Nice. FF, how'd you make those effects on the letters? i've been trying to make that kind of letters for a long time, but i've never been able to do it in a way that i'm really satisfied with.

and how would i go about donig that?

i just did a reyes sig, kind of messed around with the background. one's with a logo, and one's w/o. which one's better?

thanks alot. the text i believe is "astronaut" from dafont.com. it is a nice font.

besides, just because they suck in that one specific dynasty doesn't mean they will in another. and there are also some things you can't control in games like this. for example, the marlins, nobody would've guessed they'd have a better record than the cubs. well, actually, i take that back. but you know what i mean.

the main reason was that i found out how to make a nice fade in/fade out effect, so i did that with the logo.

just did this... willing to put on a username if anyone wants it.

i cut them out occasionally, but it's not only that it takes a long time; mostly they're just not too great, some white outline showing. and when i have the time and i can't find any images, i do cut them out myself.

where do you get good psd/xcf/whatever cut-outs? i know maybe two sites, but they're not always adequate. anyone? thanks alot!

...I hate Scot Boras too. Don't these guys have enough money? I'm always waiting from some player who says, "It's okay, i don't need a huge contract, spend it on like better hot dogs for teh stadium or something". And how players always go to the team who offers the most money. And nobody start talking about A-Rod. I'm pretty sure A-Rod has actually learned from the mistake. ...Another comment about y4l: it's not that i find politics "interesting" - i defenitely don't watch C-SPAN for fun. but i care about the world and peace and everything like that. it just really bugs me when people can't just smack themselves in teh face and say "damn, this is stupid, we should cut it out. they made mistakes but we have too." but of course, if that ever happens, the other side doesn't think like that. When was the last war that ended in a Peace Treaty? Mostly the war is won, and then about five years later, a treaty is signed. anyway... ...I really hope the Yanks don't sign matsuzaka even though he seems like a pretty cool player. now, i think maybe you went a bit overboard on the fade effect. just make maybe a few faded, and most normal, and it should look nice. like the logo.

nice, probably one of the best ones you've done. i like the logo in the background, and the paled image of him. maybe make the text stand out a bit more, and you've got a very nice sig!

or, you could just say triple plus good. what's the point of saying all these "great, fantastic, amazing" stuff, when you can just add to teh greatness of words? so that sig is like triple plus good, but, say, The Red Sox are triple plus bad. credit 1984.

again, no offense djeagles, and not to start anything, but maybe i just have a different sense of humor, or i think on different terms, or something but when i post i don't just post for the heck of it - i have something to say, but maybe you just think what i say might be useless. however, personally, i don't think it's useless, because then i wouldn't be saying it. i don't try to say things just to say things, get more posts, get respect, become popular, become happy, get rish, hack servers, whatever - but maybe what i say is just not what you'd consider something 100% needed in the forum. most of the time, neither do i - i'm sure whatever discussion or mod or something i'm commenting on will flourish fine without me, but i think what i'm saying is useful enough to post, and so would most other people. btw kg, here are some things i noticed that personally i would change in the roster: cano's contact ratings need to go WAY up: he hit higher than jeter, like .345 or something. right now it's at 69 & 84 - that needs to be more like 85 and 95. also, Wang's 2-seamer has the movement at 70, and control at 79 - if this is supposedly his "sinker" pitch, the movement needs to go WAY up, and the control should be about 89. also, his forkball should be replaced by a change. i've never seen it mentioned that he has a forkball, and i know he does have a changeup. aslo, just a little thing - actually Wang's slider is 12-6, rather than 11-5. also, jeter wears his pants normal. again, these are just my opinion, you don't have to listen to me at all if you don't want to. all of the rating boosts are just my opinions, however, i'm 95% sure that wang does have a change and not a forkball. if you only take one advice out of all this, PLEASE change jeter's pants to the normal height. he would never wear his pants long like some show-off. still, do what you want, you're the boss. :)

Hallelujah! FINALLY I got my text on gimp working (just re-installed it), AND i figured out how to make that cool little line thingy (filters > distorts > viedo) watch out, i'm going to be making alot better sigs now :twisted:

It's called "bosox" - i think i found it on dafont.com, but couldn't be sure. i also found a few really good mlb jersey fonts, but i can't for the life of me remember where i found them. i think i just google searched for jersey fonts or mlb fonts or something, and found them somewhere. EDIT: i thought you mean the "my heart is in boston" part. the name is called "Certain Tea" - i think that one's from deviantart.com
