Here is my ad replacement for the new Marlins Ballpark stadium. I am sure they are not accurate becuase I have not seen a lot of current footage of the new stadium yet. I used the ads from my Marlins Field (CAS) Stadium I made for MVP Baseball and created some of the ads such as the Majestic/jersey ad. As you may know, I typically cannot stand generic ads in the stadiums so I am using this for right now. Just copy the included .iff file into your main MLB 2k12 directory. This will replace the existing Marlins stadium. Enjoy!!
  4. Edtench, These uniforms are absolutely great. You obviously put a lot of hard work into these concept uniforms and most of all, you had the creative drive to design these basically from scratch. That’s one of the hardest things to master when creating anything original. I am having a blast trying out all of these different uniforms for the Reds. Excellent effort! :clapping:
  5. Hey Guys, If you want to, feel free to use these 2012 Stadiums for Toronto and San Diego where I made new logo updates. There are updated crowds, home run signs, and logos throughout the stadiums. You are more than welcome to use these in your excellent looking project. I can't wait until you can release this. -Dennis Padres & Blue Jays 2012 Stadiums.zip
  6. This is tremendous work. I love your game interface and the Uniform Select Screens look great. :good:
  7. Hey there, What you would have to do is REPLACE both the "Venuday" and "Venunite" stadium files into your /data/stadium folder. If you want to keep your orginal Create-A-Stadium files (the exisiting venu-stadiums); then simply copy them and keep them in another folder. It seems Windows is trying "keep both files" since it's trying to assign another number (the '2') after the file name. Copy the original 2 files into another folder and then delete them out of the /data/stadium folder. Then just copy the Marlins CAS files in. Remember to also copy the included Owner Files into your /MyDocuments/MVP Baseball 2005 folder too. Let me know if you are still having problems and we'll take care of them. -Dennis
  8. Great point Y4L. Hey did you notice on those SI Swimsuit slideshows that they have a "Where To Buy" button at the bottom? Like anybody cares where to buy and who designed these swimsuits. Ummmm...what swimsuits? I didn't really notice those were in the picture.
  9. Y4L, Great post about the SI Swimsuit painting....Although there are absolutely no wrong choices with this subject, I would like to volunteer to "paint" this one: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012_swimsuit/models/chrissy-teigen/12_chrissy-teigen_1.html
  10. Excellent, excellent post on the subject Veesmack. Your commentary and historical knowledge are dead on regarding these subtle (and not so subtle) racism issues in media/sports/entertainment. I definitely agree with your point that Jeremy Lin is also ‘destined’ to fail because of the unnatural expectations that are now piled on him. I am also not losing sleep over, if Lin ‘fails’ and doesn’t take the Knicks single-handedly into the NBA Finals; but I do root for him and I would like to see him do well. Being half-Asian/bi-racial myself, I find myself pulling some of these guys and gals to do well…but I root for any person who’s a dedicated guy and it’s nice to see any race succeed in endeavors of the American landscape regardless. It’s like certain people throughout history (and sports specifically) do have these wild expectations levied on them to be the sole determining factor of whether ‘their race’ can truly succeed in whatever they are doing. Jim Thorpe was a good example, as well as Jackie Robinson <obviously>, Roberto Clemente, and when speaking of Asians…Hideo Nomo was instrumental in opening the door to Asian/Japanese baseball players that followed. Unfortunately, the downside of these expectations, is that if these people ‘fail’ in the public’s eyes; then it sometimes becomes an unfair regression of sorts. In other words, if Jeremy Lin doesn’t turn into the second coming of Michael Jordan overnight…then what is the likelihood that Asian basketball players will be looked at in the same light all across the board. It has a lot to do with today’s society as well; where the “all-or-nothing”, polarizing attitudes are prevalent. Anyway, this was a great, thought-provoking post Veesmack.
  11. Thanks so much for your detailed and 5-star quality review Y4L. I honestly want to also thank you for pointing out some of my minor, yet glaring roster-based errors in your PM last week. After I saw my Tris Speaker mess-up especially, I should almost have my Classic baseball Fan Card taken away. LOL! But seriously I don't know how I made that error with the Willie Mays of the Dead-Ball era but as I mentioned in my PM, a lot of it had to do with burn-out at the end there. Forthcoming will be those changes as well as added player-audio for 80+ players, thanks to OTBJoel. I've working on re-assigning the audio Joel put together for me so that everyone can enjoy a nice Version 2.0 very soon. Thanks again Y4L.
  12. Thank you so much Dylan, the King of Schedules. Your hard work truly adds something to season and dynasty play for MVP Baseball. :clapping:

Thanks to Sal...I was made aware that the New York Yankees had a strange uniform combination in 1915 and 1916, using a RED "NY" logo on their caps for those 2 years. Here is a uniform update for their home uniforms with the red logo on the cap. Install the ZIP file into your Total Classics 1915 install with TiT. Enjoy!!

Here is Pseudo-Fantasy CAS Stadium for the possible San Jose Athletics, called “SAN JOSE PARK”. With the prospect of the Oakland Athletics franchise moving to San Jose; I figured I’d make a stadium for them to play in. I like this idea especially since the Oakland Coliseum is a horrible baseball stadium and even more so, since the Mt. Davis conversion that makes it look like a big, boring, bowl. * Athletics Crowd * New Home Run Sign * New ads that reflect the Atheltics in San Jose. You can also change the ‘behind-homeplate’ logo by going into Owner Mode and Ballpark Setup. Here’s what the 3 different logos correspond to: EA SPORTS LOGO = a gold “SJ” logo The BUZZ LOGO = a large “A’s” logo MVP BASEBALL LOGO = A “San Jose” script logo This is a CREATE-A-STADIUM, so you should simply copy the venuday & venunite files (DO NOT RENAME) into your data/stadium folder. Also you will need to use the included the "ATHLETICS" owner mode file. Place file into your My Documents/MVP Baseball 2005 folder. Load it when selecting the "Create-A-Stadium" and choose day or night to play in the stadium. Enjoy!!

Total Classics 1915 By dennisjames71 Deadball baseball is alive and well! In this Total Classics Mod, you can re-live the 1915 baseball season with many legendary stars from the early 20th Century in their prime years. Pitching definitely rules with Hall-Of-Famers like Pete Alexander chalking up 31 wins and Walter Johnson with 27. Home Runs in 1915 were at a premium with Gavvy Cravath of the Phillies hitting a Babe-Ruthian 24 HRs in the season (the largest total in the century up until that time). Speaking of the Babe; you’ll see him here in his first full season as a starting pitcher for the World Champion Boston Red Sox who faced the Phillies in the World Series. Another historical oddity that you’ll see here is legendary hitter Rogers Hornsby on the bench for the St. Louis Cardinals because he only played in 18 games as a green rookie in 1915. The 1915 Mod Includes: *Ground-up rebuild that introduces a games interface similar to the iconic 1915 Cracker Jack Baseball cards. *1915-era photos, loading screens, backgrounds, jukebox music, walk-up music. *The 16 Major League Teams plus a bonus Federal League team; the Chicago Whales who won the 1915 Federal League Championship. *2 Custom All-Star Teams (with 1915-esque uniforms) made up from the best players in each league. *All fireworks visuals, fireworks sounds, and siren sounds are removed when hitting a home run. *Full 154-game official 1915 schedule. *Modded 16 stadiums plus a modded Weeghman Park for the Chicago Whales team. *Created uniforms for all teams. The look of the 1915 Whales road uniforms is not officially known so I designed what I thought it could look like. *OTBJoel’s excellent Legends From the Booth audio mod with Vin, Ernie, and Mel calling the games. *In this initial version; there is not a lot of player audio; but there are player announcements for the star players of the era such as Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, Tris Speaker, Babe Ruth, and Joe Jackson, for example. Contributions and Thanks: bctrackboi11 for his great custom, old-time baseball and baseball bats of the era. Joe Jackson’s famous Black Betsy bat is part of his contributions too. Thank you also for creating the promo YouTube video earlier this year. Excellent work! OTBJoel for his iconic Legends From the Booth audio mod that automatically makes this (and any) game 2000 times better. Thank you also for creating the team names for the Brooklyn Robins and the Chicago Whales for me. DylanBradbury for his great work on creating a 1915 schedule to make the mod’s experience that much better. Also, a tremendous thank you for your superb batting/fielding/pitching calculators. This mod would not have been possible without those. I used these calculators for every single player and simmed 4 different seasons and many of the stats almost mirror the real-life results of the 1915 season. These calculators are scary-accurate. Special thanks always goes out to Jim825 and all members that have created past Total Classics mods. I can’t tell you guys what an inspiration your creations have been to motivate me and they are always a joy to play. There is always potential for improvements to my mod and they may be coming soon. Perhaps more player audio and the additional 7 Federal League teams may become a reality in later versions; but in the meantime enjoy this mod that captures a special era in baseball history. 16. Hey daflyboys, Actually this "Owner mode" thing is misleading...you CAN actually use this stadium in basic exhibition games and dynasty/franchise modes. I played most of my Rays 2010 dynasty in my CAS Tropicana Stadium last year. The only extra step that you have to do is to click "Load Owner" when you go to select your stadium (at the Create Ballpark select screen). The whole reason for the "Owner Mode" thing is that the stadium needed to be "created" in owner mode but the stadium can be used in any mode. Hope this info helps. Dennis
  17. When you get ot the following screen, make sure to click "Load Owner" and choose the "Marlins" owner file that should be in your my documents\mvp baseball 2005 folder. Good luck.

  20. I know what you mean...I literally had to do a coin flip to get the DiMaggio or the Mantle. If they keep this $100 special I may end up with both <crossing fingers>. At first I wanted a Babe Ruth but he wasn't available. Yeah, that Cardinals Maris jersey was sweet...I was on this website for about an hour before I made the purchase...cool stuff!
  21. I definitely agree...what a great deal for us historical baseball fans. I could not pass this up and had to order this one. You can't go wrong with the 1938/39 World's Fair patch and then some...
  22. Hey Y4L, If you apply the Dynasty Fix that Jim released or use the Version 3.0 of the mod; those sounds should be eliminated like they were in Version 1.0. Let me know if that works out and if not, I'll be more than happy to get this fixed for you. Dennis
  23. Hey there Y4L, It’s good to see you back and I thank you very much for providing this outstanding review of my project. It’s great to know that people you who appreciate the history of baseball and history in general have been able to readily pick out subtle parts of this mod such as the music, the bat and ball, and the crowd that enhances the experience for you. I have to admit that even though I’ve been an avid fan of the Negro Leagues for many years, I soon discovered that I didn’t know as much as I thought before I began work on this mod. The John Holloway book was a tremendous source of history and statistics just for starters. I’m glad that you enjoyed the very colorful nicknames of these great players. Even though I had the information as far as their real first names; I wanted to maintain the player’s nicknames in the mod to give it that special vibe. While doing the painstaking roster work on this mod, my 2 favorite nicknames I stumbled upon were Leonard “Fatty” Pigg and a pitcher named Beans Salmon (sounds like a heartburn inducing meal). I was very driven to finally get this mod completed because I contend that there will never be anything as unique in sports like the Negro Leagues were in the heydays of the 1920s-1940s. Not only because historically it was definitely a different kind of game; but it also includes the racial dynamics of the era where these men, excluded from the Major Leagues, went out and established an equal quality product of baseball in America. As I mentioned before, this is a nod of admiration and respect for this great league. Thanks so much for your detailed review and taking the time to outline and enjoy this game. I figured you would be one of the top fans for this mod, for sure. Dennis
  24. I don't mind at all...please feel free to do that. Thanks again for all of your work with this as well.
  25. Thanks bro...your 1942 KC Monarchs uniforms and other graphics work really helped to put this over the top.
