I agree with you, Brainy. Unfortunately, it's such a losing battle when it comes to internet forums and people hiding behind their computers. This forum is one of the best, but 2K's forums are among the absolute worst. Someone started a thread over there to petition them to publish for PC, and naturally a bunch of *** hats posted complaining about 2k12. The anonymity of the internet is such a double edged sword. I am 100% for free speech. But, people don't seem to recognize that just because they CAN say something doesn't mean they SHOULD. Things that would get a person punched in the nose if said face to face are said on the internet without a second thought. :facepalm:

On the surface this is totally understandable from a business standpoint. What is irritating is that the underlying reason that PC sales are low isn't because of demand, it's because of a horrible track record, refusal to fix bugs, and lack of ANY marketing effort whatsoever. They designed the PC version to fail, and **shock** it did. The fact that there is no effort on their part to satisfy the customer base that actually did pay for 2K12 speaks volumes about them.

I guess I've never seen the numbers. I wonder how PS3 sales stack up against PC. What kills me is that there are cost effective options. They could make a port of the Xbox version for PC available only by download. They could simply patch 2K12, fixing the issues they already said they would and including the new league format, and charge 15-20 bucks for it. Everyone would gripe, but a lot of us would buy it. Come on, 2K. Do the right thing.

2K's website seems to make it preety clear that PC is not in the mix http://2ksports.com/games/mlb2k13 I agree regarding PS3. Why would they pander to an audience that doesn't care about them, while ignoring their most passionate customer base? Idiots.

I'd be happy just to have the MLB realignment. What a horrible year to end 2K for PC. If it wasn't for this, I think 2K12 would be playable for a while.

Maybe they'll surprise us.. The fact that they kept any version of 2K13 a secret so long is surprising, perhaps there is more information to come. I hope.

Not a problem.. Initially I found having to do that to be irritating, but it's actually good if you want to go and look at all the season's end statistics prior to moving on to the post season, when they aren't accessible any longer.

You need to sim all of the blank days left on your schedule before the playoffs start.

I would stay away from 8, but that's just a personal preference. I don't like the new layouts, and the way things look and work in general within the interface. 2K12 runs really well on the new laptop.

Good news is that 2K12 runs great on Win 8. Bad news is that otherwise, Windows 8 sucks.

Apocalypse -- try KCcitystar's fix that he posted in the support forum. As long as 2K's servers are online, it works.

Thanks KC. That sucks regarding steam. I got my copy originally by downloading from amazon.com, but with no more baseball games coming out in the foreseeable, I figured having a hard copy for backup couldn't hurt, found one on amazon for 23 bucks. Regarding the laptop -- I went ahead and bought it. I'd much prefer Windows 7, but I thought this was a pretty good deal. How pathetic. Not only are they discontinuing their game, they also don't give a crap if anyone continues to play the ones they've released. Are they so thick headed that they don't realize that we are the same audience who would potentially buy non-baseball titles? Idiots.

I seem to remember a while back (2K9 maybe?) that there was some variation, and since I play in the Grapefruit league and the info going into the start of the game always says "City, AZ" rather than an actual city name, I figured something was wrong. Incidentally, Spring Training is a lot more fun once you get 3 or 4 seasons into franchise and start seeing some of the players you drafted competing for roster spots. It makes playing those games interesting.

Look in the support forum, there's a fix posted there that will help you.

Wondering if this is a glitch in the game or a problem on my end -- when I play through spring traning, all games (whether home or away) are always in the same stadium. I know there are other spring training stadiums in the game. Does anyone know why they don't randomly show up during the pre season? Note -- I have renamed the others to the one that is always used, which kind of works, but the lighting/shadows are all off. Comments appreciated!

I am certainly glad to hear this. However (not to be Debbie Downer), you'd think they would take this opportunity to release the mythical patch that was supposedly in testing back in mid-summer. I will miss new PC baseball games :sad:

Thanks for posting that, what a huge help. I forgot to change mine back before I went to bed last night, then this morning I sent a report out to my boss that wound up being dated Wednesday. Being forgetful doesn't pay! :)
