Happy Birthday, bro!

Y4L is right. The datafile makes the difference in realistic gameplay and even ball physics. As stated, there are plenty to choose from. I posted my sliders and datafile (heavily based off of True's datafile) in the downloads section. I had the exact same results (balls hit up the middle) as you did using the default datafile. If desired, you might give mine a shot: http://www.mvpmods.c...s&showfile=5919 Good luck.

Got a text yesterday from El Paso, Texas. Trues was blessed with a healthy grandson the other day. I have a feeling this kid will have a glove before he learns to walk. Congrats, Mike!

Random Thoughts On A Sunday Morning Updated To 7-28

I'm personally for instant replay in certain situations, but like most, believe bad calls eventually even out in the end. That said, if there were ever a case for instant replay needed on balls and strikes, this should be it. I'm sure whoever saw this game called by Eric Gregg will never forget it: -

The truly sad thing about it is this: The 12 year olds in the LLWS are wearing a patch on the shoulders of their uniforms that says "I Won't Cheat!" Sad to think about that grown up major leaguers (whether they want to be role models or not) have brought this down to the kids that grow up playing baseball. I'm grateful that I didn't have to wear this patch when I was growing up, I'd probably viewed the game in a much different way. These cheaters should be ashamed of themselves, and be thrown from the game indefinitely. -
Was watching this game yesterday between Canada and Mexico. I catch the LLWS every year, and I've never seen a better catch in my life, so I backed up the DVR and recorded the play with my phone. Wow, a pro web gem for sure.

Wiffle Ball - Ah, These Were The Days

. Was kind of curious about this myself. We just had the ole standard white plastic wiffle balls that barely weighed anything. -
Wiffle Ball - Ah, These Were The Days

Those were the days. I can remember getting into a heap of sh*t when I lined the backyard with flour from my mom's kitchen. Had to admit, it looked awesome. :) -
Wiffle Ball - Ah, These Were The Days

We mostly played fast pitch with a tennis ball, with a catcher and the whole nine yards. Needless to say it stung a bit when you got beaned, but was extremely addicting. -

Thanks for the good words, always appreciated. Glad to see a dynasty around here again, it looks great so far. Keep up the good work, looking foward to it! :) -

I can see them. Looks great, man. If you need some templates for your dynasty, feel free to ask. I'm pretty sure I still have everything I made in the past. Great job so far. -
This game may be the last Pennington sees in the Majors for quite some time. Although playing well in this win vs Colorado, he committed 3 errors (which led to 3 runs) in a 4-1 loss to San Diego in the very next game.

I haven't really experienced that with this year's Show, at least it doesn't "feel" like it has in the past. That said, playing with the A's (accurate rosters) I'm 27-36 as of June 15th (10 games back), whereas the real life A's were 30-35 (8 games back). The schedule is a day or two off. The Nationals, Yankees, Dodgers, Rangers, and Whitesox are leading their respective divisions. All in all, the game is tough as nails, and fairly realistic on my end. For me, it's simply the best baseball game ever made.

Thanks, Mike! Been getting some games in lately, having a rough time at 26-36 but still a ton of fun to play. Now that this is open again, I may start posting my dynasty. Hope to see all the regulars and some new faces too! :)

haha, of course not, ALB. You're more than capable of creating your own work. You're most definitely a unique talent. :)

112155 is absolutely correct. Being one of the older members here, I've seen this same behavior in schools all my life. Nothing has changed, and sadly probably never will. I can tell you this, if one of my kids (ages 14, 12, 11) acted like this in school, or public in general, they wouldn't see the light of day for a year.

Although obviously on a different level, I've seen my Photoshop work (for dynasties) turn up on different sites as well, with people claiming that it's their own work. I have to admit I was a little ticked at first, but ultimately realized there isn't much you can do about it, so to me the only thing you can realistically do is to try to look at the bright side; people are still enjoying your work, but the thieves know better. They know who they are. It sorta makes you feel sorry for someone that has to stoop to that level.

I don't care much for the NBA, but college basketball is a different story. :) -
You might wanna give these a try. http://www.mvpmods.c...s&showfile=5919 I posted these about a year ago. Sliders are obviously exclusive to one's playing style, but they worked out great for me and was an extremely good challenge. Hope they work out for ya!

scottybilly - Do you happen to play The Show on the PS3? If so, you might want to check out The Show Alliance. It's basically a handful of members that originated here at MVP Mods, including the founder of this site, but after 5 or 6 years here, have moved on to to a newer baseball title. Obviously there are no mod talks, or files to download, but we're there everyday to talk baseball, but mainly just shooting the sh*t about everyday life. We play a few online games, and are talking about throwing a small league together later this summer just for the fun of it. Lots of mature guys, and very good sportsmanship all around the table. After all, it's all about fun anyway, right? Anyway, if you have a PS3, play The Show, and just want to be in a relaxed environment, come check us out, you're bound to have a good time. Not trying to pull you, or anyone from here, it's a great site and has been for many years, just giving you a headsup. -
