ABOUT THE UNIFORM

The Miami Marlins were a AAA minor league team in the International League. In 1956, Satchel Paige pitched with the team and wore this uniform. In 2012, the Florida Marlins are rebranding themselves as the Miami Marlins, so this uniform fits nicely and can be thought of as a concept as well. On the left sleeve is the old Miami Marlins logo that appeared throughout the 1950's.

Thank you for checking out my 1962-1973 New York Mets uniforms for MVP Baseball 2005. Included are three uniform sets, numbers and uniform select screens.

There are two versions of this uniform. The TC10 version is specific to the Total Classics Phase 10 mod, while the MVP 05 version is specific to any standard MVP 05 install.

The TC 10 version updates the uniforms for the 1962, 1969, and 1973 Mets. The slightly different 1969 version includes the "100th Anniversary" patch worn by all teams.

The TC10 version will be available under the three New York Mets slots and the MVP 05 version will be available under New York Mets alternate slots (28l-m).

If you want the uniforms in another slot instead, just unzip the files and rename the .fsh images to whatever slot you like.

ABOUT THE UNIFORMS

1962

The 1962 expansion Mets have the dubious distinction of having the most losses of any team in the "modern" era. They finished 40-120, and no pitcher on their team had a winning record. Richie Ashburn was the team's lone all-star, hitting .306 in his final season.

1969

The "Miracle Mets" relied on young talent to reverse their fortunes of a previous decade of futility. Led by Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman and a young fireballer named Nolan Ryan, the Mets shocked the baseball world by winning the pennant with a record of 100-62 and the world series over the heavily favored Baltimore Orioles.

1973

The Mets rallied from last place at the end of August to capture the NL East title and defeat the Cincinnati Reds to reach the World Series. In the fall classic, they lost to the Oakland Athletics in 7 games. Willie Mays played the final games of his career on this Mets team.

ABOUT THE UNIFORM

The 1961 Reds seemingly came out of nowhere to go 93-61 and capture the National League pennant in the very last 154 game season. Outfielder Frank Robinson was the NL MVP and pitchers Jim O'Toole, Joey Jay, and Bob Purkey all had career years, with Jay garnering 21 wins. Unfortunately for Cincinnati fans, the Reds were overmatched and lost the World Series in 5 games. The Reds wouldn't win another pennant until 1970.

Only a year removed from expansion, the Angels finished in third with a 86-76 record. Rule 5 draftee Bo Belinsky threw the teams' first no-hitter on May 5, and in today's wild card era, this Angels team would have certainly made the playoffs. Other notable players included Leon "Daddy Wags" Wagner, Ryne Duren, and Jim Fregosi. This uniform features the famous "silver halo" that the Angels wore on their hats for several years.

ABOUT THE UNIFORM

The beginnings of the Big Red Machine were in 1970. Riverfront Stadium opened in June, Sparky Anderson was in the the first year of a hall of fame career, and the groundwork was beginning to be laid for a decade of dominance in Cincinnati. Catcher Johnny Bench was the NL MVP this year, slugging 45 home runs and 148 RBI. The Reds went on to lose the world series to the Baltimore Orioles in 5 games.

ABOUT THE UNIFORM

The 1948 Cleveland Indians were one of the greatest teams in baseball history. Stars Bob Feller, Bob Lemon, Larry Doby, Joe Gordon, Lou Boudreau and a 42 year old rookie named Satchel Paige all ended up in the baseball hall of fame. The Indians won the world series in
6 games in the first fall classic to be nationally televised.

ABOUT THE UNIFORM

The Cincinnati Tigers were founding members of the Negro American League in 1937. They played their home games at Crosley Field when the Reds were out of town. If this particular uniform looks familiar, it is because the Tigers wore the hand me down uniforms from the Reds. Famous players for the Tigers included Ted "Double-Duty" Radcliffe and Porter Moss.

ABOUT THE UNIFORM

The Padres unveiled these uniforms in January of 2011 and will use these for Sunday home games and occasional alternates. The digital camoflage pattern is based on the same pattern that the United States Marines wear. Many see it as nice upgrade from the previous green military themed uniforms San Diego wore in previous years, as it looks closer to modern and current military styles.

About this Uniform:

This uniform was worn in the 1984 movie classic "The Natural" starring Robert Redford as Roy Hobbs. You may not shatter any light posts or knock the cover off the ball in the game, but you can at least look the part! On the left sleeve is the "Baseball Centennial" patch that all teams wore in 1939, and on the right sleeve is the "Wonderboy" lightning patch seen in the movie.

The Black Barons were perhaps the most popular and successful of the southern Negro League teams. This uniform is from 1948, when a young kid named Willie Mays was a rookie with the team. The patch on the left sleeve is the "Triple B" patch that they wore for this season.

ABOUT THE UNIFORM

The St. Paul Gophers were one of the premier barnstorming teams in the deadball era. The 1909 team defeated the Leland Giants, considered the country's most powerful Negro League team at the time. The Minnesota Twins have worn this uniform several times in the past few years, most recently in August 2010.

ABOUT THE UNIFORM

The Kansas City Monarchs were easily the most successful and popular franchise of the Negro Leagues. This particular uniform is from 1942, when Satchel Paige was with the team and still in his prime. To this day, this uniform is among the most popular and recognizable in all of baseball history. On the left sleeve is the "Heart of America" patch that the Monarchs wore for the 1942 season.

-You will need kraw's Total Installer Thingy (TiT), which you can get here (you may have to register first):

-The rest is self explanatory, just install the .RAR file named "INSTALL ME" using TiT, and you are done!

-As usual, remember to back up your files before installing!

Thank you for checking out my humble attempt at the 1938 Atlanta Black Crackers home uniform for MVP Baseball 2005. Included is a uniform set for the Atlanta Black Crackers, an old Negro League team. Numbers and a uniform select screen are included as well. This uniform will be available under the Atlanta Braves ("26l" slot) and will work with MVP 08 and Thespungo's 2010 uniform releases without overwriting anything.

INSTALLATION
