  5. Kev, I can upload this version as well. Getting the ball cursor back in is just a matter of importing the .dds back into the original slot (I will get you the slot # this evening) but the arrows and replay circle are actually 3d models.
  6. The eye color textures are in the global.iff. Not sure about the slot # for the blue/brown, I can get back to you tonight with it This got me thinking though, wouldn't the eyes be coded in to the roster file as well? As the rest of the appearance attributes are saved there, it would seem that the eye color would be too and not part of the cyberface.iff. Anyone with a hex editor want to use the same roster and create two players exactly the same with the exception of eye color and check the differences in the .ros file?

  9. Will have this up tonight, The initial release removes the pitching cursor along with yellow "ball movement" arrows. Gives it a shot, makes the gameplay more natural especially if you have a force feedback control that lets you know when you are around the edge of the strike zone.
  10. Most likely not unfortunately, we could edit the skin tones in the current slots but that's about it.
  11. You get familiar with the file structure pretty quickly if you spend any time with the mod tools. If you are interested I would just dig into the global.iff start matching how the dds files complete the textures in game. For example the shoes are only comprised of two dds files this year (unlike last year where they were 3). Style 1(iirc) is located in slots 455 (color and texture map) and 815 (bump map) Here is a screenshot of the before (top) and after (bottom). This is only a superficial view as all of the work is done in the individual R,G,B and Alpha channels When I finish the pack, I'll release the slot numbers for the entire global.iff and may make a tutorial if there is enough interest.

    Peña1's MLB 2k12 On Field Display Mod+ This makes the following changes to the gamedata.iff Removes the yellow pitching arrows (FINALLY!) Removes the blue replay circle [Perfect for video makers!] Changes the B3 and B5 button icons to Left Bumper and X button. Removes ball cursor while pitching Changes the opacity of the fielding circles to ~20% and makes the landing marker a little smaller. Seems minor but makes a huge difference. In other words, No more solid white circles covering half the outfield. Removes the MAX logo when executing pitching mechanic perfectly. You will still hear the sound. I am sharing this as the initial release as this is my preferred setup. If anyone would like a variation of this (no arrows, with replay circle, with ball cursor, etc), please let me know. And yes, the yellow pitching arrows are really gone!   13. fwiw, it wouldn't be angles (unless you are talking about the different default camera angles) you would be looking for, but the values of the zoom, height, etc as well as a clipping switch that stops the cursor from moving past the walls of the playing field... unfortunately this is beyond me at the moment. As DS mentioned though, knowing where to start looking would be quite the task...
  14. finally, finally, finally!!! Big news fellas. After years of searching for these things, the yellow pitching arrows have been found, and promptly removed I also got rid of the blue circle in the replay mode! This will be great for video makers. No more trying to hide the thing behind players and low angles when capturing game footage. I have some testing to do when I get off work tonight, but should be able to to upload the file late this evening. I can make several versions with variations of: no arrows / no replay circle / no ball cursor / no,10%,small landing circles / - suggestions? :drinks:

    A Few Questions

    the folder is still somewhere... make sure you have folders set to show hidden files, click start > search> enter ".ros" should bring up all roster files, from here you can find their location via properties
  16. The cleats were a little tougher this year, you can see they actually get better with each update. With the final release, each shoe will be on the same quality level as the adidas, mizuno, and reeboks. As for an ETA, no guarantees, but I'm hoping to have a release out by this Sunday, maybe sooner.
  17. hah i was assuming he already imported the dds file into the 2k12 global.... yea you definitely cant use old global files, but you do not have to compress the iff files after you have opened them with the mod tools.
  18. you don't have to, just replace the global.iff in your 2k12 directory.

    DD, try using this first( http://www.moddingway.com/file/15402.html ) before you load it into the modtool Same issue Qbrick and I had earlier. Jim (or any other admin ), do you think we can get the modding notes thread stickied until we can get a FAQ thread compiled?
