  1. Hey, nice to see you're alive, somewhere! Hopefully you can search through your many MVPMods memories and remember me. How's it going?

  2. I haven't been to a lot of ballparks, unfortunately. I've only ever been to Yankee Stadium three times and Progressive Field in Cleveland once. I've also been to the (former) Cooper Stadium in Columbus, OH, but I've yet to get to the new one, Huntington Park, although I've heard it's actually quite respectable as new stadiums go. Ever since the Yankees left for Scranton, though, I haven't been paying quite as much attention.
  3. I agree completely. Thank God I'm not one of those people!
  4. ....Well, I'm back from the dead. Figured I'd pick up MVP again for a bit. ...I see that MVP modding is a bit slower, which I'm not surprised at. Hope it continues a bit, though. Anybody working on Citi Field or the new Stadium for it? ...So how is 2k9? Is it worth 20 bucks? I understand that it sort of sucks, I really wish they had ported The Show instead, but whachyagonnado, it's better than nothing. ...Good last three games here for the Yanks, and I knew C.C. would rebound. One thing that's worrying me is batting Matsui 4th, and he's like 2-18 so far this season. It's really great to see Cano off to a good start, though, the first few weeks seem to sort of decide the fate of his season. Right now, I'm not feeling too bad. ...Today's the fourth day of Passover. Hooray.
  5. Uh-oh, G2? Is that like Gatorade: The Sequel? ...Anyway, it snowed like crazy yesterday, almost 3 FEET.
  6. ...I'm playing NBA Live 07, and it's not quite as bad as the critics made it out to be, in the sense that it's nothing special and not very original, but it's solid, like NBA 06, 07, and 08. It just annoys the hell out of me at how many stupid little bugs there are in there, from gameplay problems to the game simply having a history of crashing with no known reason. That game got released with a huge bug in it that was never fixed, not to mention numerous others. I hate the pure laziness of the games more than anything. The only reason I stick with it is because the 2k series doesn't run on PC. ...I am watching perhaps five minutes of the superbowl, if that much at all. As you probably know, I hate football. It stole baseball from America. Now it seems that more and more people dismiss baseball as "slow and boring" which really pisses me off.
  7. ^...Nice to see someone from across the Atlantic supporting a good cause. :)
  8. No, I'm pretty sure Cashman made a offer, thinking that either he would accept it and that would be fine, but if he demanded a higher one or became interested in another team, he wouldn't raise the offer and would just let him go so he could get his draft pick.
  9. You can't read the text, it's blurry and blends into the background. The image is also not clear enough. And I hate "Slash". But, other than that, it's not bad.
  10. First: A certain country? More like half of them. Second: Uuuh, yeah, I know my country's at war and that it's sucking trillions out of the national budget. Did I ever say anything supporting that? No. You worded it like I was purposely ignoring the fact that the US is wasting money on the war in Iraq.
  11. ...Hope you had a good time in Israel, ron. Hopefully I'm going this next summer or the summer after that. I haven't been there since I was 7. Back then I was near-fluent in Hebrew, now I know about 20 words. :? ...I want to see just one PC non-sim baseball game in my lifetime. Just one, that's all I'm asking. I still don't understand why 2k refuses to make any PC games. I kind of hope EA buys take two only so that they can come out with a PC baseball game. ...Meanwhile, NBA Live has been under par since 2005, and despite the constant complaining for the last three years, so far they haven't done anything about it. We'll have to see what 09 looks like. And, of course, the game that's actually quite good doesn't come out on PC. ...Before you say anything, no, I'm not going to get a console. I'm boycotting them. ...Think back to the last thing you bought that was over 100 dollars. Now realize that the average yearly income per capita of a Kenyan is around that much. Makes 'ya think. ...I am sick of people trying to come up with their stupid reasons as to why health care shouldn't be universal. Would you want the police or fire stations or other government sponsored institutions to be private? ...India is developing a space program. India, a third world country full of poverty. Don't you think that you could use that few billion you're using on the space program for better purposes, like solving your own country's problems first? ...On one hand I do want the Knicks to get a good draft pick, so if this winning had started later in the season, I'd be annoyed. But the season's only about 3/8 done, so there's some hope of contention. I guess. Ron's right though, we are pretty much in the worse position possible. Still, we have been, strangely enough, winning, and I can't for the life of me explain how. Actually, it's probably the fact that Randolph and Curry have started learning how to both have good games in the same game. Really we just need to get rid of Stephon Marbury. ...When you think about it, Marbury and Crawford are the only Knicks, period, who have been in New York for longer than, like, 3 years. If you take a look at a 2003-4 or 2004-5, there's hardly anybody still on the team.
  12. Use a different render on the right, it's awkward seeing the same render twice, but flipped. Also, make the text less grainy and more clear and up front. Other than that, doesn't look too bad.
  13. Not bad, but needs work. First, take that font off immediately, it's ugly and generic. If you haven't already, go to dafont.com and download some nice designer fonts. Also, spell "it's" right. :)
  14. Yeah I know that, I was just joking. I think you should use another Nash render besides that one for the background, it gets a bit too repetitive, especially when it's flipped around.
  15. Except he was born in South Africa.
  16. Are you kidding? I'm guessing you live in florida, right? You've never been in the north during the winter? That's... weird. What's really annoying in the winter is when it's like 10 degrees but no snow, just dark, depressing, ominous clouds looming over. If you're going to have to stand 10 degree weather, at least make it snow or something!
  17. Yes, I'm pretty sure there is: http://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/~dale/scicex9...orth%20Pole.JPG
  18. Yeah, that is the size, your sig is alright... :?
  19. Work on the text, I don't like the font right now.
  20. OK, you have to save the file in both PSD AND JPG/PNG - PSD keeps the layers if you ever want to open up the file again in photoshop/gimp, and JPG/PNG/GIF are all flat image files. You have to save it in both, upload the JPG/PNG/GIF to the web, keep the PSD if you want to change anything. I don't know where you heard the PNG is better quality than the PSD, they're two different file formats for two different uses. And, to dispel a common misconception, JPG is NOT better than PNG unless you're using transparencies. JPG, though "technically" not as high quality as PNG, shows no real difference in image appearance and takes much less space. To demonstrate: The top one is .png, bottom, .jpg. Do you notice any real difference? Not really, except the bottom one, the .jpg is 43 KB, while the top one is 82. Twice as big a file size, no real visible image quality difference. So unless you have a transparency, something clear, in your image, use a .jpg.
  21. Wrigley, for the future, A) always save in .psd (.xcf if you're using gimp), and change the text in the future, you've overused it, it was never great to begin with, it's blurry, small, hard to read - try the same approach but with another simple font like arial. Or, go to dafont.com and browse for a good designer font. Grunge fonts, for example, work well if you know how to use them.
  22. I'm pretty sure you posted a C4D tut on this site, but I'm sure people would like it if you updated it and posted it on your site.
  23. Oh man, I know Binghamton. Kind of a depressing town now, but fifty years ago I don't think it wasn't too bad. Has a great Italian restaurant.
