-MLB Power Pros (ps2) is fantastic, and keeps getting better as I progress through the season. If only I could get the "arrange team mode" in season unlocked. Then I could make some classic type rosters. -Royals will finish around .500 in '08, even in that ***** of a division. -This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb is my current favorite band. Do your self a favor and check them out. http://www.noidearecords.com/mp3s/TBIAPB-JackJohnson.mp3 "Protest beyond the law is not a departure from democracy; it is absolutely essential to it." -Howard Zinn "I want to thank all the pitchers who couldn't go nine innings, and manager D1ck Howser who wouldn't let them go." -Dan Quisenberry after winning the 1982 Fireman Award -

The Kansas City Packers were a Federal League baseball club in Kansas City from 1914 to 1915. They finished sixth in 1914 with a 67-84 record, and fourth in 1915 with an 81-72 record. The Packers moved to Kansas City in July 1913 from Covington, Kentucky when the Federal League was an independent minor league. When the league declared itself major, the Packers’ first signing was of former St. Louis Browns manager, George Stovall, reportedly the first signing of a major league player in violation of his reserve clause. The Packers began their major league life on April 23, 1914 as the visiting team in the first game played in what is now known as Wrigley Field. George “Chief†Johnson was the Packers’ starting pitcher in that historic game, but was removed after two innings when served with an injunction from his former team, the Cincinnati Reds. The Packers’ home season ended early for them, when a flash flood that hit Kansas City after a heavy downpour knocked down the walls of the ballpark, Gordon and Koppel Field. The Packers finished on the road, and ended in sixth place, 20 games behind the pennant-wining Indianapolis Hoosiers. During the 1914-1915 off-season, the Federal League tried to move the franchise to Newark, New Jersey, but were prevented by injunctions by obtained by Kansas City management. The Packers went into spring training believing they would be playing in Newark, but last-minute negotiations led to the Indianapolis franchise being moved instead. In the course of the closest pennant race in major league history, the Packers led until late August before fading and finishing 4th, five and one-half games behind the first place Chicago Whales, and one-half game ahead of the fifth place Newark Peppers. Among the men who played for the Packers were Stovall, Bill Bradley, Johnny Rawlings, Chief Johnson, Ted Easterly and Nick Cullop, who won 22 games in 1915. -

"Ace152" comes from my pitching days, Im also known to use the forum name "Bonny". Mid 30's, I like beer, mexican food and my wife and kids. MVP 2005 and RBI Baseball are the best video games ever created. Still pitch a bit, but my fastball left me 2 seasons ago. I dig punk rock, Hip hop from mid 80's to mid 90's, golf, yelling and Kansas City Royals baseball. I won an MVP award in 2004 and even scored a plaque, which hangs in my garage. I love maps and breaking up double plays. Im also psychic. -
Butler is pretty much the Royals full time DH now. Sweeney is done.

-Im still enjoying Royals baseball, especially the past few weeks. -Currently 2-0 4.37 era this season. I have nearly nothing left in my arm and have had to rely on curves and sinkers in both my starts. The fastball is gone. POOF! Gone. But Im sitting at 99 career semipro wins, one more baby. -Speaking of babies, wife and I are getting ready for a third. -My internet is so slow. But living out in the sticks is kinda worth it. Except It takes days for me to DL anything. -

-have the first practice with my new team in Bham. I told my wife all winter that I was hanging up the spikes, but couldnt resist attending a new player workout/tryout last sunday. Ended up getting picked in the 1st round(5th overall). My arm is shredded however. Im fat too. -Calgary/Detroit should be VERY good tonight -The Thermals "The Body, The Blood, The Machine" has been in my truck CD player nearly non stop since its release last fall. GREAT ALBUM(if punk/indy stuff is your thing) -The "riser" is the most devastating pitch in the world of Wiffleball. Freaking unhittable. -

...MLB 07 The Show(PS2) is growing on me big time. Mostly thanks to the great pitching interface. The franchise bug still sucks. So does the lack of roster editing.(it can be done, but its a pain in the butt) With some creative slider tweaking, it plays pretty close to MVP. ...I've switched to bottled beer only. No more cans. ...Taking a year off from playing (real) baseball. This will be the first season Ive missed since I took a year off to coach legion ball in 1993. My legs and my shoulder can use a break. Plus Im going to be swamped at work this summer. Plus Im fat. ...Its supposed to be 89 here today. Not liking that much. ...Subscribed to DirecTV and the MLB Extra Innings package. Wired up a box in my garage. The wife and kids each get their own room in the new house, the garage is mine. Now I need to go buy a recliner and a little fridge. ...I wish there were more Royals on the Pic of the Day. ...I used to be a big hockey(Avalanche) and college football(CSU Rams) fan, but my interest has declined in recent years. Now its pretty much all baseball. -
nice file KG Good job on my Royals

I plan on losing 20 or so lbs before next baseball season. Id like to catch again, plus the extra weight(6'1", 245) the past 2 seasons has torn the crap out of my legs. My only dietary change thus far has been switching from coffee to hot tea in the morning. Baby steps. My wife saw me testing some rosters this morning and stated, "Baseball in the morning. Baseball at night . Baseball all summer. Baseball, baseball baseball." I said, " Thats right woman." Gave her some sugar, slapped her behind and said, "Here's the card, go buy yourself something pretty." not really -
1. 4 seamer lo 80's 2.Curve/slurve depending on situation 3.Circle change 33, 6'1" 240 6-4 4.10 era this season Im over the hill, and I've had to change the way I pitch the past 2 years, losing 5mph or so on my fastball. Now I throw breaking stuff 70% of the time. Remember kids, stash some pine tar somewhere on your uni/glove. It will help your curve a ton. Just a little bit though, not gobs of it. Just enough to get your middle finger sticky for that one pitch.
