Did anyone else download 2K12 from amazon.com? That's where I got it, although I also have a DVD-ROM version still in the shrink-wrap that I got for 6 bucks on ebay (never hurts to have a backup). Wondering if I'll need to install that to use the patch (which I am still not sure I want to do -- I REALLY like the scoreboard w/stats!).
-
Thank you.

Sorry to post an idiot question, but is it "safe" for me to install this patch without everything going haywire? I'm using a modded exe with exrxixxx's updates.

Ditto to everything said above. Historical data is something that has been sorely missing since the days of High Heat 2000-2003. Even once MVP came along, a "SAV Reader" program had to be created for tracking all aspects of your franchise from year to year (great program, btw. Wish we had one for 2K12). Was that a Ty Wiggins program? 2K12 doesn't even track minor league stats from year to year. How hard could it be?

2K13 (1983) Chicago White Sox Throwbacks
Hollywood70 replied to dennisjames71's topic in Mod Announcements
Wow, cool.. I noticed the Sox wearing them on Sunday night baseball this past weekend -- SO much better than those weird red uniforms they wore last year. Thanks for making them. As a baseball fan who grew up in the 70s and 80s, these bring back a lot of memories. -
This happened to me --- I was not using the most current files together ("to replace" file as well as overlay file). You need to use the most recent versions of both.
-
Thanks, it's working now. I love it.

Hi Ex.. I can't find AD91CFFE7D in my MLB2K12.exe file. Closest I can find is AD91.. Any ideas? Thanks.

I really like the batters name and average in there. One of the HUGE flaws in this game is how few ways there are to identify players on the opposing team. For instance, when fielding, I always see the name of MY feilder displayed when he fields the ball. I know who my players are. It's weird that they don't show the names of the opposing fielders. So, any additions that include this kind of info are great in my opinion :)
-
I think the problem in Detroit is that they keep patching the field with sod that doesn't match the existing truf. Looks terrible, and I'm sure it's not how they want it :(

Okay I Have A Problem! Can't See Game Clear
Hollywood70 replied to Behindshadows's topic in MLB 2K12
Wow, that would be awful... Have you reverted back to your original files from prior to installing the new mods? -
I'm Hollywood70 and I approve of that message :)

Not sure if this will be helpful information... Note that when you save a game and then resume it later, the dirt/batters boxes always revert to 1st inning conditions, regardless of what inning the game is in upon resumption.

Easy on the emoticons, man! WudL is trying to please a lot of people, and doing quite an amazing job.

I noticed when you get to season #2, the All-Star game is missing. Could this be the cause of some of the crashes that have been reported?
-
This is great stuff! Regarding the dirt color changing -- I think it's set up to look like it was just hosed down by the grounds crew at the beginning of the game, and then progressively dries out as the game wears on.

Having the Astros in the AL pretty much IS the schedule issue. But, it doesn't seem to be a major issue for most folks, certainly not worthy of resentment. My method of playing the PC baseball games over the years has been to start with "reality", and then take it from there. I started with the opening day 2012 rosters, and am now in spring training for 2018. Worse things have happened than not being able to do my yearly "reboot" and start a new franchise. Mightbe fun to just keep plowing ahead into the future. Plus, that doesn't require anyone to do any work! :)
-
I suppose you were talking to me.. No offense taken. I might do that, although I have zero modding experience. Would be better in the hands of someone who would use it more. But, might be worth a try.
-
I'm on the other side of the fence. I'd like to see a version that has the schedule in there.
-
This seems to be tied to the date bug -- I find that this happens when I start a game on one day, and finish up after mindight and my computer date has changed (although it also seems to happen randomly as well). Only thing I've been able to do is CNTRL - ALT - DEL and end the program. I haven't lost any data or settings from this.
-
Hi everyone -- first of all, thanks for all the effort being placed on new rosters and the 2013 schedule. You guys rock. Being one of the non-genius types who can only offer moral support, I have a couple of questions that might seem dumb, but I'll ask anyhow. I'm trying to decide whether to continue the 2K12 franchise that I've had going for a year, or to start over with 2013 rosters and schedule (preferred). Would it be wise to wait for a while to attempt a new franchise? When/if I do, will the schedule and roster be separate entities that somehow have to be combined? Lastly, if I wanted to play around with the new rosters and schedule that y'all have been working on, is there any risk of screwing up my game and losing my current franchise/settings/etc? I keep all the "saves" backed up, but strange things have been known to happen. Thanks for any input, and again for all the stuff you guys contribute.

Oh, I agree completely regarding PC. My theory is about the series as a whole. I question whether they even care about the platfrorms that they actually published for.
-
I posted this in the 2K forums, but it's really difficult to get much in the way of intelligent conversation over there: it would seem that the only person who has any pull with 2K regarding MLB is Bud Selig. I suspect that 2K doesn't even care if they make money on this game, and that MLB is making sure they get some form of compensation. Theory being that out of desperation to have a Major League Baseball game available for XBOX, MLB has probably made it worth their while. Heck, for all we know, 2K has been paid a flat fee and have already washed their hands of 2K13. Hard to think of other reasons why they flagrantly flipped PC gamers the bird and don't respond to queries of any kind -- unless they truly have no clue how to run a business, which I suspect isn't the case. Anyone else think this could be the case?

Oh, I agree. I was just speaking about internet culture in general. 2K's forums seem especially populated by idiots (present company excepted of course).
