September Call-Up

September Call-Up (2/10)

  1. I hate to ask a stupid question, but the 360 gamepad you're trying to connect is wired, right?
  2. The Manufacturer for the XBCD driver is listed as Redcl0ud.
  3. The XBCD driver should be listed as a "Human Interface Device". One other thing, have you tried configuring your gamepad on another machine?
  4. You'll probably have to remap the controls (if you use the gamepad). the biggest benefits are being able to configure the triggers as independent buttons instead of parts of a single axis and the added rumble support. MVP works with the default MS drivers, but it works better with the XBCD drivers.
  5. Alright, go to Control Panel->Add/Remove Hardware. Opt not to use Windows Update. Choose the driver to install. Choose the pick from a list option and track down the XBCD controller driver.
  6. 1.That's the way I installed. It probably doesn't matter, but I've seen some computers screw things up if you don't install the drivers before plugging things in. 2.It'll affect other games, if you have previously configured them to use the gamepad using the Microsoft drivers. 3. The XBCD driver applet doesn't have the ability to do this (that I know of). You probably need another application to configure that and I don't know the name of it offhand.
  7. You should see a controller no matter which one you installed. Did you install the drivers with the controller unplugged? That said, the XBCD ones are preferred since they give you more options for configuration.
  8. Yes, that is correct. No, the drivers on that CD are unnecessary.
  9. Driver link Kraw's instructions, courtesy of EA Mods Don't use the download links for the XBCD drivers from his instructions thread. My link has both the XBCD config util and the 360 controller drivers in one installer.
  10. You need to install the XBCD drivers instead of the MS ones (which, frankly, suck at this stage). Drivers: http://matt-land.com/xbcd/ Install Guide: http://xbcd360guide.50webs.com/
  11. Here's the config I use with my 360 pad. I've tried to get it to mirror the PS2 layout as close as I could. Looks pretty similar to Krawitham's for the most part (other than the buttons being mapped slightly differently). profile= XBCD_XBox_Gamepad device= XBCD_XBox_Gamepad player= 1 number_of_buttons= 12 number_of_povs= 1 number_of_axis= 7 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_START= button 10 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SELECT= button 9 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CROSS= button 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CIRCLE= button 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SQUARE= button 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_TRIANGLE= button 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L1= button 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R1= button 6 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L2= button 7 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R2= button 8 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L3= button 11 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R3= button 12 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_UP= pov0 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_DOWN= pov180 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_LEFT= pov270 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_RIGHT= pov90 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_UP= axis+ 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_DOWN= axis- 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis- 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 5 VPAD_PITCH_1= button 1 VPAD_PITCH_2= button 2 VPAD_PITCH_3= button 3 VPAD_PITCH_4= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_5= button 6 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_SECOND= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_THIRD= button 3 VPAD_PITCH_OUT= button 1 VPAD_THROW_BALL= button 5 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_WALK= button 12 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_HITBATTER= button 11 VPAD_PITCH_HISTORY_OPEN= button 11 VPAD_SWING_NORMAL= button 1 VPAD_SWING_BUNT= button 12 VPAD_CHARGE_MOUND= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_SECOND= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_THIRD= button 3 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_HOME= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_SWITCH= button 5 VPAD_FIELD_RELAY_THROW= button 8 VPAD_FIELD_CUTOFF_THROW= button 8 VPAD_FIELD_FAKE_RUNDOWN_THROW= button 6 VPAD_RUNNER_FIRST_SELECT= button 2 VPAD_RUNNER_SECOND_SELECT= button 3 VPAD_RUNNER_THIRD_SELECT= button 4 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNFIRST= pov90 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNSECOND= pov0 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNTHIRD= pov270 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNHOME2SCORE= pov180 1 VPAD_BASERUNNER_ADVANCEALL= button 5 VPAD_BASERUNNER_RETREATALL= button 6
