  1. Upload pictures to where? Do you mean import them into the game? Or do you mean upload them to this site? Do you mean portraits or other pictures?

These will update your MVP menus (regardless of the version you have installed), both pre-game and in-game (the 2 LOC files. Dozens of changes implemented! This will also change your initial splash screen (the one that pops up briefly before going into the game itself). It is the same design as my MVP 14 icon. Read me file included. Always back up your files and be kind to dumb animals.

  4. Updating affiliates in the game can't be done in the game. You can do this one of two ways. Simple: Open the 2 LOC files with loclook and changes the names that way, but everything else, like logos will not change. Complex: Export your existing roster to MVPedit. Export the respective teams and then import them to their particular organizations, which should keep everything else in place. However, if it's a new affiliate, then that's a different story. It would mean substituting logos, etc. for the new team. Are we talking proposed moves or are we talking current moves? I know it's true for the Mets as far as teh Bisons go (even MiLB doesn't have it correct), but not sure about the others. As far as the models.big file, I did the simple rebuild as Dennis suggested and started up about 5 games with no problems and this was in 1280 x 1024. It did reduce the file to about 760mbs. I'm currently simming through a few seasons (no injuries/suspensions) and it's doing fine. I'm not saying that we may run across an incidental thing. I recall having a problem with a manager in the past TC's and I didn't discover it until I went to the "dugout" mini-screen in game when it shows the manager's face.
  5. I could easily run some tests tomorrow, both starting up games and simming seasons.
  6. Rising Son has been doing an amazing job. I'm sure I've missed getting something, but between what I loaded and what was in the MVP 14 mod, there still may be about a dozen needed to round out the year. If I'm mistaken, please let me know. Even better, shoot me the correct .fsh file if you have it. Thanks. See attached doc 2014 End of season tracking by team portraits needed.rar
  7. Before we released it, I mentioned the same thing to Dennis when I was have some early crashes (game not booting at all). I have a models files that's around 750mbs, and when swapping back and forth I was getting different results. Good to know there's a limit. Also, everyone keep in mind that the rosters are not perfectly filled, so if you play with injuries and suspensions on, even if it's "MLB ONLY", you could get a lock up.
  8. Well, I don't know what the root for this is, but there is an "original" install method, such as what we had with MVP 12 that upgrades the original EA 2005 install (and thus you get an MVP2005 folder created in "my documents". But, since MVP 08 came out with it's installer, it seemed to alter something, and thus created an "EAmods08" folder in "my documents". So I don't know if that has an effect on stability for some people. The MVP 14 seems to be a build or at least utilizes files from this latter folder, which is not changeable.
  9. If you play online, I'm remembering that installing official patch 3 was sort of necessary. Otherwise, Dennis is correct.
  10. That's purely an audio update that would be needed. I'm sure there are multiple players like this. We didn't have the audio updates that we had in the past, but we are looking for guys to learn how to do that and contribute. Same here. It looks perfectly fine now. I'm wondering if it's some sort of function of running this thing on later operating systems and/or more updated drivers. I found in the past that older drivers actually worked better with the game for my ATI cared. Running an NVIDIA card now. Go figure. I think you know my motto: "Vista makes me Pissed-a!". Maybe MVP needs running from a folder on the desktop like W7? Maybe Vista needs to be skipped like a stone across a lake!! I'm not sure that it's supposed to show after every missed 3rd strike, but dunno.... I usually have it off. I did see it at the end of an inning, but that could've been the usual end of inning replay.
  11. RS.... another user found Trevor Story's portrait seems corrupted. Any chance for a fix? In the meantime, I would suggest people change his ID to "1" in the "attrib.dat" file. For those who don't know how to do that..... go to where the roster files are installed, open that file with WordPad. Search for "Story" and highlight..... replace with this line: 0fff0cfc8,0 Trevor,1 Story,2 3,3 0,4 0,5 5,6 12,7 25,8 75,9 28,10 902,11 0,12 7,13 4,14 4,15 0,16 1,17 1,18 0,19 2,20 6,21 3,22 78,23 8,24 5,25 7,26 5,27 12,28 0,29 0,30 4,31 1,32 3,33 0,34 0,35 1,36 0,37 1,38 0,39 0,40 0,41 5,42 0,43 1,44 0,45 16391,;
  12. I'm hoping this fills some "holes" we have especially in the major leagues.....nice stuff!
  13. Well if someone else can verify, that would help. I know DJ takes great pride in his stadium upgrades. Also, Steve Pearce's face doesn't appear correct. I know Rising Son did a great one of him.
  14. Checked behind you on that and it is the day stadium that has a missing texture. So I'll confirm that. In the meantime, you can bring in a stadium from MVP 12 or 13 until it can get patched. Which brings me to a request..... guys, when indicating concerns, please be specific in what you are finding.
  15. I think I'll stick with what I have. Not even sure if I'm doing rosters next year. Just wanted to get a set(s) out for people to use during the off-season as well. People are always welcome to make adjustments for their teams as need be. I doubt I would do all of that research just for this, unless I was paid. Maybe EA Sports will hire me in a few years.... If you're talking about Davis' batting attributes, keep in mind that this is a compilation of attributes from the past few years, barring if you're a 1-3 year player. Davis actually took a dive this year and deservedly so. The dude was batting under .200 for a while and his splits are significant. Batting contact/power are not just based on this year. If so, he would be much, much lower. For example, for contact alone, he would have a 48 contact v R and 45 v L. I don't know how to export information from MVPedit, sorry.

  17. Wanted to let everyone know that there will be 2 additional rosters sets available to accompany the MVP 14 TC mod! *A CPU v CPU set that reflects the set available within the mod *A set reflecting season ending injuries (as of 9/16/14) with line-ups generally in agreement with current lineups/rotations

    Site Issues

When trying to DL anything from any site and it's failing, typically try another browser if you have one.
  19. Well, keep in mind the rosters have season ending injured players inserted back in, like Prince Fielder and CC Sabathia, so it's not a perfect representation. This could also have an effect on the rankings as well. But, when simming to test roster stability, I've found a variety of playoff results; teams that when you look at the ratings, you would think they would make the playoffs, like Oakland and Cleveland, but they do. So it's in part resulting in chances for teams that you do or do not control to make the post-season.

    Tit 2.0

TiT doesn't technically install. It's an app that you need to put in your MVP main folder (which ever one you are trying to modify) and run from in there. Also, put the zip file you are using to implement the mod in the main folder as well. It doesn't matter that it is affecting a file somewhere else in one of the sub-folders. Make sure that you have the support programs installed as instructed.
  21. Looks good. Brewers are interesting... did they win the wildcard to get in? Was only half-way through and they weren't fixed as of then. But did a test and figured what the hell. Finished all of the teams for defensive updates and actually all of the tweaks I'm going to do for this year.
  22. Last I looked it requires (these are official microsoft.com links): If you have 32 bit windows, you may need to install these: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistrubutable Package (x86) Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86) If you have 64 bit windows, you may need to install these: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64) Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x64)
  23. I've since re-ranked the prominent (qualified) MLB players for defensive range, throwing accuracy and fielding for half the teams and ran a compatibility test. Interesting playoff picture outcome:
  24. Are you on Windows 7 or 8? With W7, the Ty tools I do use seem to take an extraordinary amount of time to "find" the game when it's running, but it does find it. I haven't messed with the updater, however. Just let it sit for a good 5 mins. to see if it finds it.
