Just simmed a season with injuries on for MLB only. Of course the game is typically not going to emulate real life, but it picked the current top 3 teams in 4 of the 6 divisions and picked 2 out of 3 for the other 2 divisions. The only it was way off on was picking COL finishing in 3rd place (though they are currently last). Despite all my edits, this game really loves the Yankees Probably because I inserted Sabathia back in the line up. Not bad.

Adding to the .dat files above doesn't work. I wasn't thinking straight about it. Not sure if I'm going to do it that way...... just .mep's...... sorry. Correction: actually it will work for players already existing. It wouldn't work on a new created player. I think it was too late when I was looking back on this.

Not sure I followed all that, but anytime I run in error messages with MVPedit, I reboot my PC. Only thing I've found to make it behave.

I decided that along the way if I discover any glaring mismatches with a given player (which usually happens with pitchers), I'll post them here versus the DL area. There will be an .mep file for those who can use MVPedit, otherwise I'll post the necessary lines for the given roster .dat file which anyone can copy and paste within a given .dat file. Simply, open with Wordpad, make sure word wrap is off, copy the given line here, highlight for the same player within the .dat file you just opened in Wordpad, and paste over that line. Save. This will not be reflected in your on-going season/franchise. Additionally, I don't mess with contract/salary stuff. Also, wanted to thank Dylan for his great pitcher stamina calculator. The game will not run in true wide screen for the PC. For some odd reason they programmed the game to run true widescreen only for the original Xbox. Search the DL's for resolution changer to run at a higher pixel rate, however, as long as your card supports it. But if you don't have a dedicated card for your laptop, expect problems.

1. There's already several threads about this. 2. Read through those threads for possible answers. 3. Indicate exactly which rosters you're using and any other mods you may have installed. 4. There is an injury "reversing" tool, or at least there was. I'm not sure if it's still available. 5. Bottom line is that you might not be able to do anything and have to start over. Not the end of the world.

I know I used MVPedit to do the All-Star teams this year and it ended up creating distinctions between the player on the All-Star team and the same player on his given roster (i.e., when I would do a global edit, it would affect the AS player double because the editor was reading him twice instead of uniquely). I need to recount what I did. It ended up getting rid of that problem. Presently if you just overwrite the existing Future Stars players, their duplicate on their given team will disappear as well. In the meantime, there was an All Timers project done here. Click on the little cog wheel next to search, choose Downloads and search for "All Timers" (no quotes). You'll see multiple files there. I'm not sure what's working on these older files at this time. The minor league teams do no factor in these files, only the MLB teams. One upside to using this is that if you believe a modern day player should be substituted for a player already in there, you can do so. If you want proper portraits and cyberfaces to show (for those players that have them), you'll probably have to incorporate portraits and faces done from other Total Classic mods. You'll just have to experiment with those. Also, once you get the teams the way you want, you can go into the "team.dat" file that is one of the 19 roster files produced by MVPedit. Open it with WordPad (turn word wrap off). You'll see team names and their 3 letter abbreviations. You can re-name them what you want. Re-import that back into MVPedit and it will show with those names. However, to show in the game, that takes more doing. The 2 LOC files (FEENG and IGENG --- which stand for "front end" and "in game") have text labels throughout. You'd also have to change those for the given teams. I think to save yourself some time, use this All-Timers roster and make adjustments as you want. Keep a zipped copy of your preferred file in your data/database folder so you can use it anytime you want. Much easier than trying to incorporate MVP 13/14 rosters with All-Timers. -
