Something I did notice when using the F7 disable signature - if you reboot, you must re-do the disable - I'm looking for a way to permanently disable it. If you reboot using F7 - play a game, shutdown MVP 15, reboot, the game won't start - I have to reboot using the F7 move again. : (

Hi There, Here is the legal, legit way to disable Driver Signature Verification in Windows 10, without any difficulty...just follow the instructions in the link below and enjoy! I I disabled driver signature verification enforcement, and all my old games now work - faster to - too fast, but they work : ) http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how-to-disable-driver-signature-verification-on-64-bit-windows-8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/

I only install Patch 5 - never have any problems.

Howdy! I just installed MVP14 on Win 8.1, everything went well, played one game, and simmed another....no issues to report at this point. I do however have to get better game play tuning numbers : ) I left everything at default....snooze. Would love to get the walk ratio's more accurate...but I'm sure it's a pipe dream : ) Thanks for your hard work.

Yes & No, you must run TiT in Compatibility Mode...some files may not install, but you can manually place the files that did not. Owen

It has only happened once, but all seems well with editing. I still get the crashes when I play Boston, not all the time and not every game against them, but only Boston...so far : )
-
I had a crash when I tried to edit a player in my Dynasty/Season mode. But I haven't done any trouble shooting yet, otherwise, I'm very pleased with all the hard work that went into this project. Played 2 games, won the 1st 5-1, lost the second 10-1, I decided to play MVP mode, I am pretty slow to react to the pitching : ) Having fun, and will keep you posted if I find anything on my editing issues.

Does anyone other than hockey593 have TiT or Schedule Changer working on Win 8, if so, what did you do to get it to work?
-
Hey Homer, Your eamods.com link in your graphic obviously doesn't work : ) I'm a BaseBall hound, I actually love the off-season for player moves and the like, I would love for a BaseBall Game to have the off-season be more like real life. I like being able to buy players for cash, claim players off waivers, and have more control over budgets and payroll....that would be so much fun : ) I like MVP better than 2k, but it has it's good points too.

I'm not finding anything that I would call an advantage, they have made it harder to configure, or at least harder to find where to configure the system. It is really looking like it is being designed for Cloud use ONLY....I'm thinking that's where M$ is headed. I can see Tablet all over this OS, but I don't actually own one : ) Win 7 is the last of the look and feel we are used to.

Ya, I was a member of his site too...I guess he's moved on to other things, too bad, I liked his work too.

I got it MVP 2005 to work on Win 8, but TiT does not work, so you can't install Patch 1 & 2, well you can manually : )
-
Did he (Krawhitham) just lose interest or did real life just get in the way?
-
I obviously thought there would be a willingness to keep things rolling on newer OS's, I guess not. Sorry I brought the topic up. Having said that, I do appreciate all who participate and work hard on modding here. The game runs on Win 8 just fine, it's TiT that actually doesn't run...so I guess there's nothing more to do to run MVP 2005 BaseBall on Win 8. Consider the subject closed.

No worries man! I'm just sharing my perspective that's all : ) If MVP is that important to me, and it is these days because it's my entertainment....I have another machine not doing anything, I can put XP on it and be all the MVP I can be : ) But it still might make sense to port the game for Win 8 in the future, but I'm not the one doing the modding so I'll be grateful for anything this community builds.
-
You're taking me to literal, if we want this game to have life...then the modders will have to figure out how to make it work on Win 8, that's all I'm saying. Whether the modders, (and that's not me unfortunately) do or do not is entirely up to them, but one way or the other...if MVP 2005 BaseBall is going to continue to be played, it makes sense to me that more and more people will be upgrading the OS, because there will be no other choice....not staying with XP, Vista or Win 7 just to play the game. WE are the only people playing this game to my knowledge, if WE don't do it...who will? So the responsibility will still be with the modders until EA Sports brings it back to life. It's simple logic to me...I'm not aware of any other group modding this game, that's why I am saying WE : ) Anyway, I'm not attacking and I'm not trying **** you off....just looking at this from a different perspective.

Ya it's still a bummer, Schedule Updater doesn't work on Win 8 either : (
-
No matter how you feel about M$, we as a community still have to change and build mods that will run on the latest OS. You can only hold back the tide for so long : ) Win 8 is really just Win 7 with new clothes, but Win 8 Pro has all the friggin Bitlock crap and other various things you would need on a Tablet, and that is where problems arise IMHO : ) I would rather run MVP on Slackware Linux because that's what I run on my Laptop, I run Windows because the rest of my family knows how to use it. Plus, they don't like Linux : ) I love these klnds of challenges anyway, I can't wait to try Schedulde Updater now ; - )

OK, MVP 2005 Stock will install, Patch 5 installed fine. I had to install MVP12 via explodeme, it said there was a problem opening all the database folder files. I was unable to install MVP12 Patches 1 & 2 because TiT will not run properly, or at least it won't finish without crashing. I do have MVP12 working without the two patches : ) So it does work, but you have to turn off Smartscreen and Account Access before you can even think about installing. I'm a happy camper so far : )

I'm installing...soon I will know : )
