  2. Yep, you're right Dylan. Got it changed, thanks for the headsup! :)
  3. Yeah, KC surprised everyone I think. Guess I'll be picking the Dolphins next week. :search:
  4. Definitely. We used to do this every week at work during the NFL season, and it really starts to get fun as the season gets going.  Something to do while we wait for baseball in the spring. :)
  5. Same here, M. We'll get 'em next week. :spiteful:

  7. Good enough. Total wins are total wins, I guess, at the end of the season. Sounds good to me.
  8. lol, I didn't even notice that you both had the same total points in both games. I have to admit, I don't think I've ever seen it this close. Looks like we'll have to do what you suggested. Whoever comes closest to the real score wins. I really don't know any other way.
  9. Cumulative. Most total wins by a participant at the end of the year. This way, people that do poorly in one week have a chance to bounce back the next, etc.
  10. DadofTwins and rroy0824 are both at 11-3, and both have the same picks for tonight. More than likely it'll come down to those two, with the total score deciding the winners. Still though, there are three guys behind them at 10-4. It could get interesting.
  11. I would have been 10-4 had I not picked against my own team (Miami). Guess that'll teach me.
  12.  Week 1 Results (winners in red) Minnesota at New Orleans Carolina at NY Giants Atlanta at Pittsburgh Cleveland at Tampa Bay Denver at Jacksonville Indianapolis at Houston Miami at Buffalo Detroit at Chicago Oakland at Tennessee Cincinnati at New England Arizona at St. Louis San Francisco at Seattle Green Bay at Philadelphia Dallas at Washington Monday Night games still to be played ************************************************************ Player Standings DadofTwins (11-3) rroy0824 (11-3) SSX (10-4) DylanBradbury (10-4) rookie_rick (10-4) JoeRudi26 - (9-5) SESbb30 (9-5) Masestro (9-5) laroquece (7-7) andy82 (7-7) Y4L (5-9) I copied and pasted the picks in a text file and looked over the winners, but feel free to double check your picks, mistakes are possible

  14. Sean, you forgot to underline and bold  'Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy' and 'make an azz out of himself'.  ;)
  15. Just a reminder to anyone else who wants to play, the games start tonight (Sep. 9th) at 8:30 EST, and your entries must be in before kickoff.

  17. Was wondering if some members here would be interested in participating in a weekly, game by game  NFL prediction thread. Since we're obviously on a baseball site, there may or may not be a substantial amount of members interested, but being a member here for quite a few years, I know there are some that do follow the NFL season. Anyway, it's just for fun (unless Trues decides otherwise) and the rules are quite simple: 1. I (JoeRudi26) will post the schedule at the beginning of the week 2. Your entry (predictions) must be before the start of the earliest game in the respective week 3. You must underline and bold your predicted winners without predicting the score 4. In the event of a tie, the Monday Night Game(s) will be the deciding factor 5. Most total wins at the end of the season will decide the overall winner Monday Night Game(s) a. underline your predicted winner b. predict your score (for example: Dolphins 27, Bills 10) c. the total of the score for both teams will be added together, in this case the total would be 37 d. the participant closest to the total score will win the tiebreaker -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is the schedule for Week 1: THU, SEP 9 Minnesota at New Orleans SUN, SEP 12 Carolina at NY Giants  Atlanta at Pittsburgh Cleveland at Tampa Bay Denver at Jacksonville Indianapolis at Houston Miami at Buffalo Detroit at Chicago Oakland at Tennessee Cincinnati at New England Arizona at St. Louis San Francisco at Seattle Green Bay at Philadelphia Dallas at Washington MON, SEP 13 Baltimore at NY Jets  San Diego at Kansas City -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (for those that want to participate, just copy the schedule, paste it in the message box and follow the instructions listed above, I will tally and post the scores on Tuesdays following the Monday Night Game)
  18. Thanks for the reply, rade. I'll check it out later tonight when I can finally get away from work. I'll report back to let you know if I got it working.
  19. If you don't mind, how exactly do you go about changing the mapping ratio on your LCD screen? I have a 22" LCD widescreen and have long given up on finding a solution to run MVP on this monitor. Although I've been wrapped up in The Show this season, I have no doubt I'll be firing up MVP for years to come. Thanks!
  20. Man, rick.. Do you guys say this across the pond?: When it rains, it pours?
  21. You just can't catch a break, rick.  I know the feeling of not being able to get over that hump.  At times like this, even .500 looks good.
  22. Good luck, rick.  Like I said, it's good to see this going again.  Hopefully we'll see more here in the next couple of weeks.
  23. ..and the plot thickens..I love it! Great job, rick, do what you gotta do. Looks like things are starting to get interesting!
  24. I feel your pain, rick, that bottom 6th was the killer. I know games like these all too well, you just can't seem to get over that hump. Keep pluggin man, that 10 game winning streak might just be right around the corner.
