  1. Because this team is not that good. Only reason they are in first is because of the stretch run of victories they had back in early spring.
  2. Good win?? it was against the lowly Sox. Lineup is not that great and have holes in pitching staff. Don't trust ACE bandage Cole, Montas hasn't been that good, Holmes can't close out a game without giving a run. Won't go far in the PS.
  3. Way to go Cole. Gave 2 HRs to lower end of batting order, and 3 total. And you're an ACE? Maybe an ace bandage. fortunately you were saved.
  4. WOW!! Yankees won.. scored 6 in first due to Kluber being under par. will see if it continues today or have a letdown.
  5. The Yankees’ Jameson Taillon (12-4, 3.95) is 1-2 in his last five starts, allowing 11 runs over those 25 innings. Corey Kluber is 4-1 in his last seven starts including last weekend win over the Yankees.
  6. Sorry Yankees fans but you do have to admit this team $uck$. I'm not even thrilled that Judge is going for the Yankees HR record because of this HUGE meltdown, not a slump, BUT A MELTDOWN.
  7. What!! Another loss. 1 for 7 RISP, 9 LOB. GEEZ, down to 3 1/2 games I see, 2 in loss column. Possibly another today vs Kluber. Saw video of Hicks 'Little League' botch in left field. C'mon, now. SLIP, SLIDING, AWAY!!!!
  8. How about a WIN tonight, and tomorrow, and Sunday, STINKEES after DJ's HOF celebration. Don't spoil it!!!!!!!!
  9. I only found your 2021 Roster, not 2022 roster. did you make a 2022 Roster?
  10. I don't watch either as I don't have MLB tv subscription anymore so I'll have to check the box score in the morning. too many injuries, too little hitting, too many left on base, no scoring except for a game here and there. man, Tampa Bay can really do some damage to the Yankees ego this weekend if they sweep as the Rays probably have at lease 2 of the same starters as last weekend - one of them Kluber.
  11. Lead down to 4 1/2 games. Rays in town. I checked box score and saw 10 LOB with 1 for 8 RISP vs Twins. Although 10 hits - still could not score. Lead will shrink this weekend because I have no faith in this team.
  12. Beating the Twinkies still has not gotten me to believe in this team. Still weak hitting team.
  13. hitting is still very weak. continue to NOT score runs. Rays pushing along to claim divisional lead. Stayed tuned..
  14. Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo is headed to the 10-day injured list. what else is new??
  15. Read in the Post Stanton got hurt fouling a ball and then no-hit Hicks batted for him later in the game. But nothing else.
  16. @Jim825 Nice performance by Montas yesterday - 5 innings, 1 hit, 7 K’s. Relievers that followed did well until Holmes had a nail biter 9th inning. The Yankees got an important win but there are still concerns with the hitters, other than Judge. There were still too many runners left in scoring position. yes, it's about time. Hopefully they can build on this win and start to do better as the Twins and old friends Gary Sanchez and Gio Urshela visit Yankee Stadium starting today. remains to be seen
  17. just a bad trade Cashman made and Montas is pitching today. oh, no.... I'm sorry, but he is another bad trade Cashman made.
  18. another embarrassment, this one by Josh Donaldson taunting Rays pitcher to throw him another fastball after Springs struck him out on 3 fastballs. see clip:
  19. Losing continues.
  20. ballgame over, the Yankees win, theeeee Yankeeees wiiin!!!!, oops, my bad. game hasn't even started.
  21. haven't scored more than 2 runs vs Kluber in any of his 3 starts against the Yankees so I don't think they will score any more tonight especially since the game is in Tampa.
  22. saw on ESPN.com Kluber is pitching for the Rays - not looking good - I take Kluber over Schmidt. sorry rest of Yankees fans but that's what I feel because this team has no backbone anymore. playing like a bunch of wimps...
  23. Man, oh man. Just saw box score. Lost again. What else is new? 0 for with RISP. No hitting again. 12 K's. Very, very weak team. Another in game injury. Division slipping away and will be lucky to make wild card.
  24. I cancelled my MLB tv subscription for the year a few weeks ago. I'm fed up with this team. it's the same story for the last two months. no hitting, no scoring, pitching so so, trades not working out for them - Montas $uck$, Bader , who knows when he plays. evidently just a fluke they got to the point they were before the All Star break. once a great lead, which could have lead to a cake walk to the division title, now is in jeopardy these next few weeks. Rays playing great baseball now, I see them overtaking the Yankees.
