It has nothing to do with him saying he is "better than" you. But, of course, you wouldn't know this, so you hold on to what the news outlets have to say about him. And obviously the media is going to portray him as "arrogant" when Kanye repeatedly tries to dodge the paparazzi. He is an intensely private individual, and as such, is very sensitive to people following him around all day. As a result, the gullible masses love to read about how "arrogant" and "self-centered" Kanye is so they can direct their anger towards a wealthy and successful person. The funniest part is how opposite the media's portrayal of Kanye really is. He's actually a total nerd, who has a lot of insecurities, this is widely known.
