I haven't given up on this man...I enjoy it too much. I have just been working a lot over the summer so i got spare cash while i'm at college. I have just finished my second game of the series against the Twins. I will present the full standings at the end of the month but i will get a shot of the AL East so you can see where i am at. It isn't pretty though.

Both Saltalamacchia and Redmond will be given a day off and will be replaced by Chris Snyder (BOS) and Jason Jaso (MIN)

Well Manny was the first stage of me selling but i was also hoping that i could claw some ground back to the Rays but 11 games is a big margin. I have players that are lining up to get the call to the Majors for 2010 and so i need to free up space at 1B/DH and Catcher at the very least. That will be for Mark Wagner and Lars Anderson who both have played great in AA/AAA this season. I also have a young pitcher that i drafted that could be ready for next season and so some pitching may need to go but Beckett is at the end of his contract and so that will free up roster space and $9 Million which will be nice :)

My season is going to get worse before it gets better but i have just over 10 days to look into any possible trades that may help me out. I might look into getting rid of Chris Snyder because he is struggling and not getting any playing time. This would free up space for Mark Wagner plus i can try and get a relief pitcher/back up OF'er.

I wasn't really looking for a bog name to jump straight into my line up. I am trying to keep it "realistic" by becoming a "seller" because i am well out of the divisional race at this time and i thought that having several prospects is better than having an over paid veteran. I am still stuck for a quality LF'er but i decided to work around that problem from within the organization.

Chris Flores is a starting pitcher who was drafted in the fifth round of the amateur draft during the 2008 season, the Mets liked his 3 pitch repatoir but have been working with him to add a Change Up. The Red Sox are willing to continue the work started by the Mets pitching staff. He will be placed in the AAA rotation replacing the struggling Mike Prochaska. Jorge Ramirez is a shortstop who came out of the same draft as Flores. Ramirez is 19 years old and therefore still pretty raw. He was taken by the Mets in the 7th round. Ramirez has shown limited power from the right side of the plate with 9 home runs. Ramirez has been praised for his contact and ability to get on base. Due to Ramirez's age it will be a good few years before he has the chance to grace a major league field. Ramirez has a sub par glove and his footwork is poor to say the least. The Red Sox had to make addition internal moves to fill out the vacant spot on the ML roster. Zach Daeges has been called up to the ML squad, he will take the spot of the now departed Manny Ramirez but will more than likely be a utility player and come off the bench for the most part of the season barring any more injury problems for the Red Sox. The big prospect in this trade will be given the LF spot in the AAA affiliate Pawtucket Red Sox.
