  1. And by the way let's take time out to salute Nestor Cortes, who is quietly having a very good year. It's very easy to see the ones on this team who are having a lousy year but this guy deserves the right recognition.
  2. Yes, at least four. But there is plenty of blame to be thrown around for the position that they are in.
  3. I asked myself that this morning. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they won but they just made it last night. When the Orioles play the Yankees they play like they are contenders.
  4. Ryan Braun retired yesterday. Damn, I thought he already did that.
  5. What the heck has happened to the Padres? When the season started they were supposed to compete for the National League's top spot. Now they may not make the playoffs. Also, why do some ball players do this when they are rounding the bases after a home run? And don't say to silence the crowd because this goof did it in Toronto.
  6. What the hell just happened? They won!!! You are going back a few years.
  7. Maybe so! Now come to this thread here from now on to talk about Yankee stuff. In it we can: 1. Call for Sanchez' head on a plate. 2. Scream at Chapman. 3. Be amazed when someone doesn't get hurt. And mostly be very happy if and when they turn things around.
  8. A minor move has been made today where the Yankees discussion from this thread right here will now be conducted here. While this may be an "official" thread so to speak, any fan of any team can come in and say what is on their mind at any time. Well, that's that. Here we go.
  9. Moving on.... 1. Aaron Judge was removed from the game in the third inning because he was dizzy. Yeah, ok. Go sit on the bench next to Clint Frazier. 2. Luis Severino is scheduled to throw another bullpen session Monday. If all goes well, he could throw next in a live bullpen session or begin another rehab assignment. Why? We are getting into mid-September now. Send the SOB home. 3. Andrew Velazquez was sent back to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He was showing too much enthusiasm for this team and he had to go.
  10. This is the second time you've said this in a matter of days and it's obvious that you are just coming in here just to see how much you can stir things up. People used to gripe about the "Yankee complaining" in the shout box so because of that we had to move it in here so a lot of people would not see it. I'm not saying you were one of the ones who complained about it there and I am sure you weren't. But you sure as hell have made up for it here. What I am trying to say is who comes in here to talk baseball? Just glance over the past few pages in the thread. There is not an overflow of people that come here to talk about the games. But yet you got to give those a hard time who want to talk about baseball and if it is concerning the shoddy way the Yankees are playing then that is how it is. From now on the next time you step in to see if anything's changed and it has not then just leave. Your sarcastic and passive aggressive comments are not needed or welcomed.
  11. 22 runs the Blue Jays scored today. It will take the Yankees six games to score that many.
  12. I got to thinking about that and it wouldn't work. These spineless crybabies will never play for Martin. Good win tonight. Chapman almost lost it and if Sanchez was catching the Mets would have won. In other news general manager Bryce Harper designated RHP Vince Velasquez for assignment. The only reason why I bring this up is I hope Cashman does not go after him. It's all we need right now.
  13. How many more ways will MLB suck up to Shohei Ohtani???
  14. I saw that play in the first inning and after that I knew they were going to lose. Just a feeling I had. Can you imagine Sanchez playing for someone like Billy Martin? Holy sh**!! He'd of beaten up and benched this moron months ago. You may as well not say slip, sliding away anymore. They've already slipped and they've slid away. They deserve all the scorn and ridicule that will be hurled on them. I have honestly had it.
  15. What's today's excuse and more importantly who is going to get hurt today?
  16. Oh no!!!!!! Whatever will we do now?
  17. Chris Sale has Covid. I don't wish this on anyone but it is odd to see someone else that does not play for the Yankees get Covid. I even hope this prick gets better soon.
  18. “I have a ton of confidence in that group in there and understand it’s been bad this week,” Boone said. “But we’ve got a great opportunity in front of us.” -Yankee Manager Aaron Boone. I had no idea he was going into stand-up comedy.
  19. Jameson Taillon was placed on the 10-day injured list with a partially torn tendon in his right ankle. And that my friends is that.
  20. Ok Jim, never mind what he said for a minute. Did any of my post make sense to you? The similarities to last year are too much. They will straighten out again only to have another bad streak.
  21. You described them very well but people are not going to take you seriously and they are not going to take me seriously because the both of us have been angry at this team since a little after opening day. They underachieve, they don't hit, they don't pitch well, they suck at running the bases and their defense needs improving. Other than that they are fine. The only thing that this group of losers knows how to do very well is get hurt. Now I know I have said a thousand times I don't care anymore and I'm done with this team but the truth is that I do care and I will never be done with this team no matter how lousy they play. I'm just frustrated and upset because I'm seeing the same thing over and over again. What did they do last year? They won ten in a row and they made everybody think that they were beginning to play good solid baseball. And then right after that winning streak they fell apart. And damned if the same thing happened again this year. Thirteen wins in a row seems like ages ago because now they have lost nine of their past eleven games and they have looked terrible in every single one of them. As I said, the best thing for this group of overpaid losers is a hard dose of reality where they do not make the playoffs and they have to go home wondering about their jobs. Well, to hell with them. I brought up Severino before and it bears repeating. This guy has not played all year and I am convinced that he does not want to play. The Yankees should send him home today with the instructions that he plays winter ball just so he knows what real life competition is again. And then if he had so much as a headache this winter they should trade him to anyone stupid enough to take him. Is there talent on this team? Of course there is but is overshadowed by lousy play, bad hitting and pitching, a ready-made bunch of excuses, the manager who seems to be afraid of calling out anyone on this team and the propensity to lead all of major league baseball in injuries year after year. They do not play as a team. Look at the Giants and see what they did last year compared to right now. They did not make the playoffs in 2020 but right now they are one of the best teams in all of baseball. The Giants have been doing it all year and the Yankees have only done it for thirteen games.
  22. I know, I know. And it is sad to say that the best thing to happen to this team is that if they don't make the playoffs because they have a lot of -pardon the analogy- a lot of garbage to get rid of. Torres, Frazier, Gardner, Heaney and Sanchez immediately come to mind. Also do you realize that there are only twenty-five or so games left and Luis Severino has not thrown ONE PITCH for the team this year? People used to give Carl Pavano hell for not playing. Severino is doing the same thing but he gets a pass. Not with me. He's a lazy, worthless piece of crap that needs to be dealt away too. **** HIM.
  23. This team is snakebitten. Simple as that. Why couldn't it have been a useless sack of %^&$ like Chapman?
  24. You got to admit the guy has a point here.
