Man rick, am I reading this right?? You've lost 8 in a row now? You need to get away from Interleague Play, and fast. B)
-
Kind of reminds me when this happened. I was actually watching this game.
-
No problem, it's easy to make mistakes when the updates are so in depth. That said, a couple of weeks without Texeira is better than all season. Other than Duchscherer, I've got everyone healthy at this point. Great updates, rick, you just gotta pull out some wins against the NL. :D
-
rick, what was the nature of Texeira's injury and how long will he be out? I looked through the last updates and didn't see it.
-
Nice outing by Zink. Looks like he made quick work of that game. How are the Royals doing in the standings?
-
Absolutely, Maestro, I'd love to see them. BTW rick, Boston has caught and tied the almighty Rays for first place in my dynasty. The way things started, it looked like Tampa Bay was going to completely run away with the East. At just 4.5 games back, New York is making a run at it too. Should be fun this year. ^_^

In real life, Jack Cust leads the team with 7 homeruns, but check out Holliday's stats. My game: Matt Holliday - ( 50 games) .263/6/18/SO 28/SB 3/5 2B Real life: Matt Holliday - .(46 games) .264/6/28/SO 29/SB 3/6 2B Of course, not everyone in the lineup's stats are this close, but as least I know the game is playing well. But to answer your question, there won't be much power coming out of this team all year, unless someone just goes on a tear. While we're at it, and since it is your thread , here's how Boston stacks up on my end: While not having quite the monster year he's having in real life, it looks as though Jason Bay is pulling his weight (in my game) this year too.

In my dynasty, Jermaine Dye leads the league with 17. But just for your information, Lowell has 14 and Papi has 13. Matt Holliday is leading my A's with a whopping 6. It may be a long season.
-
Wow, AROD with 18 homeruns already? Barring injury, this may be a record setting year. :D
-
Man, I guess Papi hasn't heard about the "slump". Looks like you laid the smackdown on them in game 1.
-
Great updates, rick. Looks like you're getting caught up to the real schedule, just curious if that's your intentions. Oh, and good luck against the Yankees! B)
-
Great update, rick, and a good win to boot! BTW, how many long balls does Pedrioa have by now?
-
Congrats on the winning streak, rick, looks like you're at least starting to get some cushion in the division. Good job on the updates too!
-
I'm the same way. Ichiro gives me nightmares every time I face Seattle. I remember (in real life) how Rickey Henderson could rattle the opponent and change the face of the entire game when he got on base. Before you know it, the inning has snowballed on you and you're down a handful of runs.
-
9 runs on 14 hits. I feel your pain. They are tough to contain. In a 3 game series back in April, I did get lucky and win one. How I ever kept them to one run is beyond me, they just destroy me otherwise. But anyway, good luck on taking them down. ^_^
-
Good luck against them, rick, let us know how this series turns out.
-
Jim, was looking through the Total Classics today and just got the urge to do something in PS. No big deal if you don't want it.
-
Way to pull that one out, rick. Wow, and on only 65 pitches? They must have been swinging often and early.
-
Good to see you back, rick, and good to see MVP is still alive and kickin'. After playing with some horrid sliders to start my season in MVP this year (my own, btw), I have finally found a the perfect set for my style of play. I almost gave up, but I kept pluggin' until I finally have this game playing the right way again. 10-7 with Oakland, trying to catch up with the real schedule. But not to hijack your thread, looks like a great game against the Tribe, just wondering if you were sweating bullets in the top half of the ninth? Anyway, everything looks great! BTW, you still playing your Show dynasty too?
-
Dice K with 8 K's, and a combined 11 for the game. 9 runs on 14 hits. Guess you came ready to play. :D
-
I've thought about tweaking my sliders again, but to be honest, I'd rather have to stay patient and keep it a challenge. To me, there's nothing worse than too much offense (in baseball) and playing blowouts nearly every game. It can get frustrating at times, but if I stick to my "one game a day", I'm more apt to stay focused and patient.
-
No that's ok. I was just wondering because our offensive numbers look alot alike. I'd like to average 7-10 hits a game, but it seems I'm always around 6-8. I do better if I stay 100% patient and wait on my pitch. Hard to do, but it pays off.
-
Nice job on squeezing out that win, rick. BTW, what sliders are you using?
-
Just curious, rick, what is that lens flare effect on your video called? I couldn't seem to find it.
-
Tough game, rick, but good job on pulling that one out. Good job on the vid too.
