  1. Any Yankee fans out there know why I can't assign Chris Chambliss #10? I assume it's a retired number, and without digging can't think of who it would be. He also wore #50 (Baseball Reference) apparently, so I'll have to give him that number. Not sure what's going on with it, but I assumed Munson's #15 would have been retired too. Confused.
  2. Thurman Munson Chris Chambliss
  3. Finally getting a chance to work on these again. Davey Lopes would be better served with a "bushy hair" option. Steve Garvey Ron Cey Davey Lopes
  4. For all The Show players out there, was just curious if anyone would be interested in having the 1977 World Series Roster set (Dodgers vs Yankees). I've obtained the 1971-1975 Classic's Team Rosters, the 1984 Roster Set, the 1988 and 1989 Roster set, but didn't see these available anywhere so I've decided to create them myself. This is my first piece of the Dodger's roster, third baseman Ron Cey (announced as Ron Seay in the game). I did most of the research necessary to create him and even though I watched him play when I was younger, there was much more to the eye than I remember, which really enhances the finished product. For example, Cey wore a batting glove on his left hand (index finger out) while batting and fielding, no armor, no long sleeves most of the time, this screen shot is early in the season and at night. No eye grease, a light bit of tar oh his helmet and bat, and so on. Height, weight, and age are obviously easy to duplicate, but creating the face and assigning a batting stance probably took the most time, of both which I'm fairly new at. I'll be assigning attributes last, probably the most difficult part of creating the player. Anyway, If anyone is interested, post feedback and/or suggestions in this thread.
  5. Not sure how old most of you guys are, but do any of you remember the controversial poster of Farrah that came out in the 70's? She was wearing a red bathing suit and was obviously a bit chilly. Wow, how times have changed.
  6. One of my all time favs. Linda Blair

  8. I'm getting my games played in the early evening, good thing it's just once a day. Busy around here now with kids home for summer. Anyway, Mike, keep me updated on how your season's going. Kinda started this up just to have a place to talk seasons, etc., whatever the game may be that people are playing, but it doesn't look like much is going on in the Franchise Dept. anymore. You need to retire, I'll send you some of these templates and we'll light up this forum.

  10. A little skinny for my taste, but gorgeous nonetheless.
  11. SMITH BREAKS TIE WITH PINCH HIT HR IN 8TH, A'S WIN 4-1
  12. Sure did. Anderson only gave up 2 earned runs, the other two came off of errors by Lowrie and Anderson himself. But yeah, I think Jeter started 3 or 4 double plays. Pettitte had some good stuff, could hardly hit him.
  13. YANKS WIN 4-2, SNAP A'S 6 GAME WINNING STREAK
  14. Had to change that template real quick. Went down to start the game and noticed both pitchers were hot as well. Should be a good one.
  15. Going 0-4 doesn't qualify getting your name spelled right on the post game recap. At least not for the opposing team.

  17. Thanks, guys, appreciate the good words. That said, if any of you have followed a season of mine, you know it's more about the game than the graphics. I've not been in Photoshop lately as much as I should have, so I wanted to try and polish my skills best I could, and through what avenue other than baseball could possibly be better? Anyway, it's a tight season thus far in the A.L. West. With the good fortune of a 6 game winning streak, I've managed to sneak up within a game of the Angels, but can't seem to get any luck with Texas losing. Playing with the real life rosters (I also control the rosters for all 30 teams) and optimizing lineups throughout the league, Texas is as tough as their real life counterpart. Houston is dancing around .500, surprisingly, and Seattle is down in the cellar at 26-37 @ 11.5 games back. Losing John Jaso to the 60 Day DL (25 days left) has put somewhat of a thorn at the catcher's position. I was forced to bring up left handed hitting Stephen Vogt to fill the void and platoon with the right handed hitting Derrick Norris. As you can see from the stats on the Catcher's Card, neither one are producing much to this point. Jaso was hitting extremely well but went down in late April. With Nakajima going down and Jemile Weeks struggling, I decided to bring up Eric Sogard (8 games), and he has absolutely been tearing it up. Definitely the biggest surprise early in the season. If he continues to play like he is, and barring injury, he'll be a staple at second base (Lowrie at SS) for the rest of the season. Moving on, I'm about to open up a 3 game set against the 33-31 (2.5 GB) Yankees at home, who in the game have all their healthy (and steroid free) counterparts. I'll post lineup cards in a while, and post the recap later tonight after the game. Should be a great series.
