**Version 3 Update** -More accurate ads and ad placement. -Updated Dugout -New Toronto Crowd -New "Home Run" Sign **VERSION 2 UPDATE** Sorry for such a quick revision but I thought I had made a mistake while re-packing the stadiums; if there was any problems before, it should be fixed with this update. I also changed the dugout ads. Ad and field update for the 2010 Rogers Centre. Day & Night versions included. Enjoy!!
  7. Hey Y4L, I’ve been getting a kick out of your weekly articles and they have become a refreshing read compared to the dreck of popular news or the issues of the daily work week. I do agree with your point about the unintelligible garble that comes out of the drive-thru intercom systems. It’s also extremely frustrating to couple it with someone you cannot understand. I’m all for speaking whatever language you want in your own home or neighborhood; but don’t put people who cannot speak clearly on the mike at every drive-thru. I have to deal with that at least 3 times a week here in southern California and since I do not speak Spanish…well let’s just say that I have had many messed-up orders (I’ve stopped counting). Sheesh! Also, thank you for the positive compliments. I hope that some of my contributions can enhance the game for us die-hard fans of MVP Baseball and I will definitely continue my efforts. Take Care, Dennis
  8. Edtench, I found some more updated photos of the stadium online and have updated the scoreboard and the outfield wall below it. The 2.0 update is a closer approximation to the 2010 stadium now.

Here's an ad update for the 2010 Safeco Field. The "Thank You" Sign I made for the outfield walls was just something I whipped up in order to cover the 30th Anniversary (2007) signs. It's nothing official...just something different. Day & Night versions included. Enjoy!!

  15. Hey All, I wanted to pass on a testimonial on a pretty good baseball book I just finished this past weekend. "Big Hair and Plastic Grass: A Funky Ride Through Baseball and America in the Swinging '70s" (nice short title) is some light reading and a fun look back into Major League Baseball throughout a truly transitional decade of the 1970s. Virtually all aspects that you could think of are covered in this book, my man Oscar Gamble's hair, Bill "The Spaceman" Lee's hemp-induced dietary supplement, and the other effects that social and pop-culture events had on Baseball and vice-versa. The book cover alone makes it a worthwhile purchase. I just wished it came with a large poster of it.... Speaking of Mr. Gamble...I want to take the time to give much thanks again to all of you guys who have been involved in the TC Mods for MVP Baseball. I had just discovered these things in the past couple of months and love them all to death. A lot of the newer games are pretty cool; but I will always contend that with MVP Baseball, you get a great modern (with the updates) baseball game and the mods give the HISTORY of the game as well. Thanks again guys, how else would I be able to play my 1975 Cleveland Indians in their awesome all-red uniforms? Finally, I was going through some Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes stored on my computer the other day and found this cool clip from a movie called "The Horror at Party Beach" I got a kick out of it... http://s742.photobucket.com/albums/xx63/onizuka03/?action=view&current=OscarGambleDoll.flv

Here's an update to the scoreboard as well as a few miscellaneous add-ons for the Oakland Coliseum. Not real big changes...like the update for the radio station sign is Xtra Sports 860am now. Anyway, just copy the day & night .BIG files into your mvpbaseball2005/data/stadium folder. Enjoy!!
  19. Hey there Rock, Thanks for the comments. Yes, you can tweak the ballpark dimensions somewhat. Once you have this stadium copied over, you would start the game and then go into "Owner Mode". * Once there, load the Owner Profile you had created so that you can make any changes you need to. * Go to "Ballpark Setup" * Go to "Field Shape" (the 3rd selection down from the top) * From there I believe that you can change from 4 different field dimmensions for the stadium. * Save the changes to your Owner Profile and then you're all set to go. Here is a rendition of the Lakeland Flying Tigers (A) Stadium. It's basically a heavily modified Victory Field stadium; but it was the closest one I could work with to get the look I wanted. This stadium will replace the "Spring Training A (One)" stadium. Just copy to your mvpbaseball2005/data/stadium folder. Enjoy!!

**2.0 Update** *Dark Blue Frame on backstop ads *Better Color-Matching with the outfield ads (the green color) *Changed the night sky in the Night version. Just in time for this year's Battle of the Beltway(this weekend)...I slightly jazzed-up the Nationals Park from the MVP 08 Upgrade. Very minor stuff here... *replaced the inagural of Nationals Park logo with the current (post-2008) one. *replaced the "Welcome Home" wall-logo with a Nat's Town one *added a few other logo signs and the Battle of the Beltway sign in the outfield. *darkened the red on the big/left-field Nationals sign. Just copy the day/nite .BIG files into your mvpbaseball2005/data/stadium folder to overwrite your existing rfk(stadium) files. Enjoy!!

*Marlins FIeld* Marlins Create-A-Stadium (CAS) Day & Night Editions Virtually everything has been modified for a new stadium for the Florida Marlins. I wouldn't suggest the high RF Wall (would look weird) I know this isn't a super-accurate rendition; but I think their current stadium is one of the ugliest ones in the league. Fine for football but terrible for baseball (in my opinion). I even replaced the generic statue with a cool looking marlin I found on the internet. **Special Note on the outfield "name of the stadium sign"** You would have to call this stadium "Marlins Field" as it stands now. I went lazy and only created the font in the cram32.fsh file for the letters to spell out that name. **Instructions** Simply copy the the venuday & venunite .BIG files into your mvpbaseball2005/data/stadium folder. Enjoy!

**3.0 Update** -New Yankee Home Run Sign -Improved Yankees Crowd -A couple of Updated Ads -Removed the new stadium logos off of the Yankee pillars -Dimensions are more accurate with included Yankee owner mode file. Also included the "YANKEE" owner mode file. Place file into your My Documents/MVP Baseball 2005 folder. Load it when selecting the "Create-A-Stadium" to get it to look exactly like the newer screenshots. **2.0 Update: Slight re-coloring work and change on 1 of the baseline logos** *Yankee Stadium* Yankees Create-A-Stadium (CAS) Day & Night Editions Virtually everything has been modified for new Yankee Stadium. I wouldn't suggest the high RF Wall (would look weird) I know this isn't a super-accurate rendition; but I think it looks decent. It just bugs me to play in the old Yankee Stadium. **Special Note on the outfield "name of the stadium sign"** You would have to call this stadium "Yankeee Stadium" as it stands now. I went lazy and only created the font in the cram32.fsh file for the letters to spell out that name. **Instructions** Simply copy the the venuday & venunite .BIG files into your mvpbaseball2005/data/stadium folder. Version 3.0 (2011) * Replaced 50th Anniversary ads and other ads with new ones. * New coloring/texture to restaurant building to match a real texture at Target Field. * New Home Run Sign * Twins Crowd Day & Night Versions Included. Also included the "TWINS" owner mode file. Place file into your My Documents/MVP Baseball 2005 folder. Load it when selecting the "Create-A-Stadium" to get it to look exactly like the newer screenshots. Version 2.0 UPDATE Just changed the 1st & 3rd base line logos, added the New Era logo strip in the dugout, and added the Target Field 2010 Inagural Sign in the stadium. *Target FIeld* Twins Create-A-Stadium (CAS) Day & Night Editions Virtually everything has been modified for the Twins new outdoor stadium. I wouldn't suggest the high RF Wall (would look weird) I know this isn't a super-accurate rendition; but I absolutely hate the Metrodome. **Special Note on the outfield "name of the stadium sign"** You would have to call this stadium "Target Field" as it stands now. I went lazy and only created the font in the cram32.fsh file for the letters to spell out that name. **Instructions** Simply copy the the venuday & venunite .BIG files into your mvpbaseball2005/data/stadium folder.
