  1. This would be SO much easier (and better) if I had a "bushy hair" option.
  2. Bucky Dent
  3. Thanks, dennis. I'm getting more used to the face creator, but nowhere NEAR where I want to be. I figured creating these rosters would give me some good practice.
  4. Craig Nettles
  5. Reggie Jackson
  6. Thanks for the headsup, dennis, changing the names worked. Like I said, it's not necessarily stats I'm after, just more of a quick pick 'em up between the two teams. I'll assign realistic (as possible) player ratings and I have a good slider set, so the games should play pretty decent.
  7. Something just hit me: I could rename Chambliss to Rizzuto in the game, and assign him the #10. Obviously, the Yankees don't wear their name on the back of the jerseys, so I could keep the created Chambliss in the game. Addtionally, I could turn off the audio for his name, probably resulting in only announcing him as #10. The obvious drawback would be when looking at the stats and lineups, etc., Chambliss would be listed as Rizzuto. However, I personally won't be playing an entire season with these rosters, so I may just go that way to get the correct visuals. Will probably do the same with Nettles #9 (Maris).
  8. Sure does, sabugo.
  9. Thanks for the research, dennis, appreciate it. I was messing around with Chambliss again last night and came to the conclusion that it just can't be done -- that SOME retired numbers are locked out. Can't figure out why I can use Munson's number, but oh well. Anyway, I went ahead and gave Chambliss his one time #50. It's not the way I remember it, but it'll have to do.
  10. Mickey Rivers
  11. The great Mickey Rivers is next. One of my fav players of all time.
  12. Steve Yeager

  14. haha, I'm one lucky bas**rd. My birthday is March 7th, always around release date every year. Thanks mom.
  15. Just to add, I've been saving video clips of different ball physics in the game; balls hitting and popping off the bags, short bloopers into the shallow outfield, ropes hit down the line, and so on. I'll have to upload them sometime, it's truly very realistic -- depending on the type of pitch, the pitch location, where you make contact and how much you "get" of the ball, all combined with the speed of the pitch -- just feels right. Here's a small example, but I've got a bunch more on a flash drive somewhere. This was pretty cool too, watch how Crisp cuffs this ball off the wall. Another excellent "little thing" The Show show has put in, playing the ball off the wall is truly an art. And as well all know, most every fence in the Majors is different. No two games are even close to the same.
  16. It's a killer machine that does much more than play games. I've got the 360 and haven't touched it in years. The Show is so versatile in what you can do. Creating these teams has been one of the funnest things I've done in many, many years. The face creator alone was worth the price of the game to me, not to mention -- for a console baseball game -- it's also one of the best, most realistic sims I've ever played. If this game was on the PC and moddable, it would be over as we know it.
  17. Just to add, and without checking, I'm not even sure Maris's number WAS retired. I'm assuming it was.
  18. Agreed. I'm going to work on the Yankees tonight and I'll look it up if I have to. Nettles, I believe was #9, which also may be Maris' retired number, I haven't checked yet. I've gone too far to give up on this now, these guys were my heros at the ripe old age of 11. Can't wait to get this done and play some games with them.
  19. Thanks for the info, Y4L. I remember him wearing #10, but when I pulled up Baseball Reference to get his information, they had him listed as #50. At first, I thought it was some kind of mistake. To be honest, I don't remember him wearing that number but apparently he did. I need to get this figured out. Chris Chambliss wore #10 in those days and I can't have it any other way. It just "looks" right.
  20. There aren't any classic teams that come with the game, just guys that create the rosters themselves that you can upload online. Usually the reason you can't assign a number is because someone on the team already has it, but I've checked many times and no one else has it. Like I said, very strange because it let's me add Munson's retired #15. Chambliss also wore #50 at some point, I might have to go that route.
  21. Kristen (Mary Cross) was easily my favorite on Dallas
  22. I was in love, Carlos.
  23. Definitely a crush of mine in the 80's. Phylicia Rashad
  24. Bill Russell
  25. Thanks, Y4L. That's what I thought, however it will let me use #15 but not #10. Can't figure this one out.
