  1. Whilst I agree they aren't too hard to do, the time you'll spend doing 3000 portraits could be spent on more neccesary parts on the mod (Such us Unis, Logos, Rosters and even cosmetic stadium mods). Also talking from experience, I only did around 650 on my mod personally, but my god was it soul crushing.
  2. Cyberfaces should be completely ignored to be honest. Same with portraits. Guys don't hang around long enough in the NCAA to justify all the effort.

I believe you need to run it as Administrator and in Windows XP Compatability mode. Not perfectly sure though.

I run MVP on Windows 7 32 bit and it plays sexiful as well. Windows 7 is everything Vista wishes it was.
  5. Can be done either way, but I can't find any resource that has all team stats that are required for Dylan's calculators anyway. And if we do use Dylan's calc's, then what league level will be used for the ratings? Do we do weighted within MLB/AAA/AA/A or do the ratings based on the level of the conference (Eg. The Best Conferences using MLB, Weakest using A)?
  6. Are all the textures have the same look as the uniforms found in MVP 05 (Seperate files for each part of the unis)?
  7. The only then would be is to set weighted stats on particular conferences, for example, LSU won the CWS last year but only rated 78th in BA (.315) whilst New Mexico came 1st (.363). I don't have a good knowledge of NCAA Baseball, but from being a big NCAA Football fan, I'd presume that competition within the SEC is much tougher than the MWC, and I doubt the Lobos would put up that kind of stats within the SEC.
  8. What about freshmen? Most purists may hate what I'm going to suggest, but I'm going to suggest it. Basically, take the teams combined stats, then assign them to the players in that team and adjust accordingly to each position, but maintaining the same average. It wouldn't make the individual players accurate, but it would at least maintain the teams strength.
  9. I would recommend not to bother with portraits because of the amount of time that it would take to produce 3,050 of them, especially if there isn't a large amount of people willing to do them.
  10. I have macros enabled on Open Office and I get the similar error message for all your calculator spreadsheets.
  11. 2712 downloads

In a year where America was gripped by the race for Roger Maris' Single Season Homerun Record and the Yankees persuit of greatness, MVP Baseball users finally have the chance to change and relive history! So many people need to be thanked for this project that I can't fit it here, but they are credited in the Readme and the License/CTS screen! Although I have been granted the permission of Project leaders that I've used work from, if there is anything included that you wish not to be used in the mod, please contact me so I can remove it. Also, if there are any issues found in the mod, please post so I can address these issues! I hope you enjoy this mod as much as I hated making it!

A little present for you guys, the first screenshot of the final product to be released shortly. You probably have trouble seeing it but the Pirates away jersey is my first MVP Uniform. Hopefully it's not too shabby!
  16. insert anti-portrait rant here.

  17. That's a point I've been meaning to raise about song copyright, because I've got a songlist for 98 but I'm not sure whether it's legal to include them in the release.
  18. In that case, I take back my comments.
  19. But surely there must have been some he could have included that were lurking in the download section. I know that was the case for what I'm working on at the moment.
  20. Shame to see a TC Mod getting a bad review but from what I see it's deserved. To be honest, I can't see what prevented him from asking guys for help in the form of using their files/producing files; I know everyone that I've asked has been very generous and personally I can't see anyone not wanting to contribute if it means producing a quality mod.
  21. Hell I might as well say this, how the hell do you have the time/energy to do all these to such perfection Jim?

    1998 Mlb Mod

An update as such, not much work has been done in the last few weeks due to college work and illness. Aside from portraits, the mod could probably be released within two weeks but those fuckers are a pain even with the decision to ditch the alphas. Once again I'm asking for help with portraits, even if you are a complete newb with modding it doesn't matter just as long as you can deal with having a players face in a 128x128 .bmp image. Rant over.

Damn I thought no one had made Ray Lankford. That's miles better than my lame attempt! lol. I couldn't find a decent res photo so I matched up the main parts and smudged the skin together, which is probably why I had such a blurred skin texture.
