  1. Wow, here's a blast from the past. Welcome back. Did you try running it in administrator mode? There are also threads in here that discuss running this game on Windows 8. It can be done.
  2. Preacher Roe Elwin Charles "Preacher" Roe pitched for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1949, 1952, and 1953 World Series, each match up against the New York Yankees. Though Roe never won a series ring, the left handed pitcher was a standout player in the National League throughout the 40s and early 50s during baseball’s heyday, playing alongside legendary Dodgers Jackie Robinson and Pee Wee Reese. Roe’s career began in 1938 with the St. Louis Cardinals, where he pitched only one losing game before being shipped off to the team’s minor league for five seasons. It wasn’t until 1944 that he was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The next season, he racked up 148 strikeouts, the highest number in the National League. But Roe’s real claim to fame was during his time with the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1951, he led the team to the World Series with a pitching record of 22 wins and only 3 losses. This record led The Sporting News to name Roe “Pitcher of the Year.” After the 1953 season, the Dodgers sold Roe to the Baltimore Orioles. But unable to keep up with the physical demands of the game late in his career, he retired from baseball in 1954.
  3. I'm glad for you. With both games you must go nuts downloading all the mods for them.
  4. What are you doing man? I thought you and Mvp baseball were tight? Come on, I'll walk with you back to the other side of the forum.

  6. At least one guy is worse than Soriano.
  7. I went to soc.ts.nfoservers.com and Firefox could not connect to it. How can you bug anyone if you are talking about baseball? You know something? I have never talked voice with anyone from here either. I had a good friend that used to be on this website from Scotland and I would have loved to talk to him. Then again I don't own a microphone for the computer. Like the PS3, I am on the sidelines again.
  8. It's 11:50 pm and I'm tired and am going to log off. I'm going to pretend I never read this. They played an awful game and deserved to lose.
  9. There will be plenty more where that came from. Oh well, going to get ready to watch the free MLB game tonight.
  10. They are getting shut out by the worst team in the majors last year. SPEND SOME MORE MONEY YOU SOB'S!!
  11. Last year these guys played against Texas on opening day and beat them 8 - 2. Then they went on a losing streak.
  12. This son of a &*()&((* is going to be like this all year.
  13. What the HELL??????? Edit: What the HELL continued.
  14. That's exactly how tall I am. And we are already losing.
  15. By the way who the *&^( are these guys in the Astros starting lineup?
  16. Great idea for a thread KC. I hope everyone comes in here to pass the time. First at-bat for Jeter in Houston he gets plunked.
  17. The Syracuse area is even worse then were I live. There are two big snow belt areas and that's in the Buffalo and Syracuse areas. I'm in the middle. That does not mean we get it easy. Let's say Syracuse gets 14 inches. We'll get lucky and we will only get 10. Big deal! Cazenovia is a very nice area. I think it is east of Syracuse and I believe there is a college there. You should see that area in the summer but then again everything looks much nicer in the summer.
  18. You do a good job and thank you for your rosters!
  19. Nothing you said to him was ever taken into question as being rude to him. I feel the same way about the things I said too. I'm not from New York either. I'm talking about New York City. I live in upstate New York near Lake Ontario which is around a seven hour drive from there.
  20. No, you are in the clear here reme. I'm quite certain he was talking about me here since I didn't give an inch and did not agree with anything he said. You could tell that he couldn't think of anything else to say so he decided to talk about Yankee fans since we all know that this is what this was all about in the first place. I hope you are feeling better now. If you are not sure what your friend did please re-read this thread starting with the previous page. It is covered there and yes, he deserved it.
