Yeah, you know Bridgette...I play the newer NBA 2K14 too, with the great PC graphic enhancements and then I'll play a NBA 2K12 game and there are very, very little differences with the graphics. Lately I've been playing the NBA 2K12 with UBR rosters and the current season more than NBA 2K14. I also discovered that you can use those hi-res 2K14 floors and drop them into 2K12...looks awesome!

Hey thanks daflyboys...I plan on compiling a few more highlight videos with the old and new NBA 2K game and setting them to period correct music. I still love NBA 2K12 because you can easily save the entire game highlights reel (which they took out in NBA 2K13 & 14). And you know, I don't think IP-2-IP is possible with the game any longer...mainly because of the "dead lobby" issue.

That's pretty impressive Bridgette...I'm definitely not up to that level in modding NBA 2K12. I still have a hard time trying to use the proper letter/number fonts with these uniforms...some of them you can edit and re-color and some of them are hard-coded and black & white only.

Bctrackboi11 (John) was a HUGE influence to me when I was working on my Negro League mod. Back when I first met him a couple of years ago; we traded some of our ideas about making uniforms for a league that had very little information and usable photos concerning their uniforms. John truly came up with a lot of the alternative ideas about making uniforms for these teams which in turn forced me to take a different approach and use more creative ideas. I was happy with my uniforms for the Negro League mod but John shared with me a set he made for a future project of his and I enjoy his Negro League uniforms much more than mine. The previews of his and rroy’s superb work on their NCAA project are a testament to his expert skills.

I am definitely looking forward to this Griz...I've always liked the way you did your dynasties/seasons. I still remember you 2K Royals season from a couple of years ago and it was nicely done. Good luck to you!

Hey Homer, I've actually had a lot of luck with this program: http://www.stellarinfo.com/jpeg-repair.php I've been using it for about a year and have had a surprisingly good success rate. Of course, these things don't work 100% of the time; but your chances are certainly improved. The good thing is that this software is pretty cheap too (about $40). It fixes JPEG photos however and not RAW photo files if you take the RAW/JPEG combos on certain cameras.

Yeah, I actually got jealous because you're the Opening Day Starter and I'm 2nd starter who also gave up a HR to BJ Upton. LMAO! Seriously, I just happened upon this problem and I used to do digital photo editing and recovery for quite a few years and have seen the craziest issues with this stuff.
-
Hey Bridgette, I guess the most basic way to explain your issue is that all files (photos, music, videos) can potentially get corrupted when they are stored on flash memory devices like phones and tablets; but it can even happen on traditional (mechanical) hard drive. For example, I had a movie I had ripped from my blu-ray and had it saved as an MP4 and had it stored on an external hard drive...after awhile the movies inexplicably had parts where digital artifacts started showing up at certain points in the film. This can also happen to photos, especially when you are trying to transfer them to another device or computer. Your photo(s) might be able to be saved...I have a boatload of of photo-editing tools that I've used for years that might do the trick and you can PM a photo for me to try the save, if that's cool with you.

Hey, I scrolled down a little and found this one too...

LOL! Ah, I'm totally joking around of course...besides, far be it for me to anger the original Bond, James Bond and our opening day starter.

Hey wait a minute Y4L...I zoomed in on some of your icon pics and found these. You have some explaining to do...

Minor League Unifrom Slots Causing Game To Crash
dennisjames71 replied to rroy0824's topic in Support
Yeah, that's what I figured Homer; that it might simply be a "case-by-case basis" when unlocking the minor league slots. Just because Reading had 'normal' fitting slots throughout...that wouldn't necessarily mean that the Jacksonville Suns will have 'classic tight' in their I&J slots. Good point. And I tell you, I thank you every single day I make uniforms for creating that spreadsheet...that's been probably the most invaluable tool in the entire process. -
Minor League Unifrom Slots Causing Game To Crash

Hey no problem rroy…I am certainly glad to help. I am sure that my method of doing this might not be the most efficient but the bottomline is that it works for me and most of all, it works. Now the only thing I am not sure of is if the Minor League slots tend to retain the “hard-coded” attributes of the MLB ones. You know how slots G&H are usually ‘baggy classic’ and I&J is usually ‘classic tight’? I’ve been using Homer’s uniform slot spreadsheet for years and it’s not noted (for good reason, I wouldn’t want to go through and confirm these for 120 teams at all). If I remember correctly, I don’t really think those slots in the minor leagues had that strict of a hard-coding scheme. For example, I last used this same method this spring when I noticed the Reading Fightin’ Phils came out with about a dozen uniform combinations (for their re-branding). So I used my “import the Indians” method to open up all the slots and made every Fightin’ Phils uniform (I know, I need help, LOL!) and when I checked them in those G&H / I&J slots, they were in the modern fit style. I guess ultimately, this matters little, since our goal is to at least make the ‘hidden’ slots active and available. Because if it’s hard-coded, it’s hard-coded and we are kinda limited in that regard. -
Minor League Unifrom Slots Causing Game To Crash

Hey brudda, so I got everything working with both slots (#81 & #118). I don't know if the way I do this is the fastest or easiest, but I know that it always works for me. So, what I do is use all of the Cleveland Indians uniforms, fonts, and uniform select components, I "rename" them and then plug them into whatever slot I want. What this will do is plug in all 14 Indians uniforms into the slot PLUS it effectively "opens up" these slots. From there you can simply add your uniforms and fill them up with your new uniforms and they work fine. All you would have to do is this: (1) Use BigGui and open up the data/frontend/uniforms.big file. Now find the slot you want to replace (we'll use #81 as an example). (2) Delete EVERY instance/.fsh files of "81". This means 081.fsh, 081a.fsh, 081b.fsh, et al. (3) Now open the data/models.big files with BigGui and we want to delete ALL font and uniform files related to slot #81. This means f081.fsh.....and the u081.fsh files...... (4) Finally, just close BigGui and install the two ZIP files I have for you with TiT. *each of these ZIP files contain the "plug-in" of Indians uniforms for slots #81 & #118. Again, this means they will plug in the uniform select, fonts, and actual uniform files into these slots. Then you're free to install your new uniforms and everything lines up fine. I double-checked both these teams with their "new" Indians uniforms and tried many of the uniforms (throwbacks, modern, spring training) and they all work with no crashing. I hope this made sense and I'll be glad to answer further questions if you have any problems. _81 Mega-Pack Uniforms.zip _118 Mega-Pack Uniforms.zip -
Minor League Unifrom Slots Causing Game To Crash
dennisjames71 replied to rroy0824's topic in Support
Good news rroy, I opened up 14 uniform slots for "slot #81" and they work just fine. I'm gonna fix slot #118 and what I'll do is post my "fix-it" ZIP files for each slot and some simple instructions so that you can get these slots opened up and just insert your own uniforms and uniform select screens as you like. -

Minor League Unifrom Slots Causing Game To Crash
dennisjames71 replied to rroy0824's topic in Support
Hey rroy, In addition to trying to add the actual uniform slots to M, N, and O...are you also adding them to the Uniform Select sections to? What I mean by that is the data/frontend/uniforms section. If those do not correspond properly, you'll get crashes. Can you tell me when do you get the crash? When you are picking uniforms or does the game actually attempt to start? Also, can you tell me which minor league uniform slot you are having problems with? I'm confident I can get this fixed for you. With a lot of my custom installs, I have added a whole bunch of uniform slots into many minor league slots. Dennis -
That's cool...I added you on Messenger and sent the request.

controller.cfg for XBOX controllers (for MVP on the PC)
dennisjames71 replied to krawhitham's topic in Support
Don't mean to butt-in here but are you able to get your X-Box 360 controller with your computer? Or are you having problems with the controller/CONFIG file in the MVP Baseball game? If it's the latter problem, I could probably just send you my CONFIG file that I use with the same controller.
