According to this site, there is a way, but I'm not going to mess with it. Maybe hunt around the official M$ website. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/download-windows-xp-for-free-and-legally-straight-from-microsoft-si/ Btw, there is a legal and official free download of Adobe Creative Suite 2 (I think they're on like 845 right now..... just kidding). For most users it will do everything you need and more. So you get the entire Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, etc.). Well they did as of last year. Not sure where things are at now, but you'd need to go to the Adobe site, set up an account and check into seeing if you can still get it. I would bet you could.

So you're going to basically wipe out the functionality of your PC using W7 just so you can use XP (since it will not keep your installed program intact and you'll have to re-install everything you want if you want to go back to W7)? Not sure what you're doing. Are you running something else that would rely on the same graphics/program driver needs that MVP needs (e.g., XBMC)? Did you try the other W7 fixes, like the basic one of simply installing it to your desktop and then modding/playing from that? Although I had no problem running it from the default program install folder for W7, I also was able to run it from the desktop.

Baseup! Rosters 2014 (End Of Season Ed.) ~ What's Wanted?
Gordo replied to Gordo's topic in Mod Previews
Alright.... since I did a pretty major update for contact/power at the AS break, I think in the interest of time, I'm going to keep the players on the roster who served the most time on the squad for the season, unless, of course, they were traded or released. Actual rosters at the end of the year get so messy with all of the call-ups/send downs and larger allowed rosters. That could mean that someone with a season-ending injury will stay down on the "A" level though some may be in the rotation/line-up, especially if they sustained an injury late. Also, I'll look at the top 2 and bottom 2 guys regarding BA and make adjustments if needed. Some guys who are especially low who got hot as the season progressed (like Caleb Joseph) should get an upgrade. Prominent pitchers will also get an adjustment regarding control whether they are a starter or reliever. Also, ENCbase13 might possibly feed in some good cosmetic adjustments for greater accuracy. Probably start on this during 1st week in September and try to get it done during that week. -
Market For Old Time Baseball, Hardball 5, Larussa 3 Cd-Roms?

If you do Operation Sports, I know you'll need to ask a mod first before posting. -

I don't understand why your screen shots of your finished work are so strange.

MVP 2005, NHL 04, TW08 and MLB 2K12 all have had their times of spiked prices most likely because of the major mods available for those games versus most other versions. TW08 happens to be the best playing as well as the last of the series.

Baseup! Rosters 2014 (End Of Season Ed.) ~ What's Wanted?
Gordo replied to Gordo's topic in Mod Previews
One thing I've noticed is that MVPedit doesn't hold the bone profile change for managers. You have to export, manually change the value and then import. If anyone notices any managers who don't look like their body type, let me know. (I fixed Sandberg). -

Then there's no point of updating rosters at all. : / -
Just trying to get a feel for what might be more wanted. If you respond to this thread let me know if you want the rosters reflecting the team's present roster (i.e., the predominant players for the team come the end of the season) OR What players were primarily used throughout the year for a given team. For example, in the first choice the Yankees wouldn't have CC Sabathia in the rotation but would in the second choice.

Download Total Installer Thingy (aka TiT) : '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> It's not a program to install, but more of a standalone app. Unzip it to your main folder for your MVP install. Then take the cyberface pack (or most any mod you are installing) and place at the same level. Open TiT and point it to that zipped file(s) you want to install. If you get an error message, then you most likely didn't install the support programs you needed on the TiT install page. Typically to install a large amount of files like this cyberface pack, it will take several minutes. You'll know it completed the operation successfully when it opens your browser to a page that is no longer available (it used to be another MVP site asking for a donation). Like with any mod you're applying, backup the file it is affecting first. In the case of the cyberfaces, back up the models.big file (e.g., name it <models.bak> so the game doesn't try to read it).

Don't unzip and overwrite. Delete the 19 small .dat files and then unzip to that location. Also, make sure you are accessing the proper install (if you have more than one install). Remember, these then become your base roster.

There are attributes not seen in the game, but seen in MVPedit. HR% seems to be an attribute that the cpu teams use that aid the players in hitting HR's. Star Power is non-descript, but is probably an enhancement that certain players get, with a probability of the higher the attribute, the more "enhanced" the player becomes. So what do you think of the rosters? This is a review section.

Your gamepad config file should be in the MVP folder in your "My Documents" or "Documents" folder (not in the MVP install folder). I also use a Saitek (P2500 --- highly recommend this) and have this configuration. (You can open the controller.cfg file with wordpad or notepad). I don't know why it calls it a "Cyborg Force Rumble Pad", but it doesn't matter. <space> <space> profile= Cyborg_Force_Rumble_Pad device= Cyborg_Force_Rumble_Pad player= 1 number_of_buttons= 12 number_of_povs= 1 number_of_axis= 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_START= button 11 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SELECT= not_assigned -1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CROSS= button 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CIRCLE= button 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SQUARE= button 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_TRIANGLE= button 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L1= button 7 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R1= button 8 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L2= button 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R2= button 6 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L3= button 9 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R3= button 10 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_UP= pov0 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_DOWN= pov180 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_LEFT= pov270 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_RIGHT= pov90 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_UP= axis+ 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_DOWN= axis- 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 4 VPAD_PITCH_1= button 3 VPAD_PITCH_2= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_3= button 1 VPAD_PITCH_4= button 2 VPAD_PITCH_5= button 5 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_FIRST= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_SECOND= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_THIRD= button 1 VPAD_PITCH_OUT= button 3 VPAD_THROW_BALL= not_assigned -1 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_WALK= button 10 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_HITBATTER= button 9 VPAD_PITCH_HISTORY_OPEN= button 9 VPAD_SWING_NORMAL= button 3 VPAD_SWING_BUNT= button 10 VPAD_CHARGE_MOUND= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_FIRST= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_SECOND= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_THIRD= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_HOME= button 3 VPAD_FIELD_SWITCH= button 8 VPAD_FIELD_RELAY_THROW= button 7 VPAD_FIELD_CUTOFF_THROW= button 6 VPAD_FIELD_FAKE_RUNDOWN_THROW= button 8 VPAD_RUNNER_FIRST_SELECT= button 4 VPAD_RUNNER_SECOND_SELECT= button 2 VPAD_RUNNER_THIRD_SELECT= button 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNFIRST= pov90 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNSECOND= pov0 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNTHIRD= pov270 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNHOME2SCORE= pov180 1 VPAD_BASERUNNER_ADVANCEALL= button 8 VPAD_BASERUNNER_RETREATALL= button 7

Mvp13 Crashes Right Before A Exhibition Game Starts
Gordo replied to asidewalkcipher's topic in Total Conversion Mods
One thing anyone can try is to take my generic team of "Smiths" (I think they're in this year's initial roster in either All Star team) and ADD them to the FA pool, then fill minor league teams with these fake players. Probably less chance for crashes with trading/injuries/suspensions. Doing minor leagues for real is a giant PITA and there's never typically enough want for them. I'll never venture there again. Kyleb was the last one to do them well (check last year's rosters). P.S. By "add" them, I mean you'd have to "export" one of the All-Star teams containing them and then "import" team to FA pool (versus "replace"). When all is said and done, you'll want to have your FA pool stay to around 150-ish max. -
Mvp13 Crashes Right Before A Exhibition Game Starts
Gordo replied to asidewalkcipher's topic in Total Conversion Mods
Injuries and suspensions on? Most likely the culprit if you made it all the way to June. Experiment with them off. -
Kole's face is fairly new and the ID should match up. You want to make sure that faces you are seeing as incorrect or missing are first available in the DL section and that numbers are matching up. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

Well, I'm glad there is no cost! Good work, but I think you should combine/group your faces on one page like Rising Son does, instead of flooding the front page of the site with indivdual faces.

Mvp13 Crashes Right Before A Exhibition Game Starts
Gordo replied to asidewalkcipher's topic in Total Conversion Mods
You're having problems for the very reasons I pointed out. We have an "official" ID list. Now understand that this list is made official by the keeper, currently Oscar. Homer's facepack is just a collection done by various facemakers. Like I said, some facemakers won't follow the official ID list, so they get missed, and therefore a mismatch can occur. This can be corrected by finding the particular face you want somewhere else in the DL section, looking at the 3 mini-files that make up a face, knowing the official number (which SHOULD be in the BaseUp roster), and changing those 3 mini-files to that 3 digit number so it matches what is assigned in the roster. Tip: you can change the 3 mini-files to the numbers you need right within the zip file itself. You don't need to unzip, correct and re-zip. -
