  1. Here's Judas Priest's You got another thing comin' from their 1982 album Screaming for Vengeance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWhInhE6emE
  2. Some people updated the rosters just like you. Most people didn't update the rosters and waited for others to do it for them. :)
  3. With daflyboys roster you don't need to. That guy knows his rosters.
  4. Yeah but it's easier to make someone else do it for you.
  5. Here we go kyleb! Now you got to make another patch just for Youkilis.
  6. Mvp 2012 Continued Starlin Castro steals second base in the last of the eighth but did not score. There must have been about five balls that got past Darwin Barney like this in today's game. The only time this guy was able to catch the ball was when it stopped rolling. Jeremy Affeldt is ejected from the game. He was the second Giant pitcher in the game to be thrown out but the difference between this one and Lincecum's ejection is that Affeldt aimed for and was successful in hitting Reed Johnson on purpose. Another attempt by the Giants to pick off a Cub base runner and this time the ball gets past first baseman Aubrey Huff. Final score, Giants 9, Cubs 7. Sergio Romo retires the side in order for the save.
  7. Mvp 2012 Continued Lincecum did have flashes of brilliance however as he managed to strike out five in his three innings plus of work. This throw was a bit wide and the Giants were lucky that it did not get away. David Dejesus is caught between second and third after he doubled and tried to stretch it into a triple. After he saw what a bad idea it was he tried to scamper back to second but the Giants were having none of that. This Buster Posey single loaded the bases for San Francisco and before the inning was over the Giants scored two runs to take the lead 9 - 7. A fine day for a game at Chicago's Wrigley Field as the last of the seventh inning is about to begin.
  8. The next mod that will be reviewed in this thread is the Mvp 2012 mod. This mod is without a doubt the most eagerly anticipated season mod in the past few years on this website and that includes the past few total classics mods that have been posted here. Of course there is a very good reason for this. The total classics mods are worked on without the knowledge of the entire community here for two very good reasons. First the modders are able to work on their mod at their own pace and when it is done and they are satisfied, they release it. Secondly, if they announced they were working on a mod they'd get bothered with questions again and again as to when it is coming out. Ask Jim or Krawhitham or Homer to confirm this. When they are done, they are released, much to everyone's surprise. Not so with this 2012 mod! The idea for this mod started with daflyboys when he asked if this mod could take place. Then Kyleb (a guy who did not have the PC version of the game until recently) said why not and took charge of the project and before long the great modders that we have here chipped in and the mod slowly started to come together. Finally after much beta testing the mod was competed last week and the results were well worth the wait. You can download the 2012 mod right here. The installation of this mod is quick and easy. Just point the installer in the right direction to a clean copy of Mvp 05 and then get out of its way. Once you are done with the preliminaries you can get into the game and the first thing you should do is have a look around, and I'll explain further in a minute. Something that will stand out when you are getting ready to play a game is the unbelievable amount of uniform choices you have here. In the mod description it says that there are over seven hundred uniforms to choose from and that is from A ball right up to the major leagues. A lot of these uniforms were made by bctrackboi11 and Dennis James, two people whose talents were invaluable in the making and completion of this mod. As I stated previously, look around the mod. Check out the uniforms and try them out. If there are any questions about one of them bring it to kyleb's attention and he will take a look at it. Also check out other areas that you think may have to be changed. There has been some minor things that have already been caught by different users and kyleb addressed every one of the issues when he released the first patch for Mvp 12 a few days after the mod was posted. One very interesting direction they went into with this mod was the elimination of the classic stadiums and in their place they have put in minor league parks and also the Tokyo Dome. This I thought was an outstanding idea and while I do not know if it was their intention or not this decision to remove the older stadiums in favor of these parks was a subtle move to distinguish their work from previous mods. If so, it worked because these minor league parks look good. The jukebox music in this mod is as modern as the mod itself. Kyleb stated that he wanted to have this particular jukebox focused towards modern rock music and I am here to tell him that I believe he succeeded in doing so because I personally have never heard of any of these songs. Another big part of this game is the batter walk up music that was put in here. They must have spent a lot of time with this because the walk ups are jam packed with different songs. And if you want a roster set that is up to date with the latest moves, get the one made by daflyboys and keep in mind the next update will be after the July 31 trading deadline. This is a mod that Mvp enthusiasts will enjoy playing again and again and this is also a mod that will return former Mvp players to Mvp baseball. Video: Alfonso Soriano makes the last out of the game. Screenshots Ryan Dempster started for the Cubs today but did not stay in the game long or earn a decision. Dempster gave up six runs in 5 1/3 innings and left the game with the lead but with a high pitch count of 102. Melky Cabrera scores the Giants first run on a double by Pablo Sandoval. Giant pitcher Tim Lincecum was wild today. Here he hits his counterpart Ryan Dempster with a pitch, the first of two times that he did it in the game. The second time he did it in the fourth inning he was ejected. Both benches were warned after the first time Dempster was hit. Even though it was unintentional it still was a good feeling for Dempster as he scored the tying run on Starlin Castro's triple.
  9. Well I'm an axegrinder, Piledriver Mother says that I never never mind her Got no brains I'm insane Teacher says that I'm one big pain.... And that began the biggest hit of Quiet Riot's career, this 1983 song called Metal Health. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3oeGwq9Qy0
  10. As the old saying goes there is more than one way to skin a cat and the more that I thought about what Kyleb said about breaking up the patch into smaller files to install with TiT the more I figured why not give it a try? I was going to do this later on tonight but curiosity got the better of me and I tried it just now. Result? It worked. Vista seems to throw a fit when it comes across a TiT file that is too big for their liking and I cut it down to size like kyleb said and all is right in the world now. Now that this is over I can get to work on the much anticipated Mvp 2012 mod review. For those of you filling up my PM inbox asking about this hold on because it will be posted soon. Thank you kyleb.
  11. No, it didn't get corrupted. The patch is just a little less than 20mg and I tried it a few times and got the same file size each time. Now when I tried to install this patch on my XP laptop it worked perfectly. This convinces me more that it is a Vista issue. So that takes care of that. I'll have the updated 2012 game on my laptop and not on my desktop. I'm kind of curious to know how long this took you? So instead of a 19 to 20 mg file I could have a few smaller ones? Hmmm. This could work. I can try this tonight when I have some time to spare.
  12. I did exactly this Jim (I should add without drinking anything) and the same thing happened. I really have come to the conclusion that it is another "Vista" issue. I had no trouble installing the updated red White Sox uniforms or the updated Yankee uniforms that Dennis made but for a bigger file like this patch is it did not work. I kept on getting a message that the TiT stopped working and when you see that error message come up you know it's not going to work.
  13. Yes I do. I always run it in administrator.
  14. Jim, I have Vista. And, hahahaa, (I'm having a hard time typing this) I own the game. Wait. Let me check. Yes I do. :good:
  15. No, they are not read only. All my installs are the same.
  16. Two more I never heard of! You know who would have really loved this thread and would have posted more songs that I never heard of? MarkB. That guy was a big rap fan and one time he had me listen to one of his songs and my ears rang for three days. That being said, here's one that I am familiar with. A good song with a great guitar solo - the perfect recipe for a song. Here's Ozzy Osbourne's Mr.Crowley.
  17. I installed this with TiT just like the instructions said.
  18. How do you like that? You learn something every day. Thank you RRoy.
  19. I wish I knew what was going on now.
  20. Kyleb maybe it is just me but after I applied the patch I can not get the game to load up. I'm able to start the game, pick the teams and uniforms, lineups and stadium but after that it just hangs.
  21. Don't know if this has been brought up before but there's a uniform mistake with the Brewers. In the Brewers uniform choices there is an option to pick the 1957 Milwaukee Braves. Right city, wrong team. This should be in the Atlanta Braves section,
  22. Excellent job! Your attention to detail is admirable. Thank you very much.
  23. Rush? One of the best. I had one in mind the other day but neglected to grab it. This one's early Iron Maiden. I'm sure everyone has heard of these guys but not many of you with the original lead singer Paul Di'anno. As good as Bruce Dickinson is, this guy is just as good. Here's Killers, from their second studio album Killers that was released in 1981. This is the studio cut of the song.
