Baseball is the one love we all share together

All I can say is, this site has gotten the recognition it deserves with all the great mods to both franchises.. Baseball is a lost cause for PC gamers, and with the great mods from this site, these two titles still exist today.. I think its best that the modders appreciate the recognition and strive to attain more, by continued (hard) work on progressing these games further.. Not many games can say they are over 10 years old and are ever changing.. Lets keep the family together, thats what makes this a great community, and I still call a lot of you my friends.. At least the ones I knew as of 2010... I have been away a long time, except for the rare occasion to just pop by and see what was new... I want to add friends with those I dont know, and hopefully stay this time.. I plan on attempting a dynasty when all the new things come out, and I want to share it with all of you that follow them.. and do it this time!!! Its to bad BSU-FAN had to go, its ashame really, but he made his choice... maybe he will change his mind after he realizes what he did was really out of being mad about whatever he was mad about.. We get older, we learn more how to be human and try to have more respect for everyone.. Sometimes it takes some of us a little longer.. I know, Im one of those guys because I can be hot-headed too... Just ask DJEagles how bad I was when he moderated.

let us know where you are going.. I cant play MVP on my laptop because of the patch issue with mvp 2005 and windows 8.. I can play mlb 2k12 without issue, which makes no sense to me.. its the only game that I can get to work without fault and the mods are easy to install without much hassle.. I hate to see good people leave a site over rules that have been in action since the inception of the website.. Its Trues rules, he dont want multiple accounts and thats what we have to respect.. as far as Y4L, he is a moderator, he has to patrol to make sure there is proper etiquette in the forums amongst everyone and tht we all follow the rules... the modders make this website, we all know that, without them, we dont have a site to go to... I hope everyone can get it together and make peace and put any problems to the side for the good of the community..

The patches are the problem with the speed issue.. and I recently found that I cant add the 2015 cyberfaces to the 2014 TCM because some of the faces are not correct with the models.big.. which leads me to ask, how in the heck can people say great mod when they cant see it in use without crashing and without a models.big for 2015? Its a great deal of work, and it takes a whole lot of perseverance just to do a roster update, and its appreciated everytime a new one is released... but I dont get it when others dont report it crashing their games, if they supposedly added the rosters?? so in retrospect, my problem is solved, but it leaves me with an unplayable game.. I can play a game in 2014 and turn around and play a second game, and the game crashes... its just my luck thats all..

Im sure the 08 or 12 mod works great, but Im not one for older mods usually.. I played the classics a few times, downloaded a couple different ones back a few years ago.. was fun, but I like to keep up with each new season.

I saw a copy of mlb 2k12 at wal mart for cheap and bought it.... I guess if I cant get mvp to work, I can try to see if 2k12 will... if that dont work, I will just buy a PS4 and get the show.. GRRRRR I want to play baseball!!!

Yes the 2014 mod was installed.. and I installed the 2015 roster and it crashed right before load in a seasonal game.. I dont know if it was because I created 4 guys and used premade cyberfaces from what was already in the models.big file... The 2014 mod worked as far as I can tell, because I played half a game before I did something else to the roster file... but it crashed with the 2015 roster update, so I dont know what caused it to do that, unless somehow a patch was installed for the rosters and I dont have that patch... I cant patch anything, the game wont run on my system at normal speed.

Dustin Nippert? am I the only one that Nippert shows as 756? should I download the mod again and see if that fixes the problem? I can download it, but I cant install it.. I cant get TiT to work either, it goes to the splash screen and after, it does nothing. I have to manually stop it. I sat here for one hour one day waiting for it to install the 2015 portraits, and nothing was uploaded, because TiT was frozen.

well I went to install the 2015 rosters and crashed my game at the start menu.. so its one thing after another.. I think I am going to put this game on the shelf and retire it.

ok so what am I doing wrong?? I updated the rosters to the 2014 TCM because there is no 2015 mod yet.. I created a couple of players and installed rosters to the game.. The game didnt crash with the 2014 rosters, but seems to crash with the 2015 rosters.. I dont get it, is there something different with the 2015 rosters? and about Salazar, yeah he throws 100, but he doesnt do it just a couple of times.. He can reach back and blow it by guys. His problem is that he is so inconsistent and the coaching staff want him to work on control more, and then reach back for that extra gas.. When (and he will) he finally gets it together, he will be nasty.. Just like Carrasco, Salazar is one of thse who has problems between the ears.. He may not hit 100 everytime, but his average fastball is 95-97 steady... unless STO radar gun is jacked, he has thrown 100 quite a few times during the 2013 season, and he pitched something like 10 games... but whatever.. I watch the games, I was amazed by his velocity.. Maybe it wasnt his FB, maybe it was his slider, but still, he has a live arm, and he is up and coming. this may have answered my question, I may have a corrupted models.big probably

ok after doing extensive trial and error, I have come up with this conclusion... 1. I cant use any patch for windows 8.1 on my ASUS laptop... 2. The game does work for dynasty mode from what I can see.. Ive played one game and it seems to be ok with no crash.. 3. The game seems to crash in exhibition and go straight to desk top from the loading screen.. not sure why... and this is probably the reason I failed to play any games, because I had this feeling that if it did it in exhibition, it would do it in season mode as well, but it not the case... I will continue to play and see what happens before I do anything in terms of dynasty.. I want to make sure this is going to work without error or corruption, and no crashes.. But I think I will use 2014 as a practice run until the 2015 TCM comes out in a week or 2.. depends on how the modders feel about its completion and if its ready for the masses... But I assure them we await with eager anticipation But just so anyone who has trouble with their game on windows 8 or 8.1, the game might crash for you in exhibition mode, but seems to play on season mode without any hiccups or patches.. (knocks on wood) If I have any more problems, I will post here, but I think it may be solved.. Thanks for everyone who helped with getting this problem solved... big props to you guys.. I feel a little stupid now because I should have just checked season mode in the first place... but not sure why exhibition crashes at startup.. at least I know why the game plays at hyper-speed now, the patches... blah

the vanilla game runs perfect on windows 8, its just the patches that are making everything screwy I have v-sync set to on and only on... I dont know what more we can do other than not play with the patches.. Im hoping I can install most of the components of the 2014 mod and hope it runs ok,,, and if that works, maybe when the 2015 mod finally gets released, I will try to do that the same way.. its jut the patches, I can do nothing about hard coded updates.. the game has v-sync on as well, which is puzzling to me.. if its on in game and on my nvidea settings, the game should by all rights, play normal speed with the patches installed, but it doesnt. and my screen to my laptop is locked in at 60 fps.. I cant change it

unfortunately patch 3 is just as much a problem as the 1st 2 patches... so I think I will have to cherry pick pieces parts to create a playable game with some decent graphics.. I just hope the unis.big and models.big work as separate entities away from the total conversion mod.. I dont want to play a vanilla 2005 game, that would be such a waste of time.

Ok patch 3 made it hyper-speed as well... no patch can work with this game on windows 8 if I can locate the file involving game speed, maybe I can change that back to default? any clues? would it have something to do with frame rate?? not sure exactly, Im not to computer savvy when it comes to gaming language

I added patch 1 and 2 and its back to the same thing, so now I know exactly what is the problem... now to solve it! I will do your steps and see what happens If it turns out that I cant use any patches, I will just take the uniforms.big and the stadiums from 2014 or 2015, along with the rosters (models.big willing) and play the game that way

Strange, after I did a complete reinstall again for the 100th time, without adding any patches or mods, the game runs completely normal, with normal speed and control.. So here is the deal.. there has to be something with one of the patches, there is nothing more that I can think of that is causing the game to play at hyper speed.... suggestions? thoughts? and to play 2014 mod, dont I need a patch? ***I went ahead just to be curious and installed patch 1 and 2, and now the game is back to hyperspeed... now I know what the problem is***

I am downloading the latest drivers from Nvidea, but I think they are the same as I have now.. Im trying to do what I can, but I think its futile.. Best option is to buy a PS4 and get The Show... this is so frustrating Maybe of note, but I have an ASUS N56J core i7 with GEFORCE 840M running windows 8.1 64bit, so if anyone is having the same difficulties as me, and you have this laptop, you may be out of luck for this game

If there was a way to set game speed to 50% it would be the normal speed.. I wish I knew how to make a video for it, you guys would laugh your butts off
