  1. True, although Gattis did play a substantial number of games in LF last year, albeit mostly in AA
  2. Thanks for the link. A few more: -Austin Romine (NYY) is #53 -Evan Gattis' (Atl) second position should be LF or OF since he's played 11 games in left this year. He aslo played 3 at first base. -Gerald Laird (Atl) is #11 (in the roster, he's in AAA and wears #6)
  3. A few more: -Yoshinori Tateyama (Round Rock, TEX AAA) was traded to the Yankees and is now with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (AAA) -Lyle Overbay (NYY) is #55 -You probably already know but Luis Cruz (FA) is now with the Yankees (he wears #61)
  4. Some guys end up on a certain squad because of earlier indicated assignments and sometimes just the way the limited amount of room available. Right, that's what I thought...although perhaps guys who have played in the Majors should be at least in AAA. I'll look out for that list...is it somewhere in the Downloads section?
  5. One more thing: I noticed some of the photo IDs in your roster were different from the roster in the MVP12 mod. For instance: Jose Valdez (Houston) is 6856 in MVP12 and 3188 in your roster. Which numbers are the correct ones? (from the master ID list) Is it possible that some players had their number changed since MVP12?
  6. Great! I'll start with the Blue Jays then, and I'll post more whenever I find them: -Emilio Bonifacio's second position should be either OF or UTIL rather than CF (he's played all over the outfield this year and was also playing 3B and SS as well until 2011) -Brett Cecil is exclusively a reliever now. His stamina should also be adjusted accordingly (44.2 IP in 39 appearances) -Kyle Drabek has been out since last year with Tommy John surgery -Maicer Izturis' second position should be IF rather than SS (he plays 2B, 3B and SS) -Munenori Kawasaki is #66 and his second position is 2B, not 3B -Josh Thole is #30 Buffalo (AAA): -Miguel Batista was released by the Blue Jays in May and has signed a minor-league contract with Colorado 2 weeks ago -Mark DeRosa is a 3B and has also played 2B and 1B this year but not the outfield. He should also be on the active roster rather than in AAA. -Ramon Hernandez was released yesterday -Dustin McGowan has pitched in relief this year and it appears the Jays will keep him there -Chien-Ming Wang is #50 for Buffalo (or #67 for Toronto) -Mickey Storey is a reliever (he was never a starter) -Alex Hinshaw was released in May and plays for the Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League (independent) New Hampshire (AA): -Neil Wagner should be at least in AAA (he pitched in AAA and MLB this season) Dunedin (A): -Michael Schwimer is a reliever (he was never a starter) -A.J. Jimenez appears as a reliever, for some reason, but he's actually a catcher Other teams: Detroit: -Matt Tuiasosopo is #18 New York Mets: -Juan Lagares is #12 Philadelphia: -J.C. Ramirez has been a reliever since last year San Francisco: -Tony Abreu is #10
  7. That's exactly what I was going to do (renaming portrait files). I've done quite a bit of hex editing before so yes, I'm comfortable doing that but what exactly has to be edited? Is it only the values that match the file name at the beginning and the end of the file?
  8. So basically I can just rename the fsh file to whatever I want without having to change the reference numbers within the file? I'm asking because...I know NHL09 is different but if I renamed certain fsh files without changing anything within them, some stuff wouldn't show up in-game.
  9. If I need to rename an fsh (player photo) file to make it match the face ID in my roster, how should I go about it? I know you can't just rename the fsh file itself since it contains an image file with references pointing to it (sorry if my explanation is a little iffy). I know two of those references are at the beginning and at the end of the fsh file but are they the only thing that has to be modified? (e.g. the file 6583.fsh would have the text 6583 at the beginning and the end of the file) Can I just hex edit those values to match the new file name or is there another step that's involved? Thanks so much for your help!
  10. Hey, First of all, thanks so much for this, highly appreciated! Second, would this be the right place to post corrections to make this awesome roster even better?
  11. Are the minors also up to date? Also, are the PBP/photo numbers the same as the original MLB12 roster?
  12. As mentioned in another thread, I just noticed NYSEG Stadium (one of the minor league parks) is said to be in Binghampton, NY but the city's name is actually Binghamton (no "p").
  13. Huh, sorry! I guess I figured that thread was just to thank the people who worked on MVP12 :p
  14. Just thought I'd point out some of the mistakes I found in MVP12...I've only found one so far and it's fairly minor but anyhow: in the minor league stadiums, it says NYSEG Stadium is in Binghampton, NY but the city's name is actually Binghamton (no "p").
  15. I can think of one more thing: new minor league affiliations. For example, the Blue Jays and the Mets swapped AAA affiliates so the Las Vegas 51s are now the Mets' AAA affiliate and the Buffalo Bisons are the Blue Jays' affiliate.
  16. True...apparently it also fixed the lefty hitting bug and a few more things I couldn't remember. So I'll install it then :)
  17. By the way, does any of you remember what the patches did or fixed? There's very little information available out there and seemingly no "official" changelog or anything of the sort. All it says is patch 2 fixed online play issues and nothing is said about the subsequent patches other than they updated the rosters so I take it that's just what they are (roster updates). It's been a while since I played but I do remember the information contained within the roster files (the .dat files) was displayed in a different order after every patch. Did the game read those files differently after it was patched?
  18. Awesome, thanks! I'll do just that.
  19. I'm not sure if I should be asking this question here, lest I get flamed but...I couldn't find any information about this. Is an MVP 13 mod in the works? If so, what is the approximate ETA? I'm not trying to be insistent here but I was just debating whether I should install MVP 12 and then update some stuff (logos, uniforms, etc.) or wait a little bit longer and install a possible release of MVP 13 instead. Thanks so much for your help!
  20. Alright, I'm probably the only one here with this problem, but when I want to extract the data files from kgbaseball's last update into my database folder, I'm prompted to enter a password. What is it? I haven't seen any mention of this on the download page or anywhere else. Thanks!
  21. Royce Clayton is playing with the Red Sox (wearing #3).
