MVP 2005 speed Ratings Adjusted chart
by murph4thehall
I made this chart to adjust speed ratings because I thought the original rosters had too much of a discrepancy between the faster and slower baserunners.
You need Microsoft Excel 97 or better to view this file and MVPEdit to make the changes.
How to adjust ratings in MVPedit using the chart:
1) open the global edit interface
2) Find POSITIONAL PLAYERS ONLY with the speed rating listed on the chart replace the old rating with the new rating.
IMPORTANT!! You must start at players with 70 and progress through to players with 39 (slowest), and then go back to players with 71 and work through 97 (fastest). IF YOU DON'T DO THIS YOU WILL RE-RATE SOME PLAYERS AND YOUR ROSTERS COULD BE INACCURATE!
I edited Spanish Flys roster using my chart and in the few games I've played with the new ratings I am seeing closer plays at first, more double play break-ups, and more runners taking extra bases. It works awesome in the minors where the speed ratings were generally lower.
If you use this, REMEMBER TO BACK UP YOUR ROSTER FILES in case you don't like what you get.
