Yeah, I see according to pressbox they still call this the primary, but i have watched some games of theirs on mlbtv and they all use the new logo during the broadcast so I'm confused.
-
Gonna try to play with this a bit so I can update the O's logos throughout the game. And anybody know if Cleveland has gone straight to the "C" logo. Do they use the Indian head anymore?

Mega Portrait Pack 2K12 Released
raidersbball20 replied to raidersbball20's topic in Mod Announcements
Well, as I told DS I'm not sure what the problem for some is. I haven't changed a thing since last year except avoid the use of portrait decompress tool. I use Photoshop to create the portrait, insert into mod tool and extract back out with the correct ID number and then place in my portrait.7z format. -
Great. I'm glad to hear that.

Love the King Felix Bling.

Mega Portrait Pack 2K12 Released
raidersbball20 replied to raidersbball20's topic in Mod Announcements
The problem you will run into is that in the past before the days of TIT 2K10 people had to still use NBA mod tool. A person had to use Ty's editor, find the ID number, and then load up the portrait.iff in Mod Tool and insert the portrait manually one by one. When Kraw developed TIT it allowed for more ID slots (at least that was always my understanding). I wish his website was still running so I could show you. NBA Mod Tool was limited to 10000 ID's. With decompression and so forth it expanded that to 65000+. Finally, yes I plan to make portraits for them. I usually make them as they are added into the game by 2K. Last year I made a separate release for BSU-FAN's nofakes roster which he is making again. That contained portraits for MLB and AAA. I will do that again if time allows. -
2k updates the rosters throughout the season but prospects have fake names and need to be updated with ty's editor for name change. BSU-FAN is currently working on a nofakes roster as he did last year. It has several changes, accessories, names for A, AA, AAA, MLB, stances, the works. He puts in a lot of work. It's as simple as loading up the file.

Mega Portrait Pack 2K12 Released
raidersbball20 replied to raidersbball20's topic in Mod Announcements
I am just worried about compatability. If you saw earlier DS released a portrait pack with the portrait.iff and cdf and the pics overlapped and had ghosting. I did this same method last year as well. Do you have the latest nba mod tool? And is java up to date/installed? -

Mega Portrait Pack 2K12 Released

First of all, I don't use other websites to host because I support mvpmods. We had problems with Korean sites stealing our work last year and hosting on their site and calling it their own. I know Sharing was trying to help but no I will never do that. And this method of installation is not difficult. I would encourage you ask for help in the forums. You use NBA mod tool to decompress your portrait.iff file which is located in the installation directory. You only use it once ever. Then you use TIT 2K10 to install the portrait.7z file. You DO NOT uncompress it. It does all the work for you. -

Mega Portrait Pack 2K12 Released
raidersbball20 replied to raidersbball20's topic in Mod Announcements
When I create the portraits I cut at the shoulders up. That's what I did last year as well. As far as quality goes i work with what I can get. Kelly Johnson was an example of the only photo I could get so his ratio is different then many of the other portraits. If I come across better photos(not photoshopped etc.) I try to update them to better ones. -

You uncompress the portrait iff with NBA mod tool. It's located in your install directory. Then you install the .7z file with TIT 2010. -
MLB Portrait Pack 2K12 has been released in the download section with a video tutorial. If there are any requests or problems please use this thread.

Currently there are 1319 portraits in the pack. If I missed anyone or there are any requests please message me under this topic in the forums. -
Have completed portraits for all MLB teams for current 2k roster except for Yankees and White Sox. Plan to make a video tutorial and release the Mega Pack this weekend. Added some more pics to view.
-
Alright, been working alot but finally got some modding started for the 2k12 Mega Portrait Pack. I believe I solved the ghosting/overlapping issues some were experiencing. I will be hard at work on this over the weekend. Here are some screen caps. When I release I will make another video tutorial this year so no one has any problems.
-
So here is the tool. However, like I said it has the old nba mod tool built in. Kraw stated that it allowed the use of 65000+ slots whereas mod tool solo was limited to 10000. Hope it helps and keep me posted. portrait_decompress.7z
-
DS did you strictly use NBA Mod Tool or the Portrait Decompress Tool last year? Just curious, cause I remember when Kraw designed it there was something about how it was supposed to provide more portrait IDs...blah blah blah. And since the program is old and only has the old mod tool built in its not an option. Let me know if you have any luck.
-
You getting a head start is fine my me. It's a lot of work making these things. I work 12 hr shifts the next 5 days in a row so you're gonna be leading the race for sure. As far as TIT goes I'll see what I can do.
-
Ok, DonSpa figured that much out. Dumb mistake.
-
Anyone try viewing the portrait.iff with NBA Mod tool? I haven't had any luck. It won't decompress the file for me and I can't view any portraits.
-
Just got home and mine was waiting for me. I love Amazon Prime.
