Here is my 1971-72 Yankees Flannel Uniforms. The original home jersey was made by Wilson during 1971-72 which had thinner block numbers than the 1970 Spalding ones. The road jersey was made by Spalding which used block numbers as Bobby Murcer's show. It also had a more slight bluish-gray hue than the 1970 uniform (Wilson) as per Steve Kline's photo (shorter hair) which also used what I call the Yankees Varsity Variant font as pictured above. The 1970 Yankees also had about the same brownish-gray color hue as the 1960's Tigers. The 1971 Thurman Munson jersey (above) had transparent plastic buttons and tried (?) to portray that in mine. I'm just NOT really educated in Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop to do the best with that but I tried to get the same look. To install, just copy a zip file into the MVP Baseball 2005 home folder and use Total Installer Thingy to put it into the game. If you have any questions, let me know! The zip files will be placed into "a & b" uniform slots. Enjoy! Eskie01

Here is my 1970-71 Baltimore Orioles Flannel Uniforms. I got my uniform emblems and logos from auction sites from original garments. Besides 1970, the Orioles alternated the home flannel uniform with their newly received polyester one until the All-Star break, which from then on they wore their polyester home. The road flannel lasted a little longer...they wore it until the 1971 postseason when they got a new polyester one. It lasted for 4 games...1 in Oakland in the ALCS and the 3 games in Pittsburgh in the 1971 Fall Classic. They then got ANOTHER one before the 1972 season! I was talking to a guy and he said that their uniform designer must've been as fickle as some women...LOL. The home one was made by Wilson and the road by Spalding, hence the different number font. The front emblem of the home was slightly different from its polyester which was manufactured by Rawlings. To install just copy a zip file to the MVP Baseball 2005 home folder and use Total Installer Thingy to install into the game. By the way, in a 1970 league they'd be in the "a & b" Orioles uniform placements. In my 1971, they'd be "c & g". Enjoy and if you have any questions please let me know! Eskie01

Here is the 1971 Detroit Tigers Uniforms. Again, I got the emblems and original buttons from original uniforms even down to the batting helmet. I even try to get the shade of the uniform templates to match the original photos, of course making sure that there's no red or blue tinge to the photo itself because that would of course throw off the hue of the uniform. I'll get a pack of the 1968-69 Tigers up but the road uniform had a little more brown tinge in the flannel. In 1970, the Tigers got names on their jerseys so with that being said, maybe the flannel had a different gray tinge than the one before. To install, just copy the zip file into the MVP home folder and use Total Installer Thingy to put it into the game. If you have any questions, just let me know! Eskie01

Here are my 1971 A's Uniforms...the home, road, alternate, and the home with the "Reggie Jackson 71 All-Star HR helmet", gold over green. BTW, I have to redo the in-game pics for gold over green helmets...I just can't find the in-game pics that I took when I tried it out. When I get 1 or 2, I'll add them to the list. I included photos of the jersey buttons to give an example of what I've been doing when I mentioned that I'm using original buttons. I've gotten most of those from auctions. When I get an original helmet emblem, I'll make up the sets and re-upload them. Most of the original shots were from the 1971 ALCS. To install them, copy the zips to your home mvp game folder and use Total Installer Thingy to install them into your game. Enjoy...and again, if anybody has a question, let me know...I WILL answer them for you! Eskie01

Here is my 1975 Orioles Uniforms...home, road, & alternate. As I did for the 1971 Orioles alternate uniform, I went to auction sites and Google images for jersey and cap emblems and original buttons. Eventually I will be doing a 1976 set which I'll put the bird emblem on the home/road cap that's currently on the 1975 orange panel and vice-versa. The caps were done by different makers and just like the makers of the jerseys (esp. number fonts), they have their different "quirks". Again, Bruce Genther gave me his approval. I enjoy talking to him through email and talking about different tidbits on Orioles uniforms, etc. Again, Bruce is from Laurel, MD. To install, just place the zip file(s) into the MVP home folder and use Total Installer Thingy to install. Enjoy & if any questions let me know! Eskie01
  6. Did you ever do a regular Yankee Stadium in your 70's stadiums?  I was wondering if you could do me a favor...for 1971 3 Rivers didn't have the "cookie-cutter" infield like Busch or Veterans, could you alter that detail in your 1970's and call it 1971.  Here's a pic from the 71 series in Pittsburgh.

    Thanks Man!

Here is the 1979-86 NBC Overlays. All you need to do is copy the igonly.big file into your data/frontend folder, but make sure you backup your current file first. I don't have the nice original backup proof that I had for the 1971 overlay, but I did do the research in the NBC site and a few others, to mention that this version can be used from 1979 to 1986 give or take. If I can find anything like the 83 ALCS or any other games for sure in that time frame that sports the NBC logo, I'll fit them in for a screen shot. Thanks, Eskie01
  8. Hey Dennis,

I edited my previous 1971 Memorial Stadium, and I also filled in the blank on the scoreboard with the 1st & 2nd innings notation...the area was black before.  Now all of a sudden I get this ugly brown rectangle next to the scoreboard which was black before.  Where did that come from?

    Thanks,

Here is a cyberface of 1983 Greg Luzinski of the 1983 Chicago White Sox. To install: Go into the models.big file of the season that you want to install the player face using the bigGUI tool to look for an unused number to use for the particular player and change all 3 of the player's files to the id number of the unused face number in your particular season of play. Copy all 3 of the files to the "home" folder of your MVP 2005 season and then use a zip program to zip all 3 files together and re-name it to the id number (ex., c398). Use Total installer thingy to install the face into the game. Go into the editor and change the face number to that particular number that just went into the models.big file. If you have any questions, shoot me a note and I'll answer them for you. Eskie01 PS: I forgot to write down where I got it and with the results of my brain tumor, I forgot where I got it, but as Homer reminded below it came from his "HomerClassics". Sorry about that Homer.
  10. Thanks for your comments. I just opened the only fsh file within ingame.big, and there are absolutely NO files having to do with the network logos. I wasn't sure since you said something, but I went through ahead of time to see where the other NBC or ABC logos were and the igonly was the only one affected. I showed the TV station logo on there because once in awhile during the game they'd have the "station identification" and a voice from WGAL TV-8 would come on and give it. If you go onto the MLB channel or youtube and watch any old complete games on there from then, you will hear it given by Curt Gowdy or Joe Garagiola but incomplete because it's not on a channel like originally. Also, I wanted it on there for a memory sake. Thanks, Eskie01

If it's the Lowenstein face, don't forget to change the "04 Face" selection under appearance to "yes" for your player. If you have any questions, shoot me a note and I'll answer them for you. Eskie01 PS: I believe the original faces came with the default game...other than that, I don't know where they came from to give credit.

Here is the Late 60's-Early 70's NBC Overlay with the local network logo WGAL TV from Lancaster/Lebanon, PA. My Dad & I watched the Game of the Week, Sunday afternoon Phillies games and eventually Monday Night Baseball which went 1972-75 according to the documentation that I found on the internet. The original baseball pics are from the 1st night World Series game, game 4 of the 1971 World Series, and the 1971 All Star Game as well. To install...just copy the igonly.big file into your frontend folder but before you do, make sure you backup first in case you don't like it. If you have any question, just shoot me a note! 13. Hi Dennis,

I was wondering if you could do a day version of Olympic Stadium in Montreal for me.  I'm working on a 1983 season, and I saw in my book Green Cathedrals that they didn't have it fully covered until 1987-89.  I put into the game in the RFK slots.  I just made a copy of what was available.

    Thanks,

Here is an edited version of Dennis James's 1970's Memorial Stadium. His original 1970's Memorial Stadium is almost exactly like the 1979 rendition of the original stadium that I noticed on my vcr recordings of the 1979 ALCS with the Angels and my 1979 WS highlights video. Here is a quote from a message that he sent me when I asked if I could edit his Memorial and Oakland Stadiums, "That's no problem at all. Any work I've ever posted here on MVPMods has always been free for anyone to modify or improve upon. Anything I've ever created here has been to share with the community and for everyone to enjoy. Best of luck to you, DENNIS" The actual Memorial Stadium's scoreboard flipped every so often from these 2 and one that was an ad for the News-American, a newspaper that heavily carried the Orioles. These 2 I think were the most colorful. All you need to do is to copy the 2 stadium files into the stadiums folder in your MVP game folder, but I'd backup the other 2 in case you don't like these. If there are any questions, drop me a note. Enjoy! Eskie01

Here is an edited version of Dennis James's 1970's Oakland Coliseum. Best of luck to you, DENNIS" All you need to do is to copy the 2 stadium files into the stadiums folder in your MVP game folder, but I'd backup the other 2 in case you don't like these. I took lineups and scores from a particular day of games and applied them to either the daytime or the nighttime applications. The one with Don Mincher as 1Bman is from the early 1971 season before the trade with the Senators and the other has Epstein which is after the trade. If there are any questions, drop me a note. Enjoy! Eskie01 PS: The original pic is from the introduction of the A's players before a 1972 ALCS game with the Tigers but I have also original color photos of A's and the opposition that shows the scoreboards in the background and they have the identical ARCO signs at the ends. In addition...I added several pics of players from 1971 to show that the scoreboard was consistent with the 1972 ALCS photo here. Jim "Mudcat" Grant only wore this version of the A's uni after coming over from the Pirates in the mid-season 1971, next...Luis Alvarado of the Chisox, you can see the A's wearing the sleeveless jerseys in the background and if you look closely at the White Sox uni you can tell it's flannel by the texture; next Hegan came over from the Brewers for cash and he wouldn't have wore this one in 1972; lastly Ron Klimkowski came over from the Yankees and went back to the Yankees for 1972.

Here are the 1971 Brewers player sound bytes. I only got done a few of the a's and no pa's yet. Boy, Theobald was really hard to do but because my wife gave me some radio games for Christmas, here Theobald played on one of the games with the Brewers along with some of my media guides and baseball registers that I accumulated for a few years. I got some of my tools together when I thought that I'd tinker with the NHL 2009 and try to create the 1974-75 season since I like Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito. I kinda gave up that for now. Anyhow, place all of the dat files into data/audio/cd/spch_pbp/pnamedat and the hexes into data/audio/spch_pbp/pnamehdr files with eagraph or if you have an easier way then use that. I hope to get the Indians names up either later today or tomorrow depending on how I feel...Lord willin'. I get so tired without doing much these days. After I put those in yesterday, I folded some towels that my wifey had done and I had to lay down for a good while and I didn't eat much lunch. Well, we'll see...and enjoy the goodies and drop me a line if you need help. Eskie01
Very nice set and most of the items are VERY accurate. The numbers are exactly like the orange as far as the type and color shading. The wristband shouldn't have any team emblem on. The sleeve shade should be maybe a little darker but not much. I like the jersey logo...it looks like the original even with the shineyness too. The manager's jacket emblem needs to be a little better like the jersey one itself but overall pretty nice though. Eskie01
Not bad but the red needs to be a redder shade. I really like the shoes and the backup photo of one of the players wearing them which is proof that they are appropriate. Very nice, Eskie01
These Orioles uniforms are just wonderful too like those A's that I looked at. I especially just love those caps and helmets that he did for this one. They look just like the real ones that are shown here. I don't know why there weren't included in the newer version because they look a lot better and more like the ones that the players wore in 1970 and 1971. Eskie01
These just look wonderful! He even has the proof of the original there to compare. Just GREAT!

Here are my versions of the 1971 A's player sound bytes. Some of these were terrible to do too like Mangual, they are the best that I can do. I never went to school to do this stuff so I'm no pro at it like I said yesterday. I use the eagraph tool to install them like this: the a, c, and d data files into the data/audio/cd/spch_pbp/pnamedat file and their hexes into data/audio/spch_pbp/pnamehdr file. the pa dats into data/audio/cd/spch_pa/pnamedat file and their hexes into data/audio/spch_pa/pnamehdr file. I know that I don't seem to explain things too good but if you need some help, drop me a note and I'll try my best to help you with whatever you need help with. Enjoy the goodies, Eskie01

Here are the California Angels 25-man roster player audio bytes. There's quite a few tricky ones to do on this team like McMullen, Fregosi, and Messersmith. I ain't no pro at this but I give it my best shot that I have. Just put these dat files into the data/audio/cd/spch_pbp/pnamedat file and the hexes into the data/audio/spch_pbp/pnamehdr file, and I use eagraph to install each kind. If you have any boo-boos, just shoot me a note over and I'll try my best to help you over the humps. Thank you, Eskie01
