This is a Yankee Stadium mod for High Heat Baseball 2004. It has both the day and night versions of the ball park. Excerpts from the readme file: Thank you for downloading Jdurg's Yankee Stadium 2. This .zip file contains an updated night and day version of Yankee Stadium. I think they are a vast improvement over the standard stadia and really help bring the game to life. When doing the mods, I noticed a few strange things. First of all, many textures aren't used in the day game that are used in the night game resulting in transparent areas. This can be seen on the far upper facade in right field and swinging all the way around the left. This is something I noticed in the standard stadia and is most likely due to forgetfulness by the original designers. These "invisibles" occur in other parts as well, but the upper deck facade is the most noticeable. The second thing is that ads aren't used the same way in the night and day versions. The ads are much better used in the day version which make me wonder why the same wasn't done in the night version. A REALLY dedicated modder may decide to go and convert the day stadium into a night stadium as well by swapping the texture files to see what they come up with. It may be worth a shot but I think the night stadium provided in this .zip file is pretty darn good. ;-) Directions: 1) Unzip into the HH2k4/Art/Stadiums/Yankee/ folder. 2) When it asks you if you want to overwrite the existing files, click 'Yes.' 3) Play the game and enjoy the modded stadiums.

  5. This week's trip to the download section honoring the people who have contributed so much to our website features another person in the long line of modders who have done incredible work creating uniforms for Mvp baseball 2005 and a modder who seemed to have a much fun creating his mod write-ups as he did creating the mod itself. BallFour For someone who has only been a member a little over three years now, BallFour has quickly made a name for himself with his throwback uniforms and the major and minor league uniforms he has uploaded during this time. He has constantly watched over his uniform releases and consistently updated them when any kind of change to them needed to be put in. His attention to every detail in the uniform is similar to uniform modders who came before him such as KcCitystar, Moser316 and DennisJames71, just to name three. This very versatile modder has multiple pages of downloads that have mostly uniforms to choose from although he has made cyberfaces, stadiums and logo sets. Total Uniforms '18 version 9.0.0 2018 Iowa Cubs 2018 Manager's Cyberface pack version 3.0.0 2017 Complete Logo Set This mod will update the logo files and the affiliations files in MVP Baseball 2005. Other eras are available. Misopogon Misopogen was a 2k uniform and portrait maker and roster creator who made mods for MLB2k12 and 2k10. His roster series for 2k10 was highly popular and was downloaded thousands of times. But as well done as his mods were for both games his file descriptions for them were just as good and highly entertaining. They had a combination of what the mod was about combined with a dash of history and a whole lot of humor. What other mod would have geflite fish in it? And if you have no idea what that is read it for yourself. I promise you that you'll laugh when you find out. 6. Luke Appling Luke Appling had the misfortune of playing for the White Sox during some of their leanest years. A decade before his arrival, the franchise had been devastated by the Black Sox scandal, when eight players conspired to fix the 1919 World Series and were banned from baseball, and the team did not compete again until the 1950s. Appling, a happy-go-lucky man and a notorious hypochondriac, was one of the Sox' few bright lights. He never got to play in a World Series, as his career was ending just as the team embarked on a period of competitiveness highlighted by their 1959 pennant. At a time when America, along with the rest of the world, was struggling to cope with the worst depression in its history and the ominous rise of fascism in Europe, baseball provided some diversion from dark times. Appling started his major league career in 1930, just about the beginning of the Depression. The best word to describe Luke Appling is durability, a quality he showed throughout his baseball career and his life. He was emblematic of an America struggling through the Depression and digging into their psyches (perhaps unknowingly) to prepare for another world war. Appling endured and so did America. "Old Aches and Pains," as Appling was called, was arguably the greatest hypochondriac to ever play the game. Backaches, headaches, bad knees, eye problems would torment him-and then he'd go out and get three hits. Lucious Benjamin Appling, born in High Pont, North Carolina, on April 2, 1907, was clearly no slouch when he took the field. All of his medical complaints disappeared when game time came. He was so infirm that he managed to collect only 2,749 hits in a career that spanned twenty years, all with the Chicago White Sox. Appling never let a backache or headache get in the way of playing shortstop and getting in his licks as a hitter. He even complained about field conditions at Comiskey Park. "I swear that park must have been built on a junkyard," he exclaimed. It turned out later he was right. The apex of his career came in 1936. He won the American League batting title with a .388 batting average, the highest in the twentieth century by a shortstop. Luke also had a 27-game hitting streak that year. After winning the batting title, Appling was promised a $5,000 bonus, but General Manager Harry Grabiner reneged. In disgust Appling tore up his 1937 contract. Lou Comiskey, the owner, withstood Appling's protests, and when Appling cooled down and was ready to play gave him a new contract. Unfortunately, it was for $2,500 less than he had wanted. In 1940 Appling, Rip Radcliff of the St. Louis Browns and Joe DiMaggio of the Yankees battled each other for the batting title with DiMaggio winning out. The White Sox contended only once during Appling's tenure at short. They lacked power, so Appling, a natural leadoff hitter, batted third in the lineup. Never a slugger, he did manage to drive in 1,117 runs during his career. Appling remembered that his teammates were not great baserunners. Player-manager Jimmy Dykes instituted an automatic fine for any baserunning blunders The very next day Dykes was on second base when he became lost in thoughts about his managerial duties. He wandered off second base, wondering whether he should hit for the pitcher, and in a flash he was picked off. The players on the bench howled with delight and had some uncomplimentary words about the gaffe. When Dykes sheepishly returned to the bench he said, "All right say it, come on, I've got it coming," but no one said a word. Later he asked Appling why they didn't say anything. Appling replied, "They already said it before you got back to the dugout." Championships eluded the White Sox and the Cubs year after year. Ironically, the two greatest players in Chicago, Luke Appling and Ernie Banks, both shortstops, never played in a World Series. Appling was a pitcher's nightmare. He could and would foul off pitch after pitch until he got the one he wanted. Pitchers would get so frustrated they'd almost dare him to hit the blasted thing. Appling struck out only 528 times in his career and coaxed out 1,302 walks. As one story goes, Appling once asked the tight-fisted business manager of the Sox for several balls to sign for friends. The business manager refused, citing the Depression and that each ball cost $2.75. Appling turned and walked out without a word. That afternoon in his first at bat he fouled off ten consecutive pitches into the stands. Turning to the club official in the owner's box, he said, "That's $27.50 and I'm just getting started." Despite all his alleged ailments Appling was a good-natured person and popular with his teammates. The only White Sox player to win a batting championship until Frank Thomas, he was also voted the greatest White Sox living player by Chicago writers in 1969. Appling entered the service in 1944 and returned to baseball late in 1945. At the time Appling entered the service his wife said, "The war will be over soon. Luke has never held a job for more than two weeks outside of baseball." His hitting did not suffer when he returned in 1945. He batted .368 in his shortened season. Appling managed in the minors for quite a few years, winning pennants for Memphis in the Southern Association and Indianapolis of the American Association. Named Minor League Manager of the Year in 1952, he still had only one chance managing in the majors, at Kansas City replacing Alvin Dark. He was not very successful as his team went 10-30 during his tenure. He also managed at Richmond and coached in the majors at Detroit, Cleveland, Baltimore, and Kansas City. He served as batting instructor for the Braves until 1990.
Well, the logos look very good but I do have one question about how you say they should be used. It will overwrite two logos in a default install of Mvp baseball. Now usually when someone has a default install of Mvp they are going to use that to install a total classics mod or season mod. The default version of the game is very dated although if someone still wants to use that to play games in it's fine. That is why I was wondering why these two files were for that. Thank you for your work as always.
  7. If anyone was reading this thread last week you would have noticed that the modders of the week topic was going to be revived again to add some more modders that I have felt needed to be on this list in the beginning or who have become modders after this this thread was last added and whose contributions merit recognition. If you are not sure what this thread is about I encourage you to read it. It's only three pages long and if you do you will see names of people that you know and that you've never heard of. Their work you may be familiar with but not the person responsible for it. I had two goals when I started this thread. To show appreciation to the people here for all their work along with thanking them one more time. Also, it was my way of inspiring people to check out the download section for themselves to see what there is that would interest them. There are over 8,500 mods on this website and only the newest ones are on the front page. Whether you are a fan of Mvp '04 or '05, the 2k series or High Heat, I can promise you there is something in the download section that is just for you that you are currently not aware of. Anyway, this is why I began this thread. And to celebrate this I am featuring two modders that are as well-known over at Mvp Caribe as they are here at this website. Jed Cyberfaces are a very difficult thing to do because if you release one that looks nothing like the player at all you are going to hear about it. Not the case with Jed. Like Jogar84, Homer and Veesmack before him (just to name three) Jed has consistently produced cyberfaces that have routinely drawn praises from everyone -both Mvp and 2k users- who have downloaded his work or previewed them in his thread before they were ready for download. He has ten pages of submissions here at Mvpmods and just looking at any one of them you can tell that he is one of the best cybermakers around. Paul Goldschmidt Cyberface (2k12) Madison Bumgarner Cyberface (2k12) Bryce Harper Cyberface (2k12) New Year's Cyberface release of Manny Machado and Noah Syndergaard (2k12) 10 Cyberfaces released after the 2015 mod (Mvp 2005) 35 Cyberfaces released after the 2015 mod (Mvp 2005) Jeferomer Jeferomer is the second modder this week who originally came from the Mvp Caribe website. Like Jed he has created some quality cyberfaces but in turn he also has made overlays, uniforms and portraits. His work here has constantly been impressive but you shouldn't take my word for that. He has five pages full of downloads and if you check them out you'll see that I wasn't overemphasizing. His work with his team facepacks on the Mvp 2015 10th anniversary mod helped make that mod one of the most popular total conversion mods here. Mvp 18 Facepack (a total of five facepacks are available for download) Babe Ruth Cyberface. 2017 Arizona Diamondbacks uniforms (Mvp) Umpire Uniforms (Mvp) Chicago White Sox Facepack for the Mvp 15 mod (many other teams available.) Generic Overlay 2k12.
  8. You got it Hackerman! (whomever he is.)
  9. The links DID work years ago. You are posting a question in a three year old thread.
Great mod. I love everything about it. How I feel about it in more detail can be found right here.
  10. With the exception of the first ten years of the twentieth century, the Total Classics team have covered every decade of the last century apart from the 1930's. Last year's Total Classics 1934 welcomed the depression-era decade into the group of total conversion mods. Last week thanks to Jim825, DennisJames71 and Kyleb they released the latest edition of the Total Classics family, Total Classics 1939. When you go to the download page to get this mod you'll read a brief history of the 1939 season. It was a pivotal year for baseball. One Yankee leaving the game under mysterious circumstances (Lou Gehrig) and another one emerging as a star in his own right (Joe Dimaggio.) Hall of Famers Lou Boudreau and Ted Williams were rookies in 1939 and Hall of Famers Tony Lazzeri and Heinie Manush both retired after the 1939 season. But most of all this season was about a man who only played in eight games that year and hit .143. Sick as he was, somehow Lou Gehrig still managed to knock out four hits before benching himself in Detroit on May 2nd, 1939. He would never play again. Gehrig was such a special player that in that same year he was elected to Baseball's Hall of Fame in a special election. So with a little more history about the 1939 mod to think about it's now time to get into the mod to see what it's about. Installing these mods are exceedingly user friendly. If only all installations for every computer program would be so easy we would all be better off. For novices who are new to Total Classics, you will need a clean (unmodded) copy of Mvp 2005 on your hard drive. Unzip the mod and run the explodeme.exe file and point it in the direction of the unmodded copy of Mvp '05. Then sit back and let the installer do what it needs to do. The familiar team of Jim and Dennis did their usual fine work on this mod but this time they were assisted by Kyleb. Kyleb's impressive resume includes the 1995 and 1997 Total Classics mods as well as being the head modder for the Mvp 2012 and 2013 season mods. While always in the background the jukebox music always has your attention and that doesn't matter what mod you are playing. The selections here have a bluesy and big band sound which was of course indicative of the period. Four of the selections are from Artie Shaw, a popular band leader and clarinetist of the time. Everything in this mod is above scale. The uniforms look wonderful and I have to say that the research done to acquire the correct stadium select screens have to be commended because I have looked for some of these myself on my own and they are hard to find. Nothing about this mod like the player portraits, cyberfaces, team logos, TC 39 overlay, etc are lacking in anything. It is one of the best mods around and that is saying a lot compared to the other great ones that have come before it. This mod has been out a week but I have been so busy playing games in it that I have not done a write up until now. I chose the Philadelphia Athletics to play against the White Sox in Chicago. The combination of the wind blowing out, good hitters on both teams and two struggling pitchers (Nelson Potter for Philadelphia; 8-12 with a 6.60 ERA in '1939 and Thornton Lee, who was 15-11 with a 4.21 ERA in '39) was a recipe for a slugfest. And that is exactly what happened as Chicago came back to win the game in the bottom of the tenth. I have a habit of saying that such-and-such a mod is one of the best around. It may seem repetitive but all of these mods have a few things going for it that you will find in every one of them and that is attention to detail. That alone makes the Total Classics series stand out above anything. Download Total Classics 1939 today! Thank you to all of the modders who were a part of making this mod so good beginning with Jim, Dennis and Kyleb. Video File. Luke Appling hits a bases loaded triple in the fifth inning. 12. Updated to 2-4 ...Even though Super Bowl LII features the two worst sports cities in America -more on that in a minute- tonight's game has a few positive things going for it. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. eastern time and that should give everyone plenty of time to sneak a nice long nap in before you have to look at Tom Brady's face for four hours. You'll also have more than enough time to take a trip to the grocery store to pick up ingredients for a homemade pizza since it's going to be all hands on deck for the pizza shops because everyone is going to have the bright idea of ordering a sheet pizza and if you order it before the game starts you'll have a good chance of getting it by halftime. Finally, the game is on NBC and that means no Joe Buck. His father Jack Buck got all the talent in the family and when poor Joe came around there was none left for him. Which brings us to the game. Boston's Patriots vs. Philadelphia's Eagles in the battle of the obnoxious fans and the championship of the National Football League. I think I'd have more fun watching my car get an oil change. It is almost fitting this game is being played in Minneapolis, a city known for nothing worthwhile unless you take pride in bitter cold temperatures. As much as I dislike Philadelphia there is no way I can root for Boston. My reasoning is if the Eagles win or lose their fans are going to tear up Philadelphia anyway and then after a few million dollars worth of damage they will get it out of their system. Not Boston. They'll show Philly they can start fires and break windows with the best of them but when they're done they'll be bragging about their win all the way up to week one of the 2018 NFL season. So, go Eagles. ...A windbag group called the Fritz Pollard Alliance complained that the Oakland Raiders did not follow the Rooney Rule when they hired Jon Gruden. It basically means that a team that is looking to hire a head coach must consider at least one minority candidate before offering the job to someone. I don't believe in that rule because I think you should hire the best coach possible. I don't recall complaints from anyone when men like Art Shell, Hue Jackson, Marvin Lewis or Mike Tomlin to name a few were hired. So why make a big deal when a minority is not hired? It just makes what they stand for look ridiculous. ...Right now the country of Mexico must be sitting back smiling and saying "I told you we weren't going to pay for that wall." ...This bit of news should make anyone who is as tired of winter as I am feel a little bit better. In exactly eight days on Monday the 12th, the pitchers and catchers for the Mets and Pirates report to spring training. Most teams report on the 13th while a few stragglers open up on the 14th. That right there should give every baseball fan something to look forward to. And if you are one of the impatient ones just consider this for a moment: Opening Day has been moved up to late March-Thursday, March 29, to be exact-making it the earliest season opener in baseball history (leaving aside seasons with international openers in Japan or Australia). And if you're wondering when opening day is for your favorite squad the answer is also March 29th. That's because every major league team opens up on the same day this year. Here we go! ...About two weeks ago I read a story about a twelve-year-old girl named Gabriella Green who lived in Panama City Beach, Florida. This girl was cyber bullied and harassed so much that she committed suicide and hung herself in her closet with a dog leash. Two children were arrested for the cyberbullying that lead to this little girl's death and some of the things they told this girl was not pretty. They found out that one of the suspects had started rumors about Green in person, and online. The rumors were that Green had sexually transmitted diseases and she constantly called her vulgar names and then threatened to 'expose' personal and sensitive details her life. Text messages, phone calls and in-your-face confrontations slowly built up around this girl that made her think that the only way out was to take her life. Again, she was only twelve. So were the kids that were arrested. They'll get off if they cry and say they were sorry when their lawyers tell them too but then again that may prove to be tough because the girl's family has hired Jose Baez to represent them ahead of a possible civil suit. Baez is the same guy who defended Casey Anthony and Aaron Hernandez. This will be the first case that I hope this guy wins. Nearly 43% of kids have been cyber bullied. Why so much? Because I believe that kids know how to be sneaky. I say this because the girl's mother said while the arrests "were gratifying," she blames parents and the school system. Maybe. But if these kids have their heart set on going after someone and giving them hell nothing is going to stop them. And nothing did. I hope these two kids pay dearly. ...The line forms to the left, Dept: It seems that every day there is another woman who comes forward accusing a celebrity of some kind of sexual harassment or misconduct. While I believe that some of these stories may be true I don't consider that they all are and that right there is the root of the entire problem. We just don't know which ones to give credence to. If you will, look at it like this. Of all the times you have seen or read the news have you always accepted everything you have just learned without question? Not a lot I'd say. No one does because mistakes are made and stories change all the time. So why take all these women at their word when they come out in front of the cameras with a tissue in their hand crying about something that happened decades ago? That's what happened to actor Michael Douglas when he was informed in late December of last year that a woman who worked for him all those years ago has come forward and accused him of using colorful language in front of her and masturbating in front of her. To his credit Douglas did not hide from reporters when he was asked about this because he had nothing to hide. That's all well and good but as soon as a woman opens her mouth to accuse you of something like this you're guilty in many people's minds, damned the facts as they may be. Over thirty years and this woman doesn't say one word about this but as soon as she sees others come forward getting their fifteen minutes of self pity with the spotlight on them she couldn't start talking fast enough. This is the reason why I don't believe everything about Bill Cosby. From as far back as the 1960's women who have know Cosby have accused him of just about anything inappropriate you can think of. Why now and why all of them at once? Why wait all this time and not report a crime like this after it happens if indeed it did happen? And I'm not talking about doctor Larry Nassar here. He's had his day in court and it was proven that he did molest all those female Olympic athletes. A lot of what is facing these men as they go forward are nothing but accusations and slander. I only bring up Cosby because his story has been out there longer than the others and accountable or not his career is done. No networks, no advertisers, no one wants to collaborate with him and it is all because he might have done it. That's what many of these actors, athletes and public figures are now facing. Someone said you did it so that means you did. End of story. All of this reminds me of an article I once read about Wayne Gretzky. One of his close friends was being interviewed about him and he said that Gretzky will not allow himself to be in a room with a woman without someone else there and he won't even get in an elevator with a woman alone without having someone else with him. As I read this many years ago my first thought was that he was being overly cautious. But not now. It seems that Gretzky was on to something. ...Last Thursday a twelve-year-old girl brought a loaded semiautomatic handgun into her middle school that she claims she thought was a fake gun. This fake gun had real bullets in it and it ended up injuring five people, including one boy who was shot in the temple by one of them. Luckily for him he is expected to make a full recovery, which is a miracle. What's even more of a miracle is that the police believe this all was an accident. Really? How? In what way? Schools are super-sensitive these days about any kind of violence both real and perceived so taking that into consideration how does anyone "accidentally" bring a gun to school even if they believed it to be a fake one? And how do you accidentally shoot four times at four different kids? At least the police did one thing right. They arrested her and brought her to the L.A. County Central Juvenile Hall for the negligent discharge of a firearm and is being held without bail. Of course, considering it was an accident she's probably already home by now. ...Last week a new reality show premiered on the Fusion Network called Big Papi needs a job. Now that he's retired from baseball David Ortiz needs to get a new job because having tens of millions of dollars in the bank just does not go as far as it used to. As I said it's on the Fusion Network but I'll be damned if I can find that anywhere on my Playstation Vue account. Up to a couple of days ago I never even heard of it. But since Ortiz is intent on finding gainful employment I thought I'd help him out with these suggestions so that maybe he can begin to receive a regular paycheck again. 1. He can get a job at the Everglades Alligator farm down in Florida. They have over 2,000 alligators there and he can be in charge of feeding every one of them as he goes out on the water with his motorboat so he can feed them as fast as he can before the food or the gas runs out. 2. Police academies are hiring people for top dollar as test subjects to teach the new recruits the differences between a stun gun and a taser when used on a live subject. Four or five times being jolted by these things Ortiz can clear five grand easy. 3. The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus may be gone now but clowns are still in high demand in bull riding competitions in rodeos across the country. Papi can dress as a clown and run out there to protect the riders when they are thrown from the bull. These clowns must have speed and agility and Ortiz has neither of these qualities. But at least he's a clown. 4. He can get a job at the San Diego Zoo picking up after animals like the elephants, zebras and lions after they answer the call of nature. This zoo is one of the best ones in the United States and is well known for its 3,700 animals of more than 650 species and subspecies. So with all those animals around his shovel will always be moving. This job may be perfect for him. For his entire career all this guy did was talk shit. Now he'll get to pick it up.
  13. Thank you, thank you and thank you again!
  14. Do you mean 2018 Oklahoma City Dodgers here?
I am giving this five stars because it's a great looking uniform. But damn, the Bills in the playoffs and Oakland isn't? Doesn't seem right.
  15. This mod got me curious to see what other stuff that's in there was put in without asking. Do you recall the 2017 mod that was posted here not too long ago where you had to download it in ten different parts? That's what this one is but now there's only one download to use. Waste of time.
  16. Then why did you post it here? This is an English-speaking website (and by the way I have forgotten how many times I have typed those words in here) and this mod is entirely in Spanish. Even the description of the mod. You also used the BaseUp! Rosters by Gordo without his permission. There's a good chance he would have said yes if you just asked him but you didn't. Thanks but no thanks. I'll pass on this mod.
  17. Now that is a different story! You threw me for a loop when I saw him in a Colorado uniform. I said to myself how did I miss the news that he signed with the Rockies? Good work on the cyberface.
  18. What the hell? He hasn't even signed yet. What makes you think he is going to Colorado?
  19. Exactly what I said. This made no sense to me either. Should be a good game. They won big yesterday against the Rams.
  20. This is news to me. I can't see what the issue is by saying to someone 'sir' or 'ma'am.' Good luck with that being followed.
