Thanks a lot for your explanation! I did do a few portraits with MVP but that was a few years back, i'll have to keep your guide handy in case I ever attempt some for 2k. Where are you finding your new portraits at?

Just a guess here but possibly with the old deal (exclusive) 2k had with MLB they were required to make a game for all systems whereas now with it not an exclusive deal they are off the hook on that one? That said I agree they would make as much or more $$$ selling it for PC over PS3.

I'd like to be able to use the batters eye w/o the strikezone but that is impossible in that they are tied together. Is there a way the strikezone overlay could be removed so when turned on you don't see it but then still be able to use the batters eye? In case i'm mixed up on the wording by "batters eye" I mean the option to see the text telling what pitch is coming next.

Vlad must not have sent you the Guru licence and maybe the one lower than that cause you should be able to edit everything with the Guru. I had a similar problem so I sent Vlad an email and he sent me the proper license.

If your talking about Beyondo then you have to run the program as administrator before it will let you change the date. Just right click on the file and select "run as administrator".

Not 100% sure about that. I can't remember for sure how far I took this as it was well before the xmas season but from what I remember everything was ok. I'll sim a couple seasons and see what happens.

Just going to mention that you can see all teams thta are in the AL west in the league standings as long as one of them isn't in 15th place overall as only 14 teams show up in there.

I changed Houston to AL west in xbox version and like you say just shows a blank spot in NL central, not the worst thing in the world. I did notice however that only the four top teams show up in AL west standings, players and stats however are all there when you check for them.

Don't believe it's possible to update xbox portraits.

Did you try turning living rosters ON. With xbox if they are turned ON the game loads fine when connected to the internet with the current date, it just takes a while to let everything load up and sync etc.

As long as you have "living rosters" ON it loads fine. Like you said just takes a bit of time to do all the syncing stuff.

I just clicked on the link above and then on the d/l button on the next page and it works fine.

Not sure about PC edition but with xbox if you have "living rosters" ON and let everything load up from 2k servers (takes a while) the game starts fine even with the date current. ps: You may have to set your clock back to be able to initially get the game to load up if you have "living rosters" set to OFF. Once you get the game up and running just turn them to ON and the next time you fire the game up while connected you should be ok. Tghis works for xbox anyways.

Does anyone know how to use "Roster Exchanger" or what exactly it's supposed to do? I've playing around with this and no matter what i try all I get is Stream read Error.

I emailed Vlad a few days ago about making a change or two to his editor and he said he'd look into it when he had a bit more free time. I think he's been spending time working on an NBA 2k13 editor.

I don't play NBA 2k but apparently they have the same game mode that is causing this freezing issue but there is no problem with that game (2k12 that is).

Well you'd have to set your clock back first to sometime in the summer then load the game while not connected to the internet, then you can go and turn living rosters on and save it. Then when you are connected in future the game will load, just have to let all that stuff load as well (living roster crap etc.).

Well there are two ways to play. Either roll your computer clock back to sometime in the summer when they were playing games. OR If your connected to the internet Turn "living rosters" ON (save your settings) then if connected when you start the game let the living rosters load and mlb today sync up (do not stop the rosters for d/l etc).

I was looking at your laptop link and will be getting one soon that is very similar, can you tell me how 2k12 runs on your rig. My new laptop comes with windows7 but MS has a 14.99 upgrade to 8, maybe I should stay away from8??
