  1. But if it wasn't for the server problem, the files would still be there regardless of what the status is of the modder. I would think that maybe the honorable thing to do would be to not re-upload if the modder explicitly said he didn't want it on the site any longer. But when it comes down to it, they don't typically own the mod. I mean this isn't like it's usually a matter of intellectual property. It's really a donation of someone's time and talents to the community. For example, if the server crashed again and lost the rosters I've done over the past few years and I no longer came to the site, then I see it as I really have no say what you do with something that I willingly donated to the site/community. Further, I could see that if it was something like a tool developed by someone and he explicitly said he no longer wants it here, then that would be different.
  2. Well ya. The rosters weren't perfectly set up as I didn't have the information when I did the sim. But when Moss hit the HR, I was like this guy.....
  3. Why don't we/can't we have members who are still around and may have some of those files "donate" them back to the site and then they can be re-hosted?
  4. More confusion. I don't know what "run the file" means. First off, do you have the support programs installed? Per the instructions: Make sure to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package and Microsoft.NET framework 4.5.1 pack first. Place zipped TiT DL in the main folder of the MVP installation that you want to modify. Unzip to that location. Place the TiT-friendly zipped file into that same main folder (it doesn't matter if it is modifying another file in another subfolder) -- DO NOT unzip the actual mod. Click on TiT.exe. Click on the search button and find the zipped mod file you want to apply Wait for Tit to finish. Successful confirmation will happen if it takes you to a dead website. I'm not sure what else I can tell you.
  5. Not I. What's your vertical sync set on?
  6. You need to be more clear. You d/l'd what file in the tools section? TiT? If so, you don't actually "install" TiT. It's a stand alone app. Just unzip it to your main folder and place what ever TiT friendly mod you want to install in that folder as well. Click on TiT.exe and point it to the mod.
  7. Without starting a new thread, thought I'd add some projected prediction games. #1 OAK @ KC: of course, none of the specifics should be taken literally. But this one showed KC winning on a walk-off single in extra innings after Oak takes the early lead, despite KC striking out a lot. KC1.rar
  8. Too many unknowns..... maybe it's time to just start over and re-install.
  9. FOR THE LAST TIME!!!! GO.... TO.... THE.... SUPPORT.... THREAD!!!!! Right here....it's right here....click on the link below..... I promise it will take you to the support thread!!! vvvvvvvvvvv http://www.mvpmods.com/topic/56764-mvp-14-questions-and-support/page-6#entry655505 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ There...right there... above and below the arrows!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I'm not sure what one has to do with the other, but I believe the MVPedit download is still broken. However, an admin. stuck an attachment for it somewhere in a thread. Just search mvpedit and look at some recent threads. You still need to follow the instructions on the MVPedit downloads page for what support installs you may need to make it function.
  11. Try to avoid editing in the game itself. Use one of the MVP editors.
  12. Your faces look much better in game than your screen shots. Thanks!!
  13. I've already started on pitcher's attributes (other than control --- already did that across the board earlier) for the projected starters. Found some pitchers for the AL starters who have dropped some pitches and others who have added. Some stamina got bumped up for most so far as well. Without indicating the ranking, so far the relative strength is: KC - DET - BAL - LAA.
  14. After you do something major to the game, rebooting your system, especially if on something later than XP is a good idea.
  15. Dramatics aside......maybe installing via an ISO file just ain't gonna cut it. Where are your discs?
  16. jshap: some people have reported a problem with just trades on. But especially injuries on is a culprit. You could attempt MLB only injuries / suspensions, but there's no guarantee. Until another roster comes out with full or nearly full squads, it's a problem of the way the game was programmed.
  17. jshap: injuries / suspensions / trading ON? If so, that's your problem. If not, might be a minor league stadium or some other mod.
  18. It's impossible for a computer to show something that just isn't there. It has to be reading the mod from somewhere. Look in both the Program Files and Program Files (x86) major sub-folders.
  19. Because the shortcut is still pointed to the modded version?
  20. Alternate MVP icons: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> I went to advanced search and typed in "icon"
  21. If you read through Dennis' comprehensive description, you'd find that the jerseys especially were worked on. Faces are part of Homer's pack, but there may be some in there not to your preference (e.g., couple of Royals players I changed out). As far as rosters and pitchers like Greene, first off the rosters have been MLB focused all year. Then the last roster was related to amount of service a player gave the team throughout the year, regardless of having a season ending injury or not (e.g., that's why Sabathia IS on the NYY starting rotation). At the time these rosters were made, Greene was not a top 6 starting pitcher. In the course of deciding who to keep and who to ignore, some guys are just the odd man out. For a while I was doing a thread supplementing some players, but there didn't seem to be a lot of interest, so I didn't waste my time with it.
  22. Once again, guys, take your questions to the appropriate support thread. More people read those.
