What I feared most...the tech shook his head...the motherboard's toast..my 'puter is dead!

Going to replace the power supply on my p.c. and get a true surge protector, not just a power strip. Hope this works!

Due to the local utility's annoying power outages and spikes, my pc is on the disabled list. Will post when we're back in the game. :(
