  1. This is why I think a lot of these modders kind of died off around here and stopped doing what they did best. There is always someone in here that has to tell them what to make. It's true, a good cyberface is time consuming and I believe they should make the players they want to make instead of paying attention to people like that.
  2. Well you could always go make one yourself starting right now instead of telling others what you want.
  3. Yes sir Homer, that is exactly what I was thinking. These new people are getting a glimpse of one of the original cyberface modders around here when this place was in its heyday and it is great to see jogar back here. All people have to do is go to the Mvp 2005 cyberface section and you will see this guy's work scattered over all 77 pages of downloads in that particular area. It's a great thing for this website that jogar has come back here.

Sounds like a Yankee fan I know very well. Jim's right. You can spot these spam accounts with ease. But even though these can be annoying and a pain to clear off the forums, these are not the worst things that can happen to the people that run these websites. Make no mistake, seeing these Cialis ads and Viagra ads that pop up are things we all have no use for, but the spammers who are even worse are the ones who seem to create accounts late at night or early in the morning and instead of posting links to online drug places, they post tasteless and disgusting pornographic photos, usually guys on guys. I remember once a few years back when I was still working and I logged in here around 5 am and I caught five threads with the same photo that I never want to see ever again. Fortunately those accounts are a rarity here. But when the summer comes you can put money down on some kid doing it. This is why I want to suggest one thing to you Jim that could help in stopping these spammers. Is there a way to prevent everyone from creating a new account on here from around let's say 2 am to 8 am East coast time? So whomever wants to make an account will get message telling them exactly why this is done and to ask them to come back later to register on the site. That way, if a spammer is going to make an account and post his Viagra links, he'll do it after 8 am when a staff member is here and they can get rid of it quickly instead of having it on the site for a few hours when everyone is asleep. I don't know if Trues can set this up but I think it is worth asking.

No, I don't think you are. But as Homer stated in his post, those idiots that are doing this are finding loopholes to get past this no new registrations that they have over at Mlbmods. If you check out that website, especially in the mornings, you will see that these accounts have been having no trouble at all getting access on Mlbmods and spamming the hell out of it. Can you imagine if there was no ban on new users for those guys? Homer wouldn't have time for anything because he's doing it all himself over there. Right now the registration freeze is good for them over there and as far as waiting for a month for new users to post, I'd go as far as making it even longer.

Yeah, and in case you ask, I am not downloading it for you.

Norton is a piece of ****. Mlbmods doesn't have any trojans. And if you can't register there, then there's nothing you can do about it. No.
  8. First of all, it's always a pleasure to see KC on this site. When this site was at its peak, KC was here daily and he was (and still is) an important part of it. Nice to see you! Now, on to this. I am having this same problem. I have always heard that it is easier for men to lose weight then it is for women but I don't really know about that. I have found a TV show that really educates you on proper steps for weight loss, what to avoid, what to have, tips for it, etc. Have you ever heard of the Dr. Oz show? If you haven't, this guy really knows what he is talking about. He also covers many other things besides the weight loss topic, but they are all interesting. And he even films his show down in New York where you are. Now that I am home now, I watch him daily and he has really helped me. Above all KC, good luck.
  9. I have soured on that son of a bi*** ever since he showed his true colors during the contract negotiations. You are one lucky father. It must be so nice to teach her about baseball. By the way, what is her favorite team? Yeah, me too. I'll be heading to bed soon too. Well, maybe I can watch it a few more times and then that's that. My wife knows the same thing but that's still not going to stop her from hitting me in the ribs. I even went as far as asking her to keep the slapping down to a five a day limit. :)
  10. Let me answer this question first my friend. Go to this thread right here and you will get some information about Cooperstown. A word before you read it though, I made that thread in 2009 and probably the prices of admission to the museum may have gone up since then. There are plenty of things for people of all ages to do and see there. Your little girl will love that little village. I've been there many times. Well, that is true. But at the same time I don't plan on keeping up with current events while I am there. Even Derek Jeter and the Yankees can go to hell when I am under the warm, Hawaiian sun. You got it. Provided I can keep what is in it. My wife has plans for us to see the sights there like the zoo and shopping areas, but I am going there for one and only one reason. I mean, who am I kidding in here? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=relAFeWI4ws It isn't the best video, but it gets the point across ok.
  11. Thank you Hector, and also to everyone else who come in here on Sundays to read this thread. You know, I guess what I am trying to say is that I wish others would come in here too every so often and post stuff too because I love reading things from other people. You guys have some pretty interesting opinions. Kind of like what redeck and emath did today. They just posted some basic stuff but it was pretty good. Anyhow, as I said I will be gone for the next two Sundays and I honestly can't wait. The wife and I are going to Honolulu, Hawaii for two weeks. I am finally going to take her to where I used to live so many years ago. It should be a lot of fun and since we are getting away from the snow, that is all I care about. We will be staying at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach Hotel. Here is a short Youtube clip of the hotel. If anyone has ever been there, this hotel is right on Kalakaua Avenue and is directly across the street from the International Marketplace, where my wife will be buying plenty of things we do not need. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVW-tt5L2Qw
  12. Not you! From what I have been reading you know exactly what you are doing.
  13. You are a rarity in here my friend. Thank you. Where I am going Dylan I wish I did not have to leave when I get there. I am so tired of this snow.
  14. Updated to 2-27 ...It was great seeing the Yankees yesterday play a spring training game. Having live baseball on TV is always the first sign of spring, although some of the days we've had here in the east could convince anyone that winter isn't going anywhere any time soon. ...Personally the best thing about viewing yesterday's game was knowing that Javier Vazquez and Nick Johnson were no where near Steinbrenner Field. ...How's the DH spot going for you Posada? Don't like it? Then retire you S.O.B. ...I've never watched one episode of 2 1/2 men so I really don't know what I'm missing, but I would imagine it would be hard for that show to continue next year with a personality like Charlie Sheen around. ...Congratulations to Joe Torre for being hired by Major League Baseball as the Commissioner's executive vice president of baseball operations. He'll fit right in there. He already knows how to double talk his way out of anything. ...Hey, you hear what Miguel Cabrera said this week? Get a load of this. While on his way to rehab, he said he wasn't an alcoholic. Right. And Albert Pujols isn't greedy. ...One of the best websites on the internet has to be the Internet Movie Database. I don't think there is a day that goes by when I am not on that site. ...What to get a good laugh? Hide someone's cell phone, especially a person who can't go five minutes without touching it. ...Some good things going on in here this week. The legend that is Dennis James released a new update for one of his ballparks, jogar84 provided us with a site that provides hi-res photos of the players and based on my reading the 2011 roster thread, that seems to be coming along very nice. Seems to me there's only one idiot in there who doesn't know what he's doing. ...Not that anyone cares, but there will be no random thoughts for the next two weeks. I will be away on vacation beginning March 5th and the least of my concerns is coming in here and doing this for people who seemingly don't read it.
  15. Updated to 2-20 ...With the first week of Yankee spring training camp opening, the Yankee beat writers didn't waste any time stirring the **** as they had to get all over Joba Chamberlain because he arrived with a little more weight on him. Joba explained the weight gain and that was good enough for me. All I really care is if he produces. ...I just don't get it. I know they have to sell newspapers, but focus on the joy of baseball being back and spring training beginning instead of ten extra pounds on one guy. That's all I read this week. ...As expected, the Albert Pujols deadline for the St. Louis Cardinals to sign him came and went. Pujols is not the original selfish ballplayer but he carries on the tradition very well. At the end of the year there is going to be a whole bunch of Cardinal fans very unhappy - and one ballplayer who could care less. ...Speaking of the Cardinals, if Miguel Cabrera drinks himself out of a job in Detroit, they can trade him to St. Louis, where they can pay him in Budweiser. ...I think that if Larry Rothschild can do the seemingly impossible and straighten out head case A.J. Burnett they'll give him a plaque in Monument Park. ...I noticed that this week a 2011 roster thread was started and it's my hope that it can eventually be used for the new mod. I got a lot of faith in this community here. If one thing is started for the new mod this could make other parts of the mod become a reality to. ...Frank Caliendo's impressions make me laugh every single time I see them done. That guy's got a real talent. ...I am hoping for a fast resolution between the NFL and the NFL players because like anyone else, I don't want to see another strike. But let me tell you the difference between football and baseball to me. When baseball season ends, I miss it. When football season ends, I don't. ...If anyone in here has any expectations that 2K11 is going to be different and better than 2K10, please feel free to buy the game when it is released in a few weeks and then come back in here after you've played it to let us know that you were once again burned by 2K Sports. ...Why is that you find so many things that you have to do before you get ready to leave for a trip? Once on thing is taken care of, something else comes up. Well, it will be all worth it in two weeks.
  16. Updated to 2-13 ...Well, I'm all ready for the big day tomorrow. After buying the Valentine's day card, the flowers and the gift, it set me back a little over one hundred dollars. It's the last little dig the stores hit you with until Christmas rolls around again. If they could I bet they would love to think up a major gift giving day right between Valentine's Day and Christmas but I don't think they can get people to exchange gifts on the Fourth of July. Lose with a smile, because these SOB's always win. ...Green Bay may be a small market team but they know how not to pass up any opportunity to soak their fans just like their big city cousins. They charged their fans five dollars to fill Lambeau Field for a victory party. But what the hell, it worked. They filled the stadium even though it was 3 degrees outside with the wind chill below zero. Just goes to show that if any of those people had any brains they were frozen long ago. ...There is no truth to the rumor that Brett Favre will be joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars. Of course, that's what was said on Saturday. Maybe today he'll have a change of heart and alert the media to his decision via text message. ...The people that operate the HHH Metrodome in Minneapolis are going to be spending 18.3 million dollars to repair the roof on the place even though the Vikings are still insisting on wanting a new place to play. My question is why? The Metrodome opened up in 1982, which is 29 years ago for those of you not keeping score. When the place opened, they loved it. Now, in 2011, they hate it. I wonder if the Twins will tell them to get lost if they want to play in Target Field? ...Robinson Cano this week hired Scott Bora$ as an agent. This ***** puts it together for one year and this is what he does. I could care less what Cano did last year, I'm still not a fan of his. Also, because this off season has been going so well, Nick Swisher hired Bora$ too. He makes the All-Star team for the first time and he has to run to Bora$. Two more headaches the Yankees have to worry about. ...I have got to watch a New York Islanders hockey game as soon as I can. Check out this photo gallery at SI.com and you will see why. Nothing wrong with my eyes. ...Now I have nothing against Canadians. In fact some of the nicest people I never met on this website are Canadian, but in this case maybe you guys went off the deep end. Or at least the people that live way up there in Quebec. Seems as if they have an Ice Hotel up there and people actually pay money to go there to freeze. Now get this: the temperature inside the hotel is between -3°C and -5°C. Great! People from Minnesota can go there in shorts and T-shirt and be none the wiser. Now get this from the FAQ from the site: All our beds have a solid ice base, with a wooden bedspring and mattress on top. Mattresses are covered with blankets, and people sleep inside arctic sleeping bags designed to stay warm in temperatures as low as -30°C. Can you believe that? Stuff like this amazes me. And right now if you go there in the next three days you can stay there for $149.50. Pardon me, I got to leave right now so I can load up the car and get there before the special is done. ...Boy those people in Quebec must really hate the summer. I bet they sleep on ice blocks just because it reminds them of the winter. ...I got distracted with all this stuff and I almost forgot to mention that a major update was done to the Mvp Caribe 2010 mod. They released version 1.1 of that mod and it is a big download. The download is over 1 gig so you know they had to update a lot of things. Hector and company really know what they are doing and they deserve our support. ...Sometimes I get stupid songs stuck in my head but that's not the case when I hear Diamonds are Forever. It's from a 1971 James Bond movie and I never get tired of listening to it even after all these years.
  17. Attention redeck: see Oscar Gamble. If you need more information, Dennis James can fill you in.
  18. Updated to 2-6 ...Now I know that this is going to provide no comfort at all, especially those of us living in the areas of all this heavy snow, but pilgrimage of players to Florida and Arizona begins this month for the start of Spring Training and to have even a bit more fun, next month when the regular season starts on March 31st, with six games being on the schedule that day. ...I really don't care about the Super Bowl today. From watching one group of fans with cheese hats on their head looking like idiots and the other side with Steeler fans cheering on their quarterback who got away scot-free on sexual assault charges. All was forgiven because Big Ben Roethlisberger got the Steelers to the Super Bowl. It will be completely forgotten if Pittsburgh wins. ...Now that I think more of it, I think I just might watch the Puppy Bowl today with my wife. ...What an off season for the Boston Red Sox! Now come on, you know they got to be loving the news that Andy Pettitte sprung on the Yankees this past Friday. He's not coming back, he's done, etc, etc. The Sox don't have to say a damn thing. They know as well as everyone that the Yankees don't have the pitching with him gone and what's more, the Yankees know it. High fives in Boston. ...What worries me now is that before Opening Day the Yankees will make some kind of big move to acquire a pitcher that they think will hold all the answers for them and all they'll have to give up is two or three of their top players in the farm system. ...To be honest, I don't care if he is gone. Don't get me wrong. I'm going to miss him and I appreciated what he did for that team. One Andy Pettitte is worth more than 100 of A.J. Burnett. He earned his right to leave on his terms. I just wish he would have said it earlier so he would not have strung on the Yankees for as long as he did. ...Got my taxes done yesterday. I've always been one to get this over with as early as possible so I can forget about it for another year. ...Sarah Palin trademarked her name recently. Right. Like anyone else would want to use it. She must really be in love with herself. ...The plow guys who come to clear our streets from snow must be psychic. They always manage to come and clear the roads and place the snow from the street back on my driveway just when my plow guy who does my driveway is done and gone. And they haven't missed yet this winter. ...Only eight more shopping days until Christm..I mean Valentine's Day.
  19. Total Classics 1927, Integrated continued Going to the bottom of the seventh, the Browns hold a slim 1 - 0 lead. Bottom of the seventh inning now, Hal Wiltse has lost the plate. Here he walks his second person of the inning. This was ruled not a catch and suddenly the Browns had the bases loaded and one out. Too late, by one batter. Sox have their bullpen all warmed up but went to them a batter too late as St. Louis' Ken Williams hit a two run single to extend the Browns lead over Boston to 3 - 0. The Sox don't quit: A blooper to right field puts men on first and second with one out in the eighth inning. George Sisler, the greatest player in Browns history. Bing Miller squeezes the ball for the final out as William Bell, Sr shuts out the Red Sox on six hits. Disappointed Red Sox prepare to leave the field.
  20. Next up in this thread is Total Classics 1927 (Integrated version, Phase 1.) You can download this mod right here. Three people are responsible for the creation of this mod, four really if you count Sal, who made the first 1927 mod. Redeck and Dennis James created this mod and Jim825, who made the installer for it. If you happen to try this mod out and you enjoy it, a kind word of thanks should go out to all of these guys for their hard work on this. Now, on to the mod itself. You may ask yourself why you should get this mod since you already have the 1927 mod which was released in December of 2009? As explained in the mod description, redeck and Dennis James picked out fifty of the best Negro League players during this time period and randomly placed them on the sixteen teams in the American and National League. Now, I did not ask them why they put one guy on one team and a different guy on another team. That was entirely up to them. I did look at the rosters and the Negro League players are pretty well spread out. One thing I did notice is that the Negro League players did help the teams that they were on, especially the bad teams during the 1927 season. This is why I picked the '27 Red Sox to use in this game because they were dead last in the A.L that year (51-103) and the Negro League players from that era assigned to Boston made them a little better. And that right there is what this mod is about. Giving you an example of how things could have been had baseball allowed black players in during the 1920's instead of waiting until 1947. Another first for this mod is that it is a direct takeoff of a mod that has already been released on this website. Every time a new Total Classics season has been released, it has been a different year. Now fans of this classic series of mods have two ways to play the 1927 season. The way it really was or as Redeck and Dennis James so aptly put it: "had all things been equal." Screenshots Things look a little different already in Total Classics 1927, Integrated version. Starting pitcher for the Browns, William Bell, Sr. Bell showed he could cover his position well. This play was ruled a single as the ball bounces away from the Sox thirdbaseman as William Bell, Sr scampers back to second. This throwing error by the Red Sox second baseman lead to St. Louis' first run. Red Sox pitcher Hal Wiltse doubles off the right field wall... ...as Alejandro Ohms bobbles it momentarily. Browns manager Dan Howley argues in vain as Alejandro Ohms (not pictured) is called out on a close play at first base.
  21. Salva the great!!!

  22. Nothing that happens down there to Hector surprises me anymore. This could not happen to a better guy! I am really happy for you man and I'm glad you had an experience of a lifetime. :)
