  1. Maybe there could be some Malware on your system? But I'm sure you probably already thought of that.
  2. I won't do it and you shouldn't worry about it either only because it's not your mod to upload. Besides you said you already have this. And I won't speak for these modders here but when they get done watching this youtube clip they'll see that this mod was taken directly from the one uploaded here last year. I don't know if I would like that but again I won't answer for them.
  3. Ken Harrelson Ken Harrelson played for four teams: the Kansas City Athletics (1963-66, 1967), Washington Senators (1966-67), Boston Red Sox (1967-69), and Cleveland Indians (1969-71). In his nine-season career, Harrelson was a .239 hitter with 131 home runs and 421 RBI in 900 games. His time with the Athletics ended abruptly in 1967 when Harrelson angrily denounced team owner Charlie Finley following the dismissal of manager Alvin Dark. Saying that Finley was "a menace to baseball", Harrelson was released and ended up signing a lucrative deal with the Boston Red Sox, who were in contention to win their first pennant since 1946. Brought in to replace the injured Tony Conigliaro, Harrelson helped the team win the pennant, but watched the team drop the World Series to the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games. However, in 1968, he had his finest season, making the American League All-Star team and leading the American League in runs batted in with 109. He also finished third in the American League Most Valuable Player balloting, with two Detroit Tigers finishing ahead of him -- pitcher Denny McLain won the award and catcher Bill Freehan finished second. He began his broadcasting career in 1975 with the Boston Red Sox on WSBK-TV, partnering with Dick Stockton. He became highly popular, especially after being teamed with veteran play-by-play man Ned Martin in 1979, but after being publicly critical of player personnel decisions made by Boston co-owner Haywood Sullivan, Harrelson was fired at the close of the 1981 season. Harrelson served as a Chicago White Sox announcer from 1982 to 1985 and briefly left broadcasting during the 1986 season to become the White Sox's General Manager. During his one season as GM, Harrelson fired field manager Tony La Russa (who was soon hired by the Oakland Athletics) and assistant general manager Dave Dombrowski (who became baseball's youngest general manager with the Montreal Expos just two years later). Harrelson also traded rookie Bobby Bonilla, later a six-time All-Star, to the Pittsburgh Pirates for pitcher José DeLeón. Since 1990, he has served as the main play-by-play announcer for the White Sox television broadcasts. During this time he won five Emmy Awards and two Illinois Sportscaster of the Year awards.
  4. Five stars! Great job.
  5. Already tried it out. It is not something we can host or link to from this website because it has the cracked EXE provided (the EXE where it bypasses the CD.) As I said, I saw the game and there are good parts to it. They ripped off the Mvp 2012 mod to make it. Here's what I saw that was good and bad. Good: Asian teams and many different uniforms to choose from. Asian rosters with portraits for each player. The background noise while the batter is up sounds like the noise an Asian crowd would make, so that was done right. Bad: When you pick a stadium you see a stadium called Tauyoun Stadium, wherever that is. But when you go and play your game it isn't Tauyoun Stadium. It's Comerica Park in Detroit and they did not mod the park one bit to try to make it look like Tauyoun Stadium. It's Comerica 100%. When you have the broadcasters on they are saying that the Tigers are the home team here. The overlay used for this Asian mod is the same overlay that was used in Mvp 12. They couldn't even make an overlay for their own game. Check out this video and you will see what I mean.
  6. Damn that looks just like him. Great job!
  7. Do not bump your posts please. If someone is able to help you they will come in here and do it.
  8. Secondly, I was reviewing the yellow alternate uniforms in MVP 13 and they are awful. Dennis I think someone must have hacked into your account because I can swear on a stack of bibles that you've never made a bad uniform while you've been here. I won't rest until I find out how this happened! Thank you for this update!
  9. For some reason this is one of my favorite uniforms that the KC/Oakland Athletics wore.
  10. He was a good kid. And if you mean CTS screens, there was a guy named abc006 that for awhile there was churning them out like crazy. Some others were too He sure did, among many other useful mods. Thank you Dennis. With Jim around? No way!
  11. Thank you. I've already compiled a list but if you or anyone has someone in mind just go ahead and mention the person's name.
  12. This thread that I plan on updating weekly will feature some of the work that he has contributed to the website that you can find in the download section. Modders from the past who are no longer active on the site will be covered as well as our current more well-known modders of today. My purpose is to give recognition to different modders each week and to show new users and those who have been here for awhile what is in our download area. If there are any modders you feel should be in this thread please make a post in here. I've compiled a list but it is not completed. I'm going to start off this week by calling attention to some of the mods created by Trues and Jim825. Trues If you are looking for a good looking overlay to put in your game chances are Trues has already made it. While he is known for making various overlays for Mvp and now 2K12 this is not all he is known for. These two mods alter the appearance of the ball in MVP: Hi-Res MLB Baseball Hi-Res MLB Baseball (Dirty Version) Some overlays ESPN Overlay Chicago Cubs Custom Team Overlay FOX Sports Network Overlay Bay Area. This is one of many he made for Fox Sports Net. Some mods for 2K12: Fielding and pitching markers for MLB 2K12 Wrigley Field for MLB 2K12 Mvp Mods Overlay for MLB 2K12 Jim825 Where do you start? If you are a Total Classics fan you know all about him and the work he has done with those mods. You can be sure that when you download one of his classic season mods that everything included in it is accurate because of his attention to detail. Besides creating these mods he has a datafile that he has updated many times and it is one of the best ones out there to use. Combo Datafile version 5.0 Classic Overlay installer Jim's Total Classics mods: 1941,1946, 1951, 1956, 1974, 1975 and 1978. Also: Total Classics Best of the 50s & 60s Total Classics Best of the 70s & 80s Total Classics Best of the 80s & 90s Total Classics Walk Through History and lastly Total Classics Phase 10 (The links for these season mods were not provided here because they are on the main page for easy access.) Thank you.
  13. My favorite is the one in the middle with the small body and big head! I remember when you mentioned this before. I own this card somewhere too ('76 Topps traded set) and I remember stopping to look at this card because of the guy's hair. We got a laugh out of it too. Sorry I didn't know you back then Dennis because it was around summertime when Topps released this traded set in the baseball cards and I was almost done with my set and I had to start collecting more. I must have had six or seven of these cards within a matter of weeks. And to show you how nice a guy I would have been had we known each other I would have let you have all half dozen of these cards for a 1952 Mickey Mantle. I don't ask for much. Nah, I'd have let you have them. I just needed one for my set. Speaking about cards that we all had to have, for us it was the 1975 Topps Jesus Alou card when he was with Oakland. Why? Not that he was any favorite of ours. It was because none of us had his card!! We didn't even know what the hell it looked like because we never saw it. Finally after we went back to school that September we went to the drugstore were they sold baseball cards. I bought a few packs, looked through them and every card was one I already had. Last pack. I open it up and something was different. The gum was soft instead of hard. I remember that because someone took the gum out of my hands and ate it before I had a chance. So I look at the pack and I see a card that didn't look familiar. Jesus Alou! I was so worried about bending the card that I walked my bike 1/2 mile back to my house so I could protect the card. There weren't plastic card holders then so I grabbed a small box and put the card in it so I could pass it around to everyone that had to see it. That didn't work. They still picked it up. Here he is, the SOB. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  14. That is helpful and I'm sorry I didn't mention this too. But also not all the faces that those guys release need to be renamed this way. As long as things work out for him that's all that matters.
  15. It shouldn't matter who the modder was who made the cyberface. You can install all these faces with TiT or with Eagraph, although TiT is the popular way to do it.
  16. There has not been a mod made for that game in years and I also don't believe a total minors roster has ever been made. You would need the major league rosters too I would guess. There are some rosters in the Mvp 2004 roster download area but probably not what you want.
  17. Updated to 8-25 ...I'm going to start out this week's Random Thoughts by wishing a very happy birthday to Jim825, a long time member here and creator of many of popular Total Classic mods for Mvp Baseball. Jim's birthday is on the 25th of August so now you know what Jim825 means and you won't have to guess any more about that. It's doubtful that Jim will even see this birthday greeting because he's presently hard at work on a new season mod based on the 2017 season which should be completed before the All-Star game the following year. Dennis James is already half way done making the uniforms and Dylan Bradbury will be making the schedule just as soon as 2017 gets here. Have a good one Jim and thanks for everything! ...In a move that many women saw as the promise of more civil rights for themselves, a twenty-seven year old Iranian woman was elected to a political position earlier this summer. She received most of her votes from young voters in a country desperate for change. Her election was seen as a sign of hope for both women and young people and it also caught the religious conservatives from Iran completely off guard because they did not expect her to win the election in the first place. No matter though, they had a way out. In another example of the fine ethics of the ways of Islam, they disqualified her election because they thought she was too attractive to hold office saying they did not want a "catwalk model on the council." Unbelievable. Just when you think it isn't possible that these people can do anything else to make you laugh at the things they do they pull something like this to show you how wrong you are. I did have the chance to glance at a photo of this woman and from what I saw of her is that she's a very pretty dark-haired Iranian woman with a nice smile but other than that I couldn't tell if she could be mistaken for a model or not because she was wrapped up in a designer blanket called a burka from head to toe. Even if she didn't have that on I am not sure she would have been walking on any catwalk but then again that wasn't her intention. Imagine if she'd had looked like Eva Longoria. They would have stoned her. ...It only figures that the only team in the NFL that was in the red last year were the Detroit Lions. At least in that city they have plenty of company. ...For purists like myself, baseball is about to get even worse when next year rolls around because the video review process is going to be expanded. This is all we need. The reason for this is it is supposed to give the manager a tool that has not been available until now that in theory is supposed to reduce the number of incorrect calls made in games. This proposed change has to be voted on by the owners in November but that's just a formality if Commissioner Stuffed Shirt wants it done. I'm against it for two reasons. I don't think replay should be in baseball at all. It takes away something from the game. Secondly, how is this going to help speed up the game, or aren't they worrying about that too much anymore? A manager asks for a replay and it's going to take a few minutes to review it and make a decision. That's just great. I don't know how many options one team is going to get to challenge a call but you can bet your last dollar that the Yankees and Red Sox will use every one of them in the games they play. So what's that going to do? Add another fifteen minutes or so? One week ago they played a nine inning game on Sunday Night Baseball that took over four hours to play. Next year it is just going to get worse. Good thing they don't pay for hourly parking around that ballpark in Boston or else no one would be able to go. ...I am starting to get the strange feeling that Alex Rodriguez is being led around by his lawyers, who are guiding him on everything he says and whatever is leaked out of his "camp." Who knows why they call it that? Maybe it's just a polite term for people who are paid to believe you. It just seems that when one story about this guy is winding down another controversial one seems to pop up to keep him in the news. After 60 Minutes reported that he turned in Ryan Braun and teammate Francisco Cervelli (and if he did I wouldn't want to be him even with all his money) there's another story about him suing the Yankee team doctor for hiding his hip injury from him. That's where I think he's being led around by his lawyers. They are trying to sling as much mud as they can on Major League Baseball, the Yankees and now their team doctor with the hope that something sticks. Regrettably the mud is also going to land on Rodriguez too and he's never going to be able to get it off. But that won't be his lawyers problem because they're going to get paid no matter what and A-Rod is going to find out that he's the only member left in his camp. ...When I was a kid many years ago it was not hard at all to keep occupied during the two month summer vacation. Keep in mind that this was a time that no one walked around staring at their left hand non-stop because that's where they have their phone and it also was a time before laptops, console systems and 200 available stations on the TV to choose from. Despite not having these things that these days people can't live without, we did pretty well. And on the rare occasions that we were sitting down and doing nothing not one of us ever got it into our heads to shoot someone just because they were bored as three Oklahoma teens did last week when they shot and killed a twenty-two year old college baseball player from Australia named Christopher Lane, whose only crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. All three are minors and if these kids are not tried as adults for this then I would not want to be the person trying to explain to the Australians why. ...Tim Lincecum and Phil Hughes have one thing in common. Both are having terrible seasons in their walk years but more teams will be willing to take a chance on Lincecum if he can't re-sign with the Giants. Not even the Yankees want Hughes and he's soon going to find out that no one else does either. ...Derek Jeter will try to rejoin the Yankees for the third time this season when the Yanks open up a series against the Blue Jays in Toronto on Monday. I'm in a pool with a few people that I know and I have September 2nd as the next time he goes on the disabled list. ...Earlier this month DirectTv added a new channel called DogTV, a 24/7 network that is designed to help stimulate, entertain and relax dogs with shows that expose them to various movements, sounds and behavior patterns all from a dog’s point of view. Having this channel is an extra $4.99 on your satellite bill so that means if you want this you have to tell them you want it and the only people that are going to do this are the gullible ones who think this actually is going work. Well before I knew it my wife had that look on her face that she gets all the time when she pulls something nutty and our household that consists of two people and three dogs now has DogTV and so far the only ones that have watched or paid attention to it are the humans. ...A twenty-five year old woman from Liverpool, England dislocated her jaw recently after she tried to fit an entire triple-patty burger into her mouth all at once. I think you know where I'm going with this. After she went to the hospital to have her jaw reset she went back and ordered the same burger again because she said she was very surprised that this happened to her since she was used to putting bigger things than that in her mouth. ...Sorry. ...Last Tuesday President Obama and his family added another dog to their home, a happy little one-year-old female Portuguese Water Dog. These are the kind of stories where as soon as you get done hearing about them you never give it another thought and if it wasn't for a group of idiots a few days later this is how this story would have ended up for me. When a group of cat owners got wind that the President added another canine to the family they were furious. They felt that the First Family's second pet should have been a cat since 39% of American families have one cat or more and by not getting a cat he is cutting out a huge group of American voters. And they're serious. The only thing they neglected to say is that 97% of American households couldn't care one way or the other what pet the Obama's got. ...It would not have surprised me one bit if Sarah Palin had gone out and bought a cat immediately after this. ...I bought a Sony digital voice recorder off of Amazon last week and I'm still wondering why I did it. ...At his request Daisuke Matsuzaka was released from his contract last week from the Cleveland Indians and as soon as this happened I was worried that the Yankees would swoop in and grab him. I don't know if the Yankees had any interest in signing him or if they were just too slow but the Mets have him now and they are welcome to him and I'm sure the rest of the teams in the National League East will feel the same way before long. ...Very nice to hear that Vin Scully is returning to the Dodgers next year for his 65th year in the broadcast booth. He will be calling all home and road games against National League West opponents and for those of us who don't live out west I hope we can see a few of these games on the MLB Network because this guy is one of the best around. ...Can you imagine how fortunate Scully must feel doing a job that he loves for 65 years? Most of us will work our entire lives not knowing how good this must feel. ...Ben Affleck as the new Batman? What the hell, if they let Val Kilmer play it then they shouldn't complain about this guy. ...Since being suspended by baseball on July 22nd for sixty-five games, Ryan Braun has been as quiet as a TV with the mute button on. But last Thursday he released a statement to the media where he admitted taking performance-enhancing drugs during his NL MVP season of 2011. From what I read his acknowledgement of guilt left a lot to be desired and I think I understand why. ESPN had his whole statement on their website and as soon as I finished reading it I could tell that it was something that was run past his legal team before being released. He said a lot but said nothing. He admitted wrong doing but not all wrong doing. He was sorry, but not for everything. This is what I think bothered a lot of people. I think Braun would have won over a lot more people last Thursday if he parked himself in front of a microphone and issued a heartfelt apology without the aid of any lawyer and answered every question the writers threw at him. That would have been extremely hard but he would have left with everyone having a lot more respect for him as compared to how he really did it.
  18. Wow, this looks good. And I don't even own the game.
  19. Ok, that's good. But how many games do they play? I'm pretty sure their season is under twenty games. What kind of stats are you going to get out of that? I do. How's it going to look when you got a ten year old kid hitting the ball 420 feet out of the ballpark? Then if you do that why bother to get the actual rosters if you are just going to add players at random? And the big difference between that Little League game made for the consoles is that the game was made originally with Little League baseball in mind. Mvp 2005 was not. Good luck if this is something you want to do and I wish you well in this.
  20. Well I don't think it is possible for this mod to be made because of some of things you said. Modders have edited some stadiums but never have brought the fences in that close. And you can't do anything about the basepaths either. They are going to be 90 feet apart and that's another strike against this mod. Another thing that I believe is hard-coded into the game is that each team has 24 or 25 players, something like that. A little league team doesn't have that many. And speaking of rosters where do you propose getting them from? I don't know how Java or HTML is going to be of any assistance in creating a mod. This game is highly moddable but I don't think it was made for this in mind. But that's just how I see it from here.
  21. Babe Herman Babe Herman was born on Friday, June 26, 1903, in Buffalo, New York. Herman was 22 years old when he broke into the big leagues on April 14, 1926, with the Brooklyn Robins. When Babe Herman died in 1987 one headline said "Daffiest of the Dodgers." But Babe Herman, the daffiest Dodger, wasn't daffy at all. When he died the newspaper obits recalled his legendary exploits. The time at Ebbets Field a fly ball bounced off Babe's head and over the fence for a ground-rule double. The time he doubled into a double play. Babe never took issue with the sportswriters who etched the semi-fiction into stone with their typewriters. That fly ball never bounced off his head. It bounced off the head of teammate Al Tyson, who replaced Babe a few innings earlier. The official scorer failed to notice the substitution. True, a fly ball lost in the sun once bounced off Babe's shoulder, but as he explained at the time, "Shoulders don't count." He did double into a double play, but only because a teammate fell asleep between second and third and got passed by a hustling Babe. The cigar story is absolutely true. Babe was chomping on the cigar. Called to the phone, he stuffed the cigar into the breast pocket of his suit. After hanging up, he fished out the stogie and, without a match, puffed it back to life. Seems there was a spark smoldering in the ash of the seemingly-dead cigar. But that's not so much daffiness as a simple case of a man knowing his cigar. The funny stories almost make you forget that the Babe turned himself into an outstanding outfielder for the Dodgers, and that he could hit a baseball. Rogers Hornsby said Herman hit the ball harder than anyone. Al Lopez once said, "Babe swung a bat with more ease and grace than any man I ever saw." He was tall, 6-4, and a rangy player, but unlike the other Babe, Herman's swing wasn't an awesome power sweep. It was a rapier-like slash. Ty Cobb taught Herman to aim for the pitcher's forehead and let the hits fall where they may. One season, 1930, 241 of them fell. "People think Herman was a stupid clown when he was at the height of his career," Charlie Dressen once said. "I know different, because I played with him and also managed him. Let me tell you, Herman was a good outfielder. He could hit and throw. He was nobody's fool." Herman retired in 1945 with a career batting average of .324 with 181 home runs and 997 RBI.
  22. Glad you liked this week's edition Dennis and thank you for responding in here too. It's always nice when people do. I couldn't stand those spiral notebooks too and it was years after I was out of school when I finally found those kind of notebooks made for lefties. I would have loved to go in that place to look around because I know I would have come out of there with a few goodies for myself. There's a left handed store in San Francisco that seems to sell a lot of stuff but you really got to take a close look at it. A lot of items are overpriced and a lot of them I wouldn't buy even if they sold them at Staples.
  23. This mod has not been on this site in many years.
  24. I love these uniforms.
