Reviews / Members Asking Support Questions.....
dennisjames71 replied to Gordo's topic in MVP Baseball 2005
This is an excellent idea daflyboys and I like the idea of organizing the support questions separate from the other threads. I also agree with you and Y4L, that it is ridiculous that the majority of downloaders have the inability to click a mouse button, as a way to say thanks for the work we do. It's just one-click people.... -
This one was nice. Marlins @ Pirates. Tied 3-3 in the bottom of the 11th, I have a guy on 3rd with no outs. Heath Bell decides to walk 2 guys to load the bases and Pedro Alvarez comes up. The video explains the rest. I love how Alvarez nearly hits the Budweiser “Walk-Off A Hero” sign on the outfield wall. How appropriate…

I hear ya Don, I was in the same position as you where I could not find definitve images of those ads. I also poured over countless flickr and photbuckets pics from this season. I basically just sent KC over my Wrigley Field in which the only updates from my March version, was the update to all of the numerous State Farm ads (mostly in the dugout area. That's all I could really come up with for now at least. -Dennis

Hey daflyboys, I had crashes with that stadium when I BETA tested. I dropped this datafile into my /data folder and it works fine for me. Let me know how it works for you. -Dennis aa03nite.zip

Hey Laro, Hey, I’m sorry you are having problems with those….the only 2 possibilities that would make the crowd not appear would be: (1) if you accidentally renamed the stadiums to anything other than “venuday” or “venunite” or (2) if you didn’t properly load the Owner Mode file (either Yankee, Marlins, or Twins) when you select the stadium. You might want to double-check these items to see if the problem is there. If you are still having problems, I’ll be more than happy to help you further. Best of luck, Dennis

Hey daflyboys, Hey good eye with catching my YouTUbe video. Yeah, I based these MLB logos off of the TBS template/logos posted here a couple years ago. I basically went through and re-made the logos based on that design template at the beginning of the year. Yeah, feel free to use these in your game...but I only did them for the 30 Major League teams. Just install the ZIP file with TiT. -Dennis Dennis MVP12 LOGOS.zip

Awesome information Jim. I am glad that I stand corrected and it's good news that we can make these changes to improve the look in these Classic Stadium slots. Thank you for your wealth of knowledge! :clapping:
-
The issue you are experiencing here is indicative of the hard-coding within some of the Classic Stadium slots. There are certain classic stadium slots that fully expect an âoldâ stadium to be there (like Shibe Park or the Polo Grounds for example) and they will have the old looking score and pitch select overlay by default (thereâs no way to change that AFAIK). Also I have tried to put âmodernâ stadiums in these slots and because of datafile issues; you will experience some of the graphics glitches or the notorious âMissing Textureâ anomaly like in your screenshot. Unfortunately, I do not know of a workaround and it would only affect a small number of these classic stadium slots.

Probably the only ones who would care about this minor update would be Y4L and Jim. LOL! But here are some slight updates to the Home & Road uniform for the Yankees. The change is with the switch to the navy and grey colored MLB logo on the back collar area of the jerseys. Just install with TiT. (Only the uniform files are included, the font files were not necessary) -Dennis -

Awesome idea!! I love it! I'll get some stuff up here soon. :good:

These were not “missed” at all, because they were not intended to be in MVP 12. There was simply no possibility for us to include every single throwback uniform for this season in the mod. Especially since these uniforms were just worn about a week ago.

CAS Stadium Tutorial I thought I would write a simple tutorial for those of you who want to utilize the (3) CAS (Create-A-Stadiums) I had made to represent Target Field, Yankee Stadium, and Marlins Park. You can easily “rotate” these stadiums into your existing game, such as the newly released MVP 12. After downloading each of these stadiums (in the stadiums download section)…you would first copy the included OWNER files into your /documents/MVP Baseball 2005 folder. Each of these owner files are titled “TWINS”, “YANKEE”, and “MARLINS”. I made a folder called “CAS STADIUMS” and put it on my Desktop. Within that folder, I make sub-folders with the name of each CAS Stadium as you can see here: In each of these sub-folders are the Day and Night Stadiums for each. These are always titled “venuday” and “venunite”. You CANNOT RENAME these stadium files but you can copy each of the day/night stadiums from their respective folders and into the game. For example, if you want to use the CAS Yankee Stadium, simply copy both stadium files <see below> and overwrite into your /data/stadium folder. You can always have your stadium files stored here and overwrite whatever is in the game folder. You can use these stadiums in ANY Game Mode: Exhibition, Dynasty, or Owner Mode. When you are in the game, go ahead a scroll through the stadium selections and locate the one that precedes the Rangers (Ballpark in Arlington) Stadium and it will say “Create Ballpark” at the top <see below>. Click “Load Owner” and choose the team name related to the stadium you have placed into the game. In our example with Yankee Stadium; you would obviously click “Yankee” and then pick Day or Night and finally proceed into the game. I hope this information helps. -Dennis

LOL! Dude, who in the world could check 700+ uniforms? I totally missed these too but luckily I made them the first Sunday they wore them <certified uniform nerd>.

Hey Kyle, I had my Sunday Red White Sox jerseys in my dropbox, so here they are with the correct uniform slot for MVP 12. Dennis 2012 White Sox RED Throwbacks.zip

Kyle, You were a superb manager and facilitator in this huge project and it was a pleasure to work with you on this. I can definitely appreciate the ridiculous hard work it takes to compile/create something like this. You should be extremely proud of being our leader in this project and the great accomplishment. As I mentioned in our PMs, this game is 5-star, from top to bottom and I have truly enjoyed this for the past week. I especially love bctrackboi11’s great selection of throwback uniforms as well as the one’s he created. Excellent variety for sure. Later today I will post my small tutorial for users to “rotate” the (3)CAS Stadiums I made into MVP 12 is they wish to do so. Huge thanks to you Kyle and everyone involved with it!! Dennis

Man, thanks for showing me the "spoiler" tag code. I can't say I don't learn something from this site practically every day. And thanks again for re-booting this thread; it's great check out music selections that we either had forgotten or hadn't known about. :clapping:
-
@Y4L.....yes, G n R was a really good band and Slash is awesome...good stuff. :clapping:

@Rroy LOL! That spoiler alert is hilarious. I didn't know that feature was available on this site. Yeah, it’s totally cool to just not dig an artist because you can’t get into their music. I’m the same way with country music…I like almost all music except for that and I wouldn’t care how great or popular a certain country artist is <just sayin’>. I do take issue with the people who chirp loud that Hendrix was overrated…which just proves their utter ignorance and lack of knowledge of guitar playing as a whole. BTW that Chiddy Bang song is pretty catchy and cool…I heard it on MLB Network too. :good:
