Just read over in MLB 2k12 forums, that 2k12 does not run on Windows 8 - maybe that's my get a clue : )

Just curious if anyone has made the attempt to run MVP on Windows 8 Pro....????

I've tried everything and I can't get this thing to work, is there another tool or way to change the date in MVP?

I have never had to run it that way, but I'm experimenting with permissions...looks like that might help : )

It would appear something is not right, I tried running the schedule updater with just a clean install of MVP 2005 with Patch 5, no mods of any kind. It still won't run, the MVP Editor also does not open the database to view or make changes to rosters or players. It worked before, but for some reason now it does not...it could be an MS Update that caused the problem...well, I like to think thats the problem : ) Bummed at the moment.

I just finished a clean install of MVP, patch 5 installed, installed MVP 12, the Patch 1 & 2, updated Rosters...start the game, go into my Dynasty / season, went to run the Schedule Updater as I always do...it opens a DOS box and displays nothing, and in seconds it's gone. I'm running this on Windows Vista, have been for years, ran MVP exactly as the setup above before a clean install. Any ideas as to what might be the problem?

I have tried them all actually, I tend to go back to Jim825's Datafile & recently have been using BaseUp Phase 5 Rosters...downloaded Phase 6 today. Thanks for your help anyway : )

Ya, I found them earlier...curious though...the BaseUp Phase 6 Ver. 3.1 Rosters Instructions say to turn off Injuries & Suspension to prevent crashes, but in your sliders you have injury settings. Am I missing something here or does it matter if I leave Injuries on?

Hey Trues, I just subscribed, why? Because I'm grateful for the Modders. This old man loves BaseBall, plays MVP BaseBall, so thanks to you and all your friends that work so hard to make this game fun to play...STILL! Well then, you have answered one of my concerns, thanks again : ) So far I'm getting killed, the CPU thinks it's a Homerun Derby for the CPU, apparently I suck at pitching, or I have it set to be that hard to pitch around the CPU Batters. Talk to you later,

Thanks, I have Jim825's Datafile, I haven't installed it because I wasn't sure if it was cleared to do so : ) Was mostly curious as to who is using what, looking for shortcut I guess....don't want to spend lots of time trying to figure me out I guess : ) Thanks again.

I may be off topic here but a quick question. I installed MVP12, an amazing bit of work I must say. Those playing this mod, are you using the stock settings or are you using modified datafiles and special tuning? I found sliders by Jistics, which appear to be very good, I used to use Jim825 but can't find his slider settings anymore : ( What are you masters running? Owen

I can't download it from Amazon because I'm in Canada....I can't seem to find a way to get this game. : ( Any ideas (legal that is)?????

I wish this was the 1972 team, I think that was the better of the three World Champion Teams in my humble opinion : 0 I was wondering what game tuning options you were using and datafile as well? I find the pitching is extremely strong, my pitchers never walk anyone and I have to wait till deep in the count for a walk. Thanks for a great MOD none the less....talk to you soon. Owen
