...I just played a game on NBA Live 2005 where I lost 165-164 in double OT, darn it! Dirk Novitzki had 87. -
Answer: Elvis Costello, on his 1986 album "Blood and Chocolate."

<napoleon dynamite>I wikied your face, but am I complaining?</napoleon dynamite> Trivia: Who was the first person to use the name "Napoleon Dynamite"? It wasn't the movie.

What I'm trying to say is that you have to contribute and be nice to people before you expect them to give something back to you. It just as much applies to real life as to internet forums.
-
Please list three good reasons why someone should take fifteen minutes out of their day to make a sig for you. What have you ever done to contribute anything here? If you can remember anything, please tell us.
-
Like both Ford sigs Lucas, one of your best so far. The only thing I would suggest is on the first Ford one, make that black on the sides maybe more dark gray with some texture or gradient, so it's not completely black, I think it would look better that way.

...Ah, thanksgiving. Pumpkin pies. Gravy. Turkeys. Pretending that settlers actually respected Native Americans and didn't wipe out half of their population while trying to convert the remaining half to Christianity. A true American holiday. ...Only about... two months until my string of something like 40 straight POTDs. Hooray. ...Interesting topic came up today. What do you consider yourself - a member of your religion living in your country, or a citizen of your country affiliated with a religion? For example, for me, am I an American Jew or a Jewish American? I think I'm a Jewish American. I think well being of your country should come before your personal beliefs, but that's just me. ...Speaking of which, I can't believe we have to read Ayn Rand in school. Disgusting. It's like they have to have something to satisfy the three republicans in my school. ...GOD DAMN IT I HATE HOMEWORK! ...Anyway, interesting to see how everything in the yankees' offseason pans out. I think next year is going to be very exciting and, contrary to what we might have thought earlier, far from a rebuilding stage. ...I agree with Y4L - why should I care about Jeter's tax problems? If it don't lower his OPS, I don't care. ...Baseball really has a jargon to itself. I mean, it's the bottom of the third with two men in scoring position and one out, you've got a pull hitter up who likes the ball high. On the full count, the southpaw pitcher sets, winds, delivers, a breaking ball, it's a squeeze bunt, fielded by the third baseman, he fires to first as the runner comes home for a run, two away as the runnner on second stays put. Will he try to steal third, or could they go with the hit and run with this contact hitter up? After the high cheese, he gives him a change that didn't bite, lofted into shallow center, drops in for a bloop hit, as he's got himself a base knock. He's 1 for 3. I mean, seriously. ...I was watching The Natural against my will a few days ago (although it was not an entirely unpleasant experience), and it reminds me of how a Sammy Sosa second inning home run in a half-empty Ameriquest Field sucks the life out of it. It's a shame, because it's one of the best scores ever written. It also reminds me that I should read the book. ...If the act of resigning a player isn't called resignation, then what's it called? -
Arial. Keep away from Times New Roman for the most part.

I think there's a bit too much stuff on his arms. Other than that, looks great.

...'Nuther thought: Could SOMEONE, PLEASE, I don't care if it's NYM or someone else, just forward the entry pms we sent for the stadium contest to the judges, just so they can be critiqued for fun, not necessarily for any prizes, please just 10 minutes. If you really want, the judges could rank the stadiums by which are their favorites, but it would mainly be just to see what the "experts" think of them. -
And ends every sentence, not matter how short, insulting, or long, with a smiley face =0

...Why is there anything? Laugh all you want, but it's true and a bit discouraging. Seriously, why is there time, matter, existence of anything? It's really sort of depressing and also makes you want to just ask, "Uhhh... what? That doesn't make sense." Then again, not much does. ...Which reminds me of a Woody Allen movie (forget which one) where he talks about how he stopped doing his homework for a week when he found out the universe is expanding. Who can blame him? ...ronmexico, I agree with you. A lot, in fact nearly all people suck. Sometimes I'd like to be an animal bored out of my mind sitting in a field or on a branch or in water, just sitting/swimming there. Sure, it might bore the hell out of you but... there's no homework. ...Humans seem to be too smart for their own good. If I was a god (or maybe I am, but maybe I just don't want to tell you), I would create an animal with the right balance of intelligence, enough to enjoy life, create some basic artistic pleasures, know what's going on, but not enough to take advantage of too many things. People are just too damn smart. -
Well, as a pitcher, I really suck. I have awful control if I put any velocity on it, and only decent control with a BP fastball. I've tried numerous deliveries, doesn't work to good for me. I'm more of a hitter, I'm actually a pretty decent fielder, I like 2nd because I have the range but not the arm for SS. I'm not a great hitter, but I'm not entirely awful. Not major league material. :)

What if they Phillies had won that lottery for Seaver? Might they have had a 1-2 punch of Seaver/Carlton?

Here's my one of my three favorite players, Rube Waddell. (The other ones are Sandy Koufax and Rabbit Maranville.) This is a great article by John Thorn: http://www.mrbaseball.com/rube_spot.php And, Rabbit Maranville, another crazy one. http://www.baseballlibrary.com/ballplayers...Maranville_1891

Now I have never lived in the 60s or 70s (or 80s for that matter) but it seems to me that a common misconception is that the 70s were about peace, which doesn't seem to true, it was more the 60s... -

...The world series the last few years have been downers. Sox swept, which I guess was exciting for sox fans and their bandwagon, but not for us yankee fans. The White Sox deserved to win that year, but it was a sweep and not much happened in that series. Then it was a 5-game series won by a team that won 83 games. Now the Sox will probably sweep again. This is getting annoying. ...I had a really, really weird and disturbing argument with this kid at school. I forget how, but somehow he started talking about how if as long as you weren't a Jew in WWII Germany, you were living, and I'm not making up this phrase here, "like it rocks." I then pointed out that I wouldn't be a billionaire if I lived in a country that treated and murdered so many people innocent people, even if I myself was living well. He just couldn't understand this, so I tried to put it into ten analogies, but he still couldn't understand, and by now I was really, really mad. I asked if he was given a house and a million bucks for the price that everyone in the school, students, teachers, everyone, was innocently murdered, would he do it, he said yes. I was just alarmed at that, and now I was just thinking that this guy has problems. Then, he remarked that Hitler was a genius. Now, I was fully enraged, I have never been so close to punching someone in my ****ing life - I'm a pacifist. Thankfully, the bell rang about a minute later, which probably saved a few detentions. Still, I am never talking to that ***hole again. It was really weird, this guy didn't seem to bad until he suddenly started talking about this stuff. And my school is really liberal, the last place you expect to find a near neo-nazi. It was really disgusting. ...I've go a science project due on Tuesday which I haven't started, I don't have powerpoint yet, and now openoffice is acting up! -
Why can't you resize it? And if you mean that sig there of Ryan Howard, it's very small, you don't need it any smaller, it should be much larger.
-
That's actually in a way worse, don't just change the font, do something with it - make it a little more bold and visible, maybe change its angle, make it weave in and out of an image, something. Just don't choose a cool-looking font, and put it in a corner with a low opacity.
-
Definitely an improvement, but I still want to be able to see Holliday a bit more clearly - also, it is Holliday with two l's. Other than that though, it's pretty nice. Perhaps make the text a bit easier to see or that size but just with a more legible font.

Kind of random right here, but you mentioned you like maps. I remember when I was a kid I would create imaginary maps of imaginary places, ranging from metropolises with 10 million people, small towns pop. 5000, entire countries, or even entire different planets. I just drew lots of imaginary maps, I don't know why, but when I dig them up they look really cool. Might as well give a rundown of myself, since I don't think I've ever officially done it: My initials, contrary to popular belief, are not a.b.c., though I do take over James Bond's missions when he fails. I'm a teenager in high school, I live in a decent sized midwestern city with no professional baseball team. I like baseball, the Yanks specifically, statistics, maps (hey, why not?), peanut butter, lemons, writing, playing the blues my guitar (and, for that matter, music in general), world peace, cyclops emoticons, and the word "ditto." Oh, and karma. We shall never forget ye. -

It's nice, but the render and text are really faded, bring the contrast out more.

No offense to anyone going to a private school, but I could never stand going to one. That's just me. Hope you have fun in Italy, it's a great place. If I learned anything there, it's that you've got to say "aqua naturale" if you want regular water, because if you just say plain "aqua," they're probably going to give you carbonated seltzer. At least that's what happened to me, but superciuc is probably going to come in and correct me. :)
