I am far from an expert but I would guess that the file has 783 lines because it's listing the series each team plays rather than the games. 783 series X 3-game series = 2,349 games. Then you have a handful of 4-game series and 2-game series probably thrown in there, too, that you would replace from that 2,349 games. It's logical but I don't know if that's how it's set up. I don't know if this will help you in the slightest. I thought maybe you hadn't thought of that and maybe it will help you a bit.

well, the date fix thing finally hit me. I've got the game on steam and it's been working fine for me WITHOUT having to change dates or anything . . . UNTIL the calendar changed to March. Now it goes through all the "Loading [whatever file]" thing, then connects to 2k for updates and then nothing--It just hangs and hangs forever on the Verlander logo screen. I tried the Beyondo thing and even backing the date back to February (when it DID work for me) did no good. I had to back it up to September before it finally worked. Kind of a bummer. I thought maybe the steam version was clear of this issue but I guess not. Oh well, as long as the Beyondo thing works it's not major. It's just a pain--and something that shoulda been fixed a long time ago. Hey, 4 weeks from tonight and REAL games begin! YAY!!!!

I know this is an old topic, but I had a question. Were these sky files put into your totalstadiums files as well? I wasn't sure if I could tell or not. I think my eyes were just tricking me.

huh, I was going to say the opposite. Kemp's looks absolutely spot on while Braun's looks "off" to me. I AM a Brewers fan, though, so there is probably some bias to my opinion. His just looks square jawed and not as "clean" (for lack of a better word) to me. But major kudos on the Kemp one. That one is excellent!

honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if baseball games (on the PC, at least) go the way of Madden and NHL on the PC. Buh-bye. Color me very disappointed if that happens. I'm already "mad" that hockey isn't on the PC anymore, and Madden and NCAA Football and Hoops would be a pleasant surprise if they came back.

nobody has made any requests so I guess I'll throw this out there. Yes, I realize it is VERY early in the modding game and tools are still being developed, etc. I'd like to throw out a request for a John Axford face. Apparently a 46-save season and quickly becoming a star (just for the facial hair--he won an award for it) is not enough of a reason to give him an actual cyberface. Instead, 2k gave him a generic baby face without any facial hair at all. I will wait patiently and thank anybody in advance for this.

I saw this too, very neat! Off topic, because I didn't want to create a new topic, but in MLB Today Season Mode (and Franchise and Play Now) how do you change the uniforms? I only played around for 20 minutes last night but I couldn't find the button or stick rotation to allow me to change the uniforms for the game. I am probably just being a dunce about it but it was late and I was pretty tired. Thanks!

I just caved and bought it on Steam. I really thought I could make it until next week, but since all Best Buys and other stores in my area have it on "backorder" and will ship to store in who knows how long, I didn't want to take the chance of not getting it at all. I still will worry about a patch for downloaded versions but Steam is usually pretty good about that sort of thing so maybe 2k will have to get any PC patch out the door a bit faster. EDIT: huh, my steam download is only 5.5 GB in size. Wonder why that is? Compressed?

gosh, this is tempting but a couple things stick out for me. 1) I really don't know if I should get it 2) Any patches that 2k comes out with were available super later than the disc version back in 2009 when I last bought the digital download. I would be all over this at that price, but if patching support is crummy like the last time I did the download thing, it's not worth it. To me, at least.

okay, I got it to work. I had java installed at one time but I either uninstalled it (for whatever reason) or I forgot to re-install it after a computer cleaning. I got java back on my system and, voila!, that file turns from a .rar file to a .jar executable. Thank you for the help and suggestions to try.

Huh? When I look at the files of the NBA2k10 Mod Tool that I downloaded, there is no executable .jar file named NBA2K10ModTool. Here are the files in the download (all in a .rar file): lib (which contains several more .rar files, but no .exe files) j3dcore-d3d.dll j3dcore-ogl.dll j3dcore-orl-cq.dll d3dcore-ogl-chk-dll Nba2k10ModTool (another .rar file) inside this last .rar file is bunch of other stuff, broken into 2 more folders: META-INF nba2kmodtool both of which do not contain an .exe file So, either I'm not downloading the correct thing or I'm completely blind in seeing any .exe file to get the program to run. Can anybody help me see the light here? If not, no big deal. I can live with non-updated portraits. But if given the chance, I'd like to try. Thanks, and have a great day!

My screen name is the name of my tabletop baseball league that I've been commissioner of since 1989. We're up to 30 teams now and use Diamond Mind Baseball now, as too many of us are older and have families and other priorities while not having time to play Pursue the Pennant-type games anymore. I love the site and am looking forward to pitchers and catchers reporting in less than 5 weeks.

I haven't even played the game in over a year. Still read the site everyday, though. Glad to see an 07 mod looks to be on the near horizon. On the Forum Fanatics thing, I didn't even realize there was anything about that in the 06 mod. Don't quite understand the hubbabaloo (or misunderstandings) over it. Can't you just create a player based on you? Kraw, I know you put a list of 07mod things a few pages back and it mentioned updated stadiums. What stadiums have been updated? Bottom line, folks? We love baseball. That's all I need. MVP helps out. Heck, I'd play Triple Play if I really needed a fix and was stranded on a deserted island (well, maybe not) BTW, I almost jokingly posted a few days ago about just having kraw abandon the whole project and make a "real" mvpmods game with all rosters consisting of every registered member of the site--no MLB players or minor leaguers. That way everybody could be "happy" that they were in the game. I changed my mind, though, as it probably wouldn't have been in good taste. Keep up the good work, Kraw, and everyone else that is helping him compile this sucker.
