  1. I haven't really experienced that with this year's Show, at least it doesn't "feel" like it has in the past. That said, playing with the A's (accurate rosters) I'm 27-36 as of June 15th (10 games back), whereas the real life A's were 30-35 (8 games back). The schedule is a day or two off. The Nationals, Yankees, Dodgers, Rangers, and Whitesox are leading their respective divisions. All in all, the game is tough as nails, and fairly realistic on my end. For me, it's simply the best baseball game ever made.
  2. Thanks, Mike! Been getting some games in lately, having a rough time at 26-36 but still a ton of fun to play. Now that this is open again, I may start posting my dynasty. Hope to see all the regulars and some new faces too! :)
  3. Very cool. I'm sure it has to do with the color scheme of Italy's flag.
  4. haha, of course not, ALB. You're more than capable of creating your own work. You're most definitely a unique talent. :)
  5. 112155 is absolutely correct. Being one of the older members here, I've seen this same behavior in schools all my life. Nothing has changed, and sadly probably never will. I can tell you this, if one of my kids (ages 14, 12, 11) acted like this in school, or public in general, they wouldn't see the light of day for a year.
  6. Although obviously on a different level, I've seen my Photoshop work (for dynasties) turn up on different sites as well, with people claiming that it's their own work. I have to admit I was a little ticked at first, but ultimately realized there isn't much you can do about it, so to me the only thing you can realistically do is to try to look at the bright side; people are still enjoying your work, but the thieves know better. They know who they are. It sorta makes you feel sorry for someone that has to stoop to that level.
  7. I don't care much for the NBA, but college basketball is a different story. :)
  8. You might wanna give these a try. http://www.mvpmods.c...s&showfile=5919 I posted these about a year ago. Sliders are obviously exclusive to one's playing style, but they worked out great for me and was an extremely good challenge. Hope they work out for ya!
  9. scottybilly - Do you happen to play The Show on the PS3? If so, you might want to check out The Show Alliance. It's basically a handful of members that originated here at MVP Mods, including the founder of this site, but after 5 or 6 years here, have moved on to to a newer baseball title. Obviously there are no mod talks, or files to download, but we're there everyday to talk baseball, but mainly just shooting the sh*t about everyday life. We play a few online games, and are talking about throwing a small league together later this summer just for the fun of it. Lots of mature guys, and very good sportsmanship all around the table. After all, it's all about fun anyway, right? Anyway, if you have a PS3, play The Show, and just want to be in a relaxed environment, come check us out, you're bound to have a good time. Not trying to pull you, or anyone from here, it's a great site and has been for many years, just giving you a headsup.

  11. Thanks man. The "Pro" level has been really one of the concerns I think that most people have had when I started posting these. I tweaked these solid for nearly 2 months, adjusting on all levels of the game. Ultimately, the Pro level produced the most balanced, overall results. And with a few minor changes in pitch speed, etc., a really good challenge to most players. Thanks for the good words, and I'm glad they're working out for you.

  13. Welcome to the site!

  14. 7-5 is a miracle, considering how strange this weekend went. I'll take it.

  16. Unfortunately, I saw this week's disaster unfold as the day progressed. 4-9. Ouch.
  17. I'm basically a fair weathered NFL fan, always pull for the Dolphins. But when there's a fumble, there's a recovery. Not rocket science. With as tough as a week it's been, I needed that pick!
  18. Same here, not a big deal. This is turning out to be a rough week for picks.

  20. Thanks for the good words Josh, hopefully more people give them a try.  :friends:
  21. Hopefully the people that are still playing the game will try them out. In the past, I had gotten some mild criticism (welcomed, of course) about the fact the the sliders were based off the Pro Level, but this was before they had tried them out. In my case, this combined set been the biggest challenge for me, even after playing the game for nearly 5 years, with the best results I have personally been able to obtain. Play style and talent level are obviously the biggest factor when trying out any slider set, but any and all feedback are welcome.
