  1. Before I use this, what happens with the imported teams? Are they added to the game the way it does when you create new teams, or do they replace the existing teams? Also, do we have to create a new league before importing teams?
  2. This is a really cool concept and I like the fact that the fictional players are true to the spirit of this game. However, I echo the feelings of the previous poster, there are a few countries where baseball is relatively popular that are not included in this. Taiwan (Chinese Taipei), Venezuela, or Nicaragua are a few examples. Those teams could replace countries where baseball isn't as popular, such as Hungary, Sweden or Switzerland. There are also territories like Aruba or Curacao that have produced a few major league players, in spite of having a very small population. Then again, I'm aware that there aren't 32 countries where baseball is one of the most popular sports so there will have to be weaker teams on that list but I think including the countries I mentioned would be a good start. That said, this is only a minor complaint because I think that, overall, you did a great job!
  3. What are some of the most improbable performances you've seen from a player in a baseball video game? Could be any game and it could be either a grossly underachieving player or an unexpectedly overachieveing one. For instance: I just completed a season (short, 52 games) in MLB2K12 (MLB2K15 mod) with the Padres and Craig Kimbrel couldn't get a batter out to save his life. He was so bad I could only get him into 12 games and he gave up 13 runs (10 earned) in 11 innings including something like 5 home runs. His WHIP was a tad over 2.00. He finished the year 0-4 with an 8.18 ERA, which is lower than his half-season mark that was over 10.00. He blew 5 saves in 11 opportunities and not even a 3-run lead was safe with him. I brought him in 2 or 3 times when I was ahead by 3 just to see him squander up the lead by giving up one hit after another and then a home run. It didn't even matter if I was playing or simulating the game. So, how about you guys? Has there ever been a player with superhuman ratings that didn't even look Major League caliber in a game you've played? Or some dude with minor-league ratings who played like an all-star?
  4. I've seen a couple of reprints at a card shop being sold for $5.
  5. I remember playing NHL04Rebuilt about 2 or 3 years ago and I just couldn't stand the players' stupidity, so much so that I ran back to NHL09. The puck would be right in front of my defenseman and he would just stand there and look at it until an opposing team's player skated all the way back from his own end to grab it and take a shot on my goalie. This happened practically every game...which is too bad because the other aspects of this game make it worth playing.
  6. Also make sure that the date you set is a day when there were games on the schedule for the 2012 MLB season. I believe days when no games were played (e.g. the All-Star break) would make the game crash as well. And, of course, the year has to be 2012.
  7. Not sure if I'm even allowed to complain given the quality of the work here but I'll do it anyway lol I see that the jersey numbers have been corrected in the last update but not the defensive positions and ratings, which causes certain players to play mostly their secondary positions in the game. Anyhow, here are 4 more corrections: Oakland Athletics: Mark Canha is a 1B/LF, not a RF Atlanta Braves: Matt Marksberry is #66 Milwaukee Brewers: Jason Rogers is mostly a 1B St. Louis Cardinals: Trevor Rosenthal is from the USA, not the Dominican Republic lol
  8. Have the new roster and portrait files been uploaded with the rest of the 2K15 files? I'm asking 'cause when I click Download, the files I see look like the same files as the original ones and there's no mention of any of them being updated recently or having different version numbers, etc.
  9. A couple more: Buffalo Bisons (Tor AAA): Darwin Barney is #18, Matt Hague is #23, Scott Copeland is #28 New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Tor AA): Andrew Albers is #67
  10. Sweet. Now this is what I've noticed so far...I should have more stuff to add as I play more games. Arkansas Travelers (Angels AA affiliate): Cal Towey's portrait in the game is Dusty Baker's lol. The number I see here is 8006 but I'm not sure if the error is with the portrait itself or the portrait number. Toronto Blue Jays: Ben Revere is #7, not #3, and he's been playing exclusively in LF since he came over to the Jays Ezequiel Carrera is #3, not #4 Chris Colabello should be listed as a 1B. He played about 50/50 at first and the outfield (mostly LF) this year but in the playoffs he only played 1B and he's a first baseman by trade. Ryan Goins' defensive ratings should be upgraded. His glove rating (83) and range (73) are underrated. I swear to God, this guy's one of the best defensive infielders I've ever seen. Kevin Pillar is mostly a CF, not LF. He can play all 3 outfield positions but he was the regular CF this year (142 games at CF). Like Goins, his defense is also underrated (glove 74, range 83). This guy gets to balls that you don't even think he has a chance on, and he was just nominated for a Gold Glove. New York Mets: Bartolo Colon is #40, not #41 Wilmer Flores is mostly a SS rather than a 2B Daniel Murphy...well, that's a little more complicated. He played 1B, 2B, 3B, though he seems to be mostly used at 2B with David Wright in the lineup. I'll post more when I can. Thanks for all your great work guys!
  11. Hey guys, as I posed in the comments section of the download page, I was just wondering where I can post corrections for the roster? I've noticed a few mistakes (wrong positions, numbers, portrait ID, etc.) but I'm not sure where to post them.
  12. Just played a game and everything looks amazing. Just a quick question though: Where can I post a list of corrections if I have spotted errors in the roster? (i.e. portraits, wrong numbers, positions, attributes out of line with actual skills, etc.) For example: Cal Towey (Arkansas Travelers, LA Angels AA affiliate) has Dusty Baker's portrait lol.
Amazing work from start to finish. Thanks!
  13. Also: Hou: Colby Rasmus and Preston Tucker are both LF (Rasmus has played all 3 OF positions this year but he's played more LF - 32 of his 47 appearances have been in left, since Jake Marisnick plays CF most of the time)
  14. There's not too many corrections to be made, most of the stuff is spot on. It's mostly a few jersey numbers and what not...but those matter to me Donnie Veal (Atl) and David Goforth (Mil) are both #32. NH (Tor): Ramon Santiago is #9, Chris Dickerson is #33 and Daric Barton is #37 (if you go by numbers worn in training camp)
  15. A few corrections: LAA: I believe Grant Green is primarily an IF (although he's a utility player so he plays all over the place anyway) Buf (Tor): Devon Travis wears #29, not #26 I'll post more if I find anything
  16. Hi guys, Not sure if that has been mentioned before but I just wanted to point out that there are a few issues regarding the Marlins' uniforms in the mod. First of all, the default home and away uniforms are the older unis (black/teal/silver) and the new uniforms are in the place of the alternate uniforms (third and fourth slots, or c and d). Also, at least with the new uniforms, numbers 2 and 3 are inverted, as are numbers 6 and 7. What this means is if a player has a 6 in his jersey number, the number on his uniform will show up as a 7 instead or vice-versa, and the same with numbers 2 and 3. For instance, Giancarlo Stanton wears #27 but in the game it shows up as #36 on the back of his uniform. Or a few more examples: Justin Ruggiano (#20 shows up as #30), Donovan Solano (#17 shows up as #16), Dan Jennings (#43 shows up as #42) and so on.
  17. Besides...should I still use this thread for corrections or is there a new one for the roster in MVP13?
  18. Yep, you're right, I was able to start a season with no issues earlier today. I had made a few changes to the rosters before starting the last one so I suspect that might have been the cause.
  19. I installed MVP13 so I'll check this out and see if it still crashes, hopefully not. By the way,. here's another correction: -Melky Cabrera's speed should be way less than 82. He's slow as molasses...probably one of the slowest baserunners I've ever seen
  20. Has anyone successfully played a season with the rosters? Whenever I start a season, I get a message saying MVP2005 stopped working right before playing my first game. I assume it isn't any of the game files because I can start an exhibition game using the same setup (same stadium, uniforms, etc.). Are there any known issues with season play? Thanks to anyone who can help!
  21. No problem. I'll probably find some more eventually. Here are a few corrections (most of which involve recently moved players): -Henry Blanco (SEA) is #33 -Scott Feldman (BAL) is #34 -Kevin Gausman (BAL) is mostly a SP (5 of his 9 games pitched this year are starts (although the last 4 were in relief) and 9 of his 10 appearances in AAA are starts) -Brian Bogusevic (CHC) is #47 -Matt Guerrier (CHC) is #51 -Pedro Strop (CHC) is #46 -Ryan Sweeney (CHC) is #6 -Not sure if you want to make him a SP but Carlos Villanueva (CHC) has 10 starts and 16 relief appearances this season. He was recently moved back into the rotation. -Edgar Gonzalez (HOU) is #31
  22. Yes that's a good idea. Either a middle initial or the player's team would help telling them apart. BTW, I noticed the following players had different photo IDs in your roster and on the ID list: -Preston Claiborne (NYY) -Yoshinori Tateyama (Round Rock, TEX AAA, now plays for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, NYY AAA) -Jose Pirela (Trenton, NYY AA) -Justin Henry (Pawtucket, BOS AAA) -Jose Valdez (OKC, HOU AAA) (there are three players named Jose Valdez but this one actually has a middle initial on the ID list and it's the only one that matches his name) There are probably others but those are the ones I could notice so far.
  23. Are you sure? The one with photo ID 1034 also has face number 423, which matches Cruz's face number in the roster. Also, a similar situation exists with Justin Miller, a pitcher in the Texas Rangers organization. There are three players named Justin Miller on the player ID list but there's no way to tell them apart since the list only has the name and photo ID of the player. There are 3 players currently in the minor leagues named Justin Miller, another one who last played in 2011 as well as the former Major Leaguer who also last played professionally in 2011 (and sadly passed away two weeks ago). That makes it rather confusing.
  24. I'm a little strapped for time but I won't say no. What exactly would you need? Here are two more: -Joakim Soria (TEX) is #28 -Nelson Cruz (TEX) has photo ID 3266 in the roster. There are two players named Nelson Cruz on the Player ID list; one has photo ID 1034 and the other has 3266. I'm not sure which one is right. The only other Nelson Cruz who played in the Majors was a pitcher who played from 1997 until 2003 and none of the two were originally in MVP 2005, although the Texas outfielder made his MLB debut in 2005 so he MAY have been included in a roster update back then but I don't have those files anymore so I can't look up his photo ID. Perhaps it's just an instance of having accidentally made two entries for the same player.
