D.M.Z.s MVP 2005 Prospect Roster *Please Do Not Edit and Upload These Rosters To Any Site Without Permission. *This roster is a beta version, 272 players still need to be created and are currently named (fake, fake). The roster was released early to determine interest. ID #s will follow Tony3s spreadsheet and Horys player ID thread as players are created. Version 0.8 This roster contains the following: *Updated Major League Roster using Patch 3. Transactions and Jersey #s. NOTE: EA created players have not been edited in any other way. *Players on 15 day DL on still on Major League roster. Those on 60 day DL are on AAA roster or in some cases AA roster. *Career/Year by Year statistics added through Lahman Database with MVP Edit for players with previous MLB experience. *Lineups and pitching rotations were determined from cbssportsline.com. *All Star rosters updated to reflect 2005 roster. Thanks Krawhitham for the FAQ. *All prospects in the Baseball America Prospect Handbook, 900 total, are included in the roster. Editing reflects the profiles of each player. EX: pitch types, ratings etc. *All players included that played in the World Futures Game. *Nearly all the players whose hidden audio IDs that were determined earlier in the year are included. An Excel spreadsheet containing the players IDs with associated team is included in the download. *Photos were examined for nearly all players to reflect their appearances. Sources used were minorleaguebaseball.com, mlb.com, google searches and ebay (baseball cards). *Photo IDs follow Tony3s Spreadsheet and Horys player ID thread in MVP MODS forum. *NOTE* This roster uses default face IDs numbers and is not compatible with any model big file that contains updated/created faces. ID face numbers will have to be changed in MVP EDIT or another program to use updated/created faces. Roster Updated through 7/13/05 File Types in this download There are Three types of files that are associated with the Prospect Roster: The MBE file is for use with the utility MVP Edit. The DAT files can be extracted and will overwrite current default roster. The SAV file is available for those not willing to change their default roster. See the readme file for installation instructions. *Although I have had no problems, to cover myself, I accept no responsibility for problems that may occur with use of file. *Be Sure to back-up original files. Special Thanks *to Trues and his MVP Mods website and to RGlass for his editor, Tony3 and Hory for their ID work and to Krawhitham for the All Star FAQ. -

D.M.Z.s MVP 2005 Roster Template (MBE and DAT files) This roster template is intended for anyone interested in developing their own DAT roster file. Feel free to edit anything on this roster, update it as much as desired and upload it to various websites. All I ask is that if anyone uses this roster, make reference that this is the template used to begin the project. In other words, please give me credit, for it took nearly 50+ hours to research transactions, find missing players from the patch 4 roster, edit season and career statistics and fake names as well as setting up the organizations, pitching rotations, lineups, jersey numbers etc. All roster information was accumulated from mlb.com or cbs.sportsline.com. The following is what was done to the 2005 default roster. Happy Modding. D.M.Z. version 1.3 -updated player transactions to 3/23/05. Corrected minor errors such as Jamie Walker spelled incorrectly and updated changed jersey numbers.. -corrected birthdays for all players that were changed when imported from the 2004 patch roster. All should be accurate. -added all career stats(year by year) for all of the 2004 imported players and non-MLBPA players using mvpedit4.sm. (files now contains hist.dat file). -followed projections from mlb.com for pitching rotations and charts. Followed cbs.sportsline.com for current projected lineups. -edited player id numbers to correspond with 2005 Rookie Audio ID spreadsheet. Players without an actual id assigned by EA have been given the suggested ids from Horys player id thread at mvpmods.com (MVP 2005 Announcements forum.) version 1.2 -changed faces, skin tone, hair style and facial hair for the following players: Brendan Donnelly, Tom Martin, Kevin Millar, Brian Daubach, Damian Miller, Jose Flores, Matt Herges, Cory Lidle, Shane Spencer, Kerry Ligtenberg, Justin Miller, Lou Merloni, Ron Mahay, Charles Gipson, Eddie Oropesa. thanks pstrickert added Matt Miller to Cleveland AAA from Free Agents and Marty Cordova to Tampa Bay from Free Agents. version 1.1 -changed all imported 2004 players faces because the 2004 faces do not exist or were completely wrong. thanks krawhitham version 1.0 -Imported all 240 players from the 2004 MVP Baseball patch 4 that were missing on the 2005 default rosters, including retired/japan players. (Nearly all 240 players portraits that were hidden in the portrait big file, now appear in the game.) -Updated 2004 statistics for missing imported players who played in the majors in 2004. -Set 2003 statistics for the imported players to 0 values for those that didn't play on the majors in 2004. -Kept the career stats for all of the 240 imported players. -Renamed all non-MLBPA pseudo names to real names. (Added 2004 season statistics to each of the players). -Renamed all Baseball America top prospects pseudo names to their real names. (I used Horys i.d. list for these players, all other i.d.s were assigned by E.A.) -All remaining fake players were renamed as 'fake, fake' for organizational purposes and their jersey numbers changed to 0. -Every player on this roster has been created by EA. I did not create a single player for the template. (that is where you come in). -No players from the default 2005 roster or the imported players from the 2004 patch were edited except Ivan "pudge" Rodriguez weight. -All 40 man roster players and spring training invitees have updated jersey numbers. -MLB level has only players from current 40 man rosters. AAA level contains additional 40 man roster players as well as most spring training invitees. -A few players (primarily younger players) were moved to AA to compensate for over-filled AAA rosters. -projected mlb lineups from cbs.sportsline.com. -Roster current as of March 2, 2005. -No Errors appear when clicking on options in MVP Edit under check errors. -Fake players that appear on the free agent list substitute for unlocked legends in the game. (These fake players show in the game but not in mvp edit. MVP edit shows the 11 legends that EA put on the Free Agent list). Once the legends are unlocked, they will appear instead of the fake players. (11 players total) Installation The MBE File: -Just extract the mbe file into the mvp edit directory and open the file in mvp edit. When exporting the roster to the game from mvp edit, make sure the DAT directory is Mvp Baseball 2005/Data/database. The DAT Files: -Extract the files into C/program files/EA Sports/MVP Baseball/data/database -Although I have had no problems, to cover myself, I accept no responsibility for problems that may occur with use of file. Special Thanks -to Trues and his MVP Mods website and to RGlass for his editor. -
