err.. once u clicked the small version of the design you want, you keep clicking til it gets big. It will ask you to click again if you want the full size one.

The Background comes from deviantart.com and you search for "abstract" NOTICE! Make sure its under resources because if it doesn't, its ripping. This is from Dan's thread bout sig tips.

Erm. I don't know if this is a good way to do it but I make a new layer and pain the whole thing black. use the Opacity and lower it so it does cover up the whole screen. Then merge the dark layer with the picture so you don't see it stickin out.

Not too shabby. I think Penny should of been the main part of the sig rather than the stadium. Also, try using special effects on Penny would improve it.

the erasier. Adjust the size to the situation. Like if its a small area, adjust the size of the erasier so you don't get part of something that's part of the player.

ya or you can select the part you want to be duplicated and just Copy and paste.

Ok. There might be a few tutorials around but Im not sure if they tell you have to blend 2 pictures into 1. For me I cropped the part where the two pictures merged. Then, You go find motion blur and blur it to your likings. If it doesn't look merged enough, crop a bigger part of the picture with the merging line and do it again til you find the one you like.

Are you using any programs? Im used Photoshop for the edit I did with your picture.
