I just re-released the roster with the corrections from above included. There are still lots of incorrect portrait ID's throughout the minors if you use ScottyBilly's micro portrait pack... but no one has a duplicate portrait ID number at this point meaning the modders can now create a portrait release with accurate portraits for every player if someone chooses to do so.
-
I did not update the shorter season schedule since there is no "true life" short season schedule to update them for. To have the correct 2015 schedule you need to have 162 games selected.

Thanks. Let me know of any other errors that you find. I did a bunch of the editing at very late hours, so I am sure there are to be a few more. I tried to comb over everything before the release and knew the portraits still needed work. I will get those all cleaned up by tonight and re-release a final version.

I use Scottbilly's latest micro portrait pack that he released via the forum. I will go through the portraits at some point today to make sure there aren't any players sharing the same portrait ID and re-release. Then I will leave it up to others to release a portrait pack that is compatible for these rosters. His micro portrait pack works for now but lots of incorrect portraits exist throughout the minor leagues.

Thanks. I am planning on fixing some portrait id's and cyberface id's and re-releasing another one at some point today. I have seen this happen with all rosters.. including the default 2K roster. It has only happened to me twice but it happens to my brother every 20 or 30 games on his PC. Just restart the game and everything should be fine. I just played my first franchise game as the Braves against the Marlins and everything was normal.

ROSTER UPDATE: I apologize for the delay. Found some errors last night that took way more time to fix than originally thought...not to mention the last minute opening day transactions...lol I am currently setting the batting orders and pitching rotations and will go through the 25 man roster for missing cyberfaces and portraits next and I will release. I will still have to update all new cyberfaces or portrait id's outside of the 25 man rosters for a later release.

I have yet to get a franchise to start in 2015 without it crashing but have gotten very close(still working on this)...however with the new roster and the correct 2015 schedule I don't think the year being 2015 in game is a big deal since my new roster has taken into account the 3 years off for players peak ages. The other good news is the roster does have player stats updated through the 2014 season so as you play a franchise the career stats will accumulate accurately. Patience...I have been working almost 3 days straight to get everything ready for this release. I do have to do Easter with the family so that will delay the release until sometime late tonight or early tomorrow morning. But I am very very close...and i promise it will be worth the wait.

You edit schedules using Vlad's REDitor II roster editor.

There has yet to be a roster released with the 2015 schedule in it. My opening day roster release will have the updated 2015 schedule. 5 more days...

This is an area that could definitely use a refresh. Would love to see if we can edit the color choices for things like accessories. Would love to find a way replace some of the terrible color selections for accessories in game with others like chartreuse or a true black option to be able to match realistic gear more closely. Roster Update: I just wanted to let everyone know that I have now completed 29 of the 30 organizations player ratings! I have only one more to go (FYI-each organization takes about 4 hours to rate) and will hopefully be able to finish it tomorrow night. Player ratings are something that take an enormous amount of time and discipline, so anyone who has attempted this feat understands why the rest of this roster is all downhill from here. Once I have finished the ratings I will begin doing far less time consuming edits to bring the roster together. I plan on spending nearly every hour of my free time between now and opening day finishing updates for things like player contracts, cyber-face updates, and creating new prospects while cleaning up the minor leagues for each team as well. So while there is still plenty of work to be done... it is nothing compared the time already spent in creating the 2015 schedule, updating all active player stats through the 2014 season, or rating every player on an active roster or IR. I have worked pretty much the entire off season to get to this point and am as excited as anyone to get this project finished. This has easily been the most work I have ever put into any roster or project I have ever worked on to date. With that, I am happy to announce (barring some crazy hiccup or life event getting in the way) this roster will be ready for release as planned on opening day. I plan on having a version ready to go no later than 8PM est time on Sunday April 5th. At that point I will encourage as many who can test it, to look through the roster for any glaring errors or issues. I will attempt to work through that night if need be to address any issues or concerns. This will allow me to release one final updated version on Monday morning April 6th with competed line-ups and rotations to match each and every MLB team. Then... it's play ball for the rest of the week while I am on vacation!!!!!! Cheers! -Bsu-Fan

It should work in theory but there are many things that come into play. What teams specifically are you referring to?
-
This means you have more than 25 men on the roster. The games coding only allows for 25 cyber faces to load in each game for each team. If you look at his face in the "edit player" menu in game it will be correct. To fix this you need to make sure there is no more than 25 men on a roster. I don't exactly know how they choose which 25 player faces they load once you start a game but for example...if you have 27 players on an MLB roster 2 of them will have generic cyberfaces in the game while playing it even with the correct files and face number for each player.

Mlb 2K15 Total Mod Cover...what Do You Think?
BSU-FAN replied to raidersbball20's topic in Mod Previews
If you want to give me a list of portrait ID's for players missing that you have added in or ones you have changed... I will be sure to put those into my roster so that they are fully compatible and ready to go upon release. Just an idea...or we can wait and deal with it once I have released the roster. I already plan on going through and updating all cyber-face ID's to be compatible with all of your recent cyber faces released so it would be easy to update the portrait ID's at that time. That way others will only have to download the faces and not have to change the cyber face Id's or skin tones using the editor. Much more "plug and play" friendly for everyone. -
As soon as I have everything cleaned up I will release a version prior to opening day for some feedback and beta testing, but it probably wont be until sometime next week. I still have 7 organizations remaining for rating edits. Once those are done I can move on to the final details and the rest is downhill from there. It has been one long off season for edits. The good news is I spent lots of extra time optimizing rosters so that they mirror real life depth charts and the AI will keep players in there correct defensive positions even after an injury or roster change.
-
A few additional thoughts I think are important. Be careful for stats that are anomalies due to injury or some other freak reason. I watch out for these because they can cause some ratings to be off by a fairly large scale. Also...i use things like gold glove awards, all star awards, etc. to influence the scale of specific ratings if I feel it is justified. This means an all star who hits .300+ every year for many seasons will get a scale "5" points higher than an everyday MLB starter in his contact ratings.
-
My rating system is very lengthy, complex, and fairly hard to explain without spending several hours listing every single scale out with an explanation. However my system basically assigns a scale to each area of skill based on actual player stats. While I don't have the time right now to list every single scale I have created for ratings, a basic break down for rating hitters/position players looks something like this: All player rating scales directly correspond to real life stats. However, where that scale starts and ends depends on several things such as: whether the player is an every day MLB starter, MLB back-up, MLB rookie, AAA starter, AAA bench player, AA Starter, and sew on. Here is an example of how I come up with contact and power ratings for players: Contact rating: A .250 batting average for an everyday MLB starter equals a contact rating of "75" with each rating point representing .005 batting average. That means a player who hits .260 will have a contact rating of "77". A player who has a .265 batting average will have a contact rating of "78" and player who hits .300 will have a contact rating of "85". In turn an everyday MLB starter who is hitting .200 will have a contact rating of "65". I hope that makes sense? For me, I come up with those averages by looking at a players career batting average and then look at the players last 2 seasons batting average and then come up with an overall average of those 3 numbers. In turn that scale will move up or down by "5" or "10" rating points based on a whether that player is an everyday MLB starter, MLB bench player, MLB rookie, AAA Starter, AAA bench player, etc, etc, etc... I use a very similar method when assigning player ratings to areas such as doubles, triples, or home runs. Power Ratings for home runs and doubles for MLB starters begins at 50 and I give away 1 rating point for every homerun they average in 500 at bats. So here an example of how that works. A player that averages 22 home runs in 500 AB's will have a power rating of "72" and a MLB starter that averages 10 home runs in 500 AB's will have a power rating of "60". Again that scales goes down by "5", "10", "15", or "20" depending on which scale the player falls in(sometimes they fall between scales). So a AAA starter will begin his power rating at a "40" and will go up one rating point for every home run that player averages in 500 AB's. Again, I use the players last two years home run stats averaged out with there career numbers to come up with my rating number. So in review...Basically I am creating a scale for every single rating and I correspond those numbers to the stat that makes the most sense. For example: I come up with a players "Batters Eye" rating by combining the players on base percentage with the total number of walks they average in 500 ABs. I have created a scale for pretty much every single rating including tendencies as I have noticed the tendencies play heavily into a players in game stats when simming or playing a game. I hope this wasn't to confusing as I tried to sum it up as best I could without spending several more hours just typing my system out completely. Now I am headed back to continue on with the player ratings for my roster that will be released before or on opening day. Good luck! I hope this helps and that I didn't confuse you more than you already were.

As far as them stealing my work goes they are actually using my screen name in the roster file which is one of my only requests when releasing any versions of my older work. I figure there is very little control we have over this and for me...I have more important matters to deal with then some Korean stealing my work. Others may take a bigger issue with it, however I do appreciate the awareness and concern from admins here though...so thank you.

Honestly I'm not sure who it is. We dealt with this problem once before and had very little success coming to any resolution mostly due to language and communication barriers. My guess is that it is the user DomoeYusa or one of his friends. That is just a guess...they seem to have a strong bias for Asian players if you look at their mods or rosters. Lol
