  2. What I'm thinking of doing is just do a limited roster editor that does only what you can't do with the in-game editor. If that's what I end up doing, I won't charge for it. But if I commit weeks of my time to do a full editor, I'm going to charge for it.

Load the "my player" save that you want to fix, and then press the "Fix My Player" button. This removes your postseason goal which causes the game to crash when you get to the playoffs. This works anytime after you receive your postseason goal. If your save is already in the playoffs, but the game crashes when you try to load it, this should fix it. Previously, I thought these slots were possibly used for bullpen catchers and ballboys. I had to do some minor reworking of the names editing. I wasn't reading/writing jersey names for players in slots 3808 - 4050 because in the original roster they all had 00 00 00 00 for the link to their jersey name. The editor could save it fine, but it wouldn't load the current value into the Throwing Accuracy box. fixed a problem for a couple of players that had a bad batting stance id. (Henry Blanco and Chester Chico both had 6701 for their batting stance id) In the in-game editor, this would show up as Custom without giving the options to customize. With 0.23 and 0.24 the bad batting stance id would cause an error. Now if I find an id that doesn't match one of the legal ones, I change it to custom. These files are saved in the MLB2K10 Roster Editor folder. The files have the original name followed by ".bak" followed by the date the file was backed up, followed by the time the file was backed up.   5. That's not the reason. When you play a game, the resolution of the window is the same resolution that you use for fullscreen. By the way, the game also plays fast like that in fullscreen mode if I turn "vertical sync" off.

Use this so the program knows where to find your portraits and faces. - Now supports languages other than English. Read below for more information. - Now requires Visual C++ 2008 Runtime Components. A link to it is in required.html Language support: The program will let you choose from all of the .txt files in the "loc" folder. Currently, the only completed language is english. To add support for a new language, all you need is to create a new text file in the "loc" folder. Example: You want to add support for German. 1. Rename "Copy of English.txt" to "Deutsch.txt" 2. Then open "Deutsch.txt" in a text editor, and translate every line into German. 3. Save the file. To change the current language: Click the UN Flag in the bottom left hand corner. Either Double-Click on the language, or select it and press the Enter key on your keyboard. If you want me to include your language file(s) with future versions of the program, send them to me.
  8. I believe I've heard that the umpires face is face 901. So in models.big --- g001.fsh, g001.ord, g001.orl would be the files for the umpires face.
  9. wrigleyville, if it says "Disabled" in the box, you have to click anywhere in the MVP2005 Editor window. After you do that it should change to "Enabled", "Address not found", or "MVP2005 not running".
  10. One way is right click on the shortcut you use to start the game. Click properties. Then read what's in the target box.
  11. wrigleyville33, can you confirm that you are running mvp2005.exe to start the game?
  12. I realize this is a month and half old question. '05 portraits are compatible with '04. But when you add them to the portrait.big file, make sure that they are not compressed. If they are compressed, they crash the game. I just added all of the portraits from the 2007 mod into my MVP 2004 and it works just fine.
  13. The details really didn't help. I thought that it would say which file couldn't be found. Does it ever say enabled in the bottom left corner?
  14. What does it say if you click the details button on that error? Also what happens if you click continue?

  20. If you want to give Bob Gibson longsleeves, yes you will need to download and install the sleeve mod. If you want to give him longsleeves in the middle of a dynasty use the latest version of MVP2005 Editor. With your dynasty running, minimize the game, run MVP2005 editor. Type "Gibson" in the box and press Enter. Change skin tone to 15 (assuming you want red sleeves) Then click the Save Changes button. If you want to give him longlseeves for exhibition games or for when you start a new dynasty you can just edit attrib.dat in notepad. Search for Gibson. Change the number that is after ",38 " from whatever it is to 14 (assuming you want red sleeves). Then save the file. =============== If you want to be able to use MVPedit (rglass4's program) with the 5 additional skin tones: 1. Assuming you installed MVPedit to c:Program FilesMVPedit, open up c:Program FilesMVPeditconfig.txt in notepad 2. Find the 'Skin Tone section and make it so it is like this: Now when you open MVPedit, you can assign sleeves to the players.
  21. I think you could already permanently add them to a player with MVPEdit or by manually editing attrib.dat. But you couldn't edit these players with MVP2005 Editor because of the skin tone not being allowed. Honestly, I haven't even installed that mod. Someone just sent me a pm asking me to allow skin tones up to 16 in this program to make it compatible with that mod. Also, now I realize that I didn't allow skin tone 16. I'll post a new version in a minute.
  22. What exactly is happening? You really haven't given any information to help diagnose your problem. But my guess is that you have renamed your mvp2005.exe to mvp2007.exe. It has to be mvp2005.exe for any of my programs to work.
  23. That's the only thing I can think of. It finishes in less than two seconds. So in normal usage, you shouldn't have to wait. (Going from the keyboard to the mouse usually takes me a few seconds at least)
  24. Maybe, you accidentally ran it again after you clicked "Done".
  25. You are running the program at the wrong time. The last chance to run it is from the "Final Score" screen, where there are two buttons, "Box Score" and "Done". After you press the "Done" button you won't be able to get the correct information.
