Apple sig it is - I'll make two, you can pick one and I'll take the other. redsox, that is probably your best yet. Only thing or two I'd suggest is just using a 1px black border instead of a colored one. Also, maybe create a layer on top of everything else and brush the edges around with black - I'm not a fan of sigs with objects trailing off the left and right sides. If you do that, you might not even need a border. One more thing ( ) - Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Color Balance. Play around with the sliders. -dan

Strangely enough, no brushes and no c4ds. I actually used some stocks from National Sig League while I was browsing around tonight - first time I've ever done a sig without brushes or c4d. The font is Myriad Pro Condensed Bold. EDIT: Taking one request tonight. -dan

I fixed the coloring a bit, you can see the difference between wrigleyville33's post and my edited one above. -dan

I agree, FF's style is much different than we're used to. He belongs to a place where there are other artists just as good - if not better - than him, and so his style is different. If you go to any "established" graphics/sigs forums, the style of all the members there is the same as his. We, on the other hand, are a group of beginner/intermediate sig makers and our style varies from that of those at the "established" forums. We (me included) still use Gaussian Blurs and Overlays and brushes from deviantART. It's just what you're used to, that's all. -dan

That's hot. Maybe a bit more spark/light by his feet, but i love it.

I will fulfill the previous user's request when I get home from Starbucks. -dan

Create a new layer above everything else Select all (Ctrl/Cmd + A) Edit>Stroke 1px Black Some sigs look better without borders, mainly the "artsy" ones though. I'd use borders on all your sigs. -dan

Random Thoughts On A Sunday Morning Updated To 11-24
Dan replied to Yankee4Life's topic in Left Field (Off-Topic)
-The Fratellis is the best band I've heard in a long time. They sing 'Flathead', that song on one of the iPod commercials. Just about every song on their only album is awesome. -I seriously considered going to a state-funded online charter school this year. Not to take advanced classes or anything, just so I could stay home and not "waste time" at school. I hate the two homeroom teachers I might get this year, and school's really gonna take a big chunk out of my web development time. But once I realized that'd mean no basketball, the choice was pretty obvious.. -You know you're a true Apple fanboy when you can't sleep two (yes, two) nights before a press event. Oh boy. -I started playing MVP 07 again, and what a great mod it is. Great work, guys. My team is Seattle. I picked them cause of Ichiro and his speed - I released him by June. I've got a young team now, all my veteran players keep getting injured. The AAA first baseman I called up has played four games and is 13 for 15 with a walkoff homer, a triple, and a few doubles - and I've simmed two of the games! -Right now I feel like the most anti-social person in the world - I can never find anything to talk about with my friends. Probably cause all they (girls) talk about is other people.. ugh. -dan -
Amazing sigs, FF. Wrigleyville33, try this on your renders (cutouts of players). Excuse any typing mistakes; I'm still laying in bed as I type this. Duplicate the layer the render is on and give it a Gaussian Blur (Filter>Gaussian Blur) between 5 and 10. Set that layer to either Overlay, Soft Light, Linear Dodge, or Color Dodge. The last two might need to have the opacity lowered as they get too bright. You can also substitute a Motion Blur for the Gaussian Blur. In case you're interested, I went back and dug up two of my tutorials... Abstract Sig Tutorial Another sig tutorial Is anyone interested in a small sig comp before the end of August? Perhaps we'll finish this one? -dan

Sure..sorry about the pic, it was the best I could find.

Just roughly Photoshop his hat to be a Red Sox hat and make it kinda look like a white Sox jersey, I do that all the time.. Not sure if you saw my post, but look around in Acrobat Reader's program files (C:Program FilesAdobeAcrobat Reader), that's where I [legally] got my copy of Myriad. -dan
-
I'd say Boston, he is from Rhode Island...and I seem to remember him having Red Sox art sometime or another..

Taking one, single-player sig request.

If you dont' feel like buying it, look inside the program files for Acrobat. I'm not running Windows, but I [legally] got my first copy of Myriad Pro from Program Files>Adobe>Acrobat Reader and then a folder or two within. -dan

wrigleyville33, use this for your signature: [img=http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/3682/cubs1id8.jpg] -dan

I recently installed MVP 05 again cause I was bored, and I must say, I love the 07 mod. Great job guys. I'd love to get into the action next time around with any graphical help. Does anyone know what the one walkup song is (no music mods installed) that has some horn tune that you might hear at a circus? I think it starts out like 'hey, hey, hey, hey, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha' NOT crazy train. -dan
-
KC, I have to say, as kickass as your sigs are, I don't see an argument; your sigs look as much the same, if not more, than Fastflink's do. -dan
-
now THAT is funny. [img=http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/9350/hollidayhl2.jpg] -dan

I'm super bored at the moment, so I'll take one, one-player sig request. Abstract render - in other words, a 3D model with no significant shape made in a 3D Modeling program that is imported into Photoshop as a 2D (flat) image. -dan
-
C4D can be a PS brush, but more than often it's an abstract render made in a 3D program. There are tons out there, especially on deviantART (only use the ones under resources!). -dan
