There's a separate thread for "requests" depending on who's doing them.

Ok, catching up on Cyberface problems, other than marcoscaballero's submissions needing the official nos. changed on them, here is what else is outstanding: Hyeon-Jong Yang -NO OFFICIAL ID (user can change the existing no. for CF, but I don't think you can do that for a portrait; somebody correct me if I'm wrong). Kim-Hyun Kim - NO OFFICIAL ID (user can change the existing no. for CF). Bryan Reynolds (441), BUT WRONG FACE --this is simply Neil Walker's face according to the preview
-
Thank you for starting to ask for the official IDs. This will make it work for everyone. Also, those are some good candidates for faces!

That my be, but that shouldn't have anything to do with what's done on this site. It's like trying to fit Hyundai parts into a Chevy .... just not wise.

I've already explained it again all right here.... we're hijacking this thread for the wrong reason. Re-read what I wrote.

I understand, but this is the interwebs ... so I'm trying to waylay any confusion, not insinuating anything. We can't know what people mean unless spelled out on a chat, forum, etc. No harm.

This is exactly why CF's and ID's have been more messy lately. There are contributors who are simply assigning their own numbers to both and it's not going to work that way. There can only be one set of OFFICIAL IDs, because the rosters incorporate all of the proper information to have the player look correct, including the portrait/audio. This is why having ONE assigner (or at least a team of assigners who communicate) do the list so that there is no confusion. You can't have someone come in and say "well, you might as well use it since it's unoccupied." It's eventually going to cause mismatches down the road as long as this game continues to get modded. I've said this numerous times and spelled it out above. I can't be any more clear about it. But here ... let me be even more clear. That ID pack list nos. (on the left) that are not in the official ID list (on the right). So, for example, since Koda Glover has the official ID 0003 (or 3), if you install this pack, Asa Lacy's picture will show up, because the roster reflects Glover using 0003. That's how it works. Roster makers should use only official nos. and CF and portrait ID makers should use official IDs. They simply not taking care or bothering getting the official ID.

Ya, know/understand satire quite well. This ain't it. There's a reason why there were no comments on it. But good luck to ya.

Just saw this. Wow. It's really weird. I mean really weird. ...... All the time spent on this. Just.... wow. Man. Jeez.

You don't have them because they weren't assigned at the time the rosters were made. This really isn't a support thread for problems with faces, portraits, etc. You should make another thread, but this has been explained. Zac Lowther, BAL, SP needs a portrait/audio ID please.

If a cyberface or cyberfaces are released AFTER a roster is put out, then there is no way for the roster maker to assign those numbers that are given to the new CF's. That's why they have generic nos. (901-915; although 901 is awful). BUT, open up attrib.bat file (1 of the 19 roster files that make up a roster) and look at the legend at the top. It will tell you which slot if for the cyberface no. needed. You can simply put in the proper no. for the proper player there (unless you want to open up the roster in MVPedit and assign it there.) It's not about what models.big file is released. It's about what has been imported to that models.big file. The models.big file houses the faces and the rosters tell the game which face no. to place on the player while in-game. This is why it's important to get official IDs for CFs (and everything else for that matter), otherwise you will easily get mismatched players to faces.
-
My suggestion is don't release the CF no. until the CF has been completed/released.

Be aware .... once again this uploader/modder did not follow any procedure to get official IDs for anything; therefore even if you make this player, the numbers won't match. I do believe that portraits have to be made with the correct no. ahead of time and can't be change after the fact, but not sure. CF's can be changed after the fact.

How to get MVP Baseball 2005 to work on Windows 10

You're not getting me. You're not reading what the OP said above and you didn't look in the Windows 10 thread. -
How to get MVP Baseball 2005 to work on Windows 10

You're not really into reading, eh? -
He should be assigning the official IDs here. However, if the CF maker doesn't point out he used them, I would always check. Hell, I would always check anyway. The nice thing about CFs is you can change the nos. on the 3 files to correspond to the no. you need. If the CF maker uses a different no., it's a mess, because now you've changed the face on some other player. So you have to look that player up, re-download his CF to correct, while you're still needing to correct the current CF that you want.

2021 MVP Baseball Portrait Update (April - Opening Day)

The main problem you run into is a roster matching up with cyberfaces. If you have the 2015 conversion mod, but haven't been keeping up with most of the cyberface updates, you run the risk of your game crashing either from the start of a game or when a given player makes an appearance in a game. If it doesn't crash, you'll just simply get a mismatched player face with the given player. Somewhat relatedly, if a cyberface is installed for a given player, but the player has a generic face no. in the roster (901-915), that won't matter. The game will just show the generic face in game.

Start of 2021 season rosters. MLB level emphasis only. See corresponding thread in "Announcements" for more information. Additional information about these rosters includes: Latest cyberfaces that did not use official IDs do not have the official IDs included here. If you want to use those faces, then you'll have to manually change the cyberface nos. in the roster (either with MVPedit or in the attrib.dat file itself) AND changes the corresponding nos. on the cyberface files themselves. If you simply install the cyberfaces with the unofficial nos., they'll change other players' faces. I did not include them because if changes aren't made correctly, several players will not look correct. Simmed seasons with injuries & suspensions both ON and OFF --- both WORKED! Presently, Akil Baddoo (DET) is the only player without a portrait ID. You can always add that in manually or user the editor once assigned. Hot/cold updated zones not included. Despite finding a good site to do that again, it's just too tedious and might be included in the next release. Jhoulys Chacin moved to COL AAA level in anticipation of signing. Jose Rojas included with LAA MLB roster. All players with very low contact/power nos. were examined and corrected if needed. A few other players' contact/power nos. were tweaked. I will not be doing minor league teams, so please don't ask. If you're going to do a review/feedback, please do so intelligently. If you are not seeing the rosters show up correctly, then you are not installing properly (i.e., in the "database" subfolder, DELETE all 19 .dat files and unzip this roster file to that location. DO NOT SIMPLY OVERWRITE. If you are presently in a franchise/season, these rosters will not magically show up there.) If you find any discrepancies, typos, tweaks, changes that need to be made (cosmetic reasons, batting stances, swing types, pitch styles), please let me know in a PM or in the announcement thread. I'm not looking for feedback on ratings (unless you see a blatant problem, which is probably a typo); most ratings are based on charts I developed which correspond to actual players' prominent statistics for the most part. Thanks. Speaking of thanks ...... Continual thanks to Laroquece for keeping up with the moves throughout the entire year! He's a big part of this! Philthepat's most recent roster was very helpful in importing new players' basic information -- big time saver! Also to Raidersbball20 who sponsored me on FanGraphs to make using that site much, much easier! And to Omarito2013 for keeping up with all of those ID nos. Very tedious work! To the other modders who contribute along the way; like Philthepat, Savoy Special's portrait work was mammoth! And of course to Trues and the admins. of the site who keep things moving along and afloat! Much appreciated! *NOTE: if enough suggestions come in in short time, there's a good chance I'll release an update. Otherwise, the announcement thread should suffice on making any little tweaks that might be wanted/needed. -
You had Isbel's ID as 4356 and the portrait made matched that well. Keep it at 4356? Also, Jake Brentz (KCR) needs a photo ID.
-
Audio/Photo ID for Ka'ai Tom, please.
-
^^^Those latest faces (Moran, Haniger, etc.) are NOT using these official nos. *Users* If you install the faces as they are without changing nos., they will change whatever players have those nos. assigned to them right now. You'll have to change each face to the official ID. This face maker is yet another one who is simply releasing faces and picking his own ID nos.
